Naomi Evedene Taylor

Naomi Evedene Taylor of Meadview died Wednesday Jan. 7, 1998, in Kingman. She was 62.

Mrs. Taylor was born May 14, 1935, in Clarksville, Calif., and came to Arizona 37 years ago from Nevada. She had lived in Meadview for 5 ba 12 ea years and was a homemaker. She lived in Bagdad for 32 years.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by: her husband, Vernon Taylor of Meadview; one daughter, Deborah Tutt of Auburn, Calif.; two sons, Daniel Taylor of Elko, Nev., and Dale Taylor of Cornville; two sisters, Grace Rule and Anna Cheretti, both of Auburn, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-granchildren.

No services will be held. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.

Karl F. Koehler

Karl F. Koehler died Monday Jan. 5, 1998, in Meadview. He was 81.

Mr. Koehler was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Germany and came to Arizona 19 years ago from New Jersey. He was a radar logistics manager.

Mr. Koehler is survived by: one daughter, Barbara Guest of Lakewood, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday Jan. 12, 1998, at Grace Lutheran Church in Kingman with the Rev. Steve Bergeson officiating. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Nedra Faye Bruns

Nedra Faye Bruns died Monday Jan. 5, 1998, in Kingman. She was 67.

Mrs. Bruns was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Coweta, Okla., and came to Kingman 21 years ago from California. She was a secretary at the Mohave County Assessor's Office.

She was also a member of the Ladies Democratic Auxiliary, the Cattleman's Association in Golden Valley, the VFW Auxiliary and a Moose lodge in California. She was a notary and was involved in local charity work.

Mrs. Bruns is survived by: one son, William W. Jackson Jr. of Baker City, Ore.; two daughters, Valeria Anne Piercy of Missoula, Mont., and Charlotte J. Reynolds of Kingman; four sisters, Jean Hershall, Judy Stout, Gert Sullivan, all of Oklahoma, and Norma Kelsey of California; two brothers, John Neal and Harold "Cubbie" Neal, both of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, in May 1995, and one grandson, Michael R. Reynolds, in April 1997.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday Jan. 9, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Fair officiating.

Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Reynolds family, 3606 John L Ave., Kingman, Ariz. 86401.

Lettie W. Shuffler

Lettie Walterine Shuffler died Monday Jan. 5, 1998, in Kingman. She was 74.

Mrs. Shuffler was born July 24, 1923, in McKinney, Texas, and came to Arizona 46 years ago from that state. She had lived in Kingman since 1964. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Parker, Texas, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Shuffler is survived by: her husband of 55 years, Billy L. Shuffler of Kingman; one daughter, Barbara Ann Ricca of Kingman; three sons, Paul Wayne Shuffler, John Holland Shuffler and Gregory Scott Shuffler, all of Kingman; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday Jan. 8, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday Jan. 9, 1998, also at Sutton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Sigman officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Larry Acton

Larry Acton of Kingman died Sunday Jan. 4, 1998, in Phoenix. He was 61.

Mr. Acton was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Cedarville, Ohio, and came to Kingman 20 years ago from Berlin, Germany. He was a retired U.S. Army sergeant who served two tours of duty in the Vietnam conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Mr. Acton is survived by: his longtime companion, Theresa Acton of Kingman; two brothers, Lamar Acton of Kingman and Bill Acton of Globe; one sister, Nancy Makinson of Kingman; four nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and nephews.

No services are planned. Cremation is being handled by Harvey Funeral Home of Phoenix.

Hugh Kenneth Face

Hugh Kenneth Face died Saturday Jan. 3, 1998, in Kingman. He was 57.

Mr. Face was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Albany, N.Y., and came to Arizona 46 years ago from New York. He had lived in Kingman for 10 years and was a diesel parts manager. He was also a den leader for the Boy Scouts.

Mr. Face is survived by: one son, Kenneth Ira "Kiffy" Face of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Kimberly Byran Gilmore of Lakewood, Wash.; two brothers, Elwood Face of Kingman and Dennis Face of Midland, Texas; and one sister, Thelma Leek of Midland, Texas.

No services were announced. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.

Montie Lee Miller

Montie Lee Miller died Sunday Jan. 4, 1998, in Kingman. She was 91.

Mrs. Miller was born March 31, 1906, in Ballinger, Texas, and came to Arizona from California 81 years ago. She had lived in Kingman since 1947.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church as well as the VFW Post No. 3516 Auxiliary. She also worked in the cafeterias of local schools for several years.

Mrs. Miller is survived by: two daughters, Melba Hatton of Kingman and Ruby Hatton of Idaho Falls, Idaho.; one son, Walt Miller of Kingman; two sisters, Esther Lacey of Camp Verde and Merle Eby of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Everett Strange of Mesa; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 48 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Walter, in 1962; one daughter, Myrtle Hollers in 1981; one son, James A. Miller in 1974; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 8, 1998, at Calvary Baptist Church. Services will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Maxine Deckard

Maxine E. Deckard died Friday Jan. 2, 1998, in Greenwood, Ind. She was 85.

Mrs. Deckard was born Oct. 23, 1912, in Danville, Ind., and had lived in Kingman and Naples, Fla., following her retirement from the Industrial Glove Factory in 1974, after 31 years. She was a member of the Kingman Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Deckard is survived by: stepchildren, Virginia Johnson of Bullhead City, Roger Deckard of Catlin, Ill., Nancy Roberts, and Carol Laird, both of Fontana, Calif.; one sister, Mercedes McCrone of Naples, Fla.; several stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are requested to the Danville Public Library outreach program in Danville, Ind.

Opal Estelle Fry

Opal Estelle Fry died Friday Dec. 26, 1997, in Meadview. She was 84. Mrs. Fry was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Oklahoma City. She was a former waitress who moved to Meadview from California 20 years ago. She retired in 1977.

Mrs. Fry was a liftime member of a parent-teacher association in California, a member of Quail in Meadview and she was a volunteer with the National Park Service in Oregon for 12 years. She also won many first-place ribbons for her jams and jellies at the Mohave County Fair and was nominated for the Pectin Society.

Mrs. Fry is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Robert Fry of Meadview; one daughter, Barbara Powell of Agura Hills, Calif.; one son, Orville Jones of Oxnard, Calif.; one sister, Ruby Robinson of Sharon, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren.

No services are planned. Sutton Crematory will handle the cremation.

Ressa Cozens

Ressa Cozens died Tuesday Jan. 1, 1998, in Dolan Springs. She was 90.

Mrs. Cozens was born Jan. 9, 1907, in Renfro, Okla., and came to Arizona nine years ago from California. She was a seamstress.

Mrs. Cozens is survived by: one son, Wilmer R. Cozens of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Lila Jensen of Meadview; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

No services were announced. Cremation was handled by Sutton Crematory.

Virginia Ryan

Virginia Ryan died Thursday Jan. 1, 1998, in Kingman. She was 79.

Mrs. Ryan was born June 23, 1917, in Ponca, Neb., and came to Kingman 15 years ago from California. She was a homemaker and a member of Manzanita Baptist Church. She was sole proprieter and founder of the Christian Book Shop in West Los Angeles from 1950 to 1970. She was a member of Redeemer Baptist Chuch in West Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Ryan is survived by: on son, Dean Tipps of Sacramento; one brother, Rex Conrad of Boulder City, Nev.; two nieces; two nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by: her husbands, Owen W. Tipps and William Ryan.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Jan. 5, 1998, at Manzanita Baptist Church. The Rev. Peter Ernst will officiate. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Ronnie Eldon Butler

Ronnie Eldon Butler died Wednesday Dec. 31, 1997, in Kiingman. He was 45.

Mr. Butler was born April 5, 1952, in Little Rock, Ark., and came to Kingman 10 years ago from Wyoming. He was a contractor for 25 years and a member of the Kingman Contractors Association. He was a member of the Kingman Chamber of commerce, and had been a contractor for 10 years in Kingman; 15 in Wyoming.

Mr. Butler is survived by: one son, Daniel Butler of Kingman; one daughter, Susan Butler of Kingman; his mother, Hester Butler of Sheridan, Ark.; five brothers, Hershel Muriel Butler, Herman Lee Butler, Jefferson Dwain Butler, John Carol Butler, and Norvin Dale Butler, all of Arkansas; and two sisters, Hester Laverne Syrja, and Oma Lavonne Rettig, both of Arkansas.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 5, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, also at Sutton. Burial will be in Morrilton, Ark., with Harris Funeral home handling the arrangements.

The family suggests memorial donations to account No. 7001004857, in Mr. Butler's name at Stockmen's Bank.

Irene Joan Fike

Irene Joan Fike died Wednesday Dec. 31, 1997, in Kingman. She was 61.

Mrs. Fike was born July 13, 1936, in Billings, Mont., and came to Arizona 12 years ago from Alaska. She had lived in Kingman for 2· years and had lived in Dolan Springs for 10 years. She attended the First Assembly of God Church and was a member of VFW Auxiliary No. 9833.

Mrs. Fike is survived by: her husband Art Fike of Dolan Springs; three sons, Lyle Kline of Bellevue, Wash., Terry Kline of Kingman and J.R. Fike of Everett, Wash.; one daughter, Collette Williams of Marysville, Wash.; five sisters, Mary Kreb and Lavone Kreb, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Lois Batt of Portland, Ore., Frances Botsch of Kingman and Vickie Archeleta of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Don O'Banion of Kingman; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday Jan. 3, 1998, at First Assembly of God Church in Kingman with the Rev. Dan Briles officiating. Burial will be in Chloride Cemetery.

Opal Estelle Fry

Mrs. Fry was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Oklahoma City. She was a former

James David Hunley

James David Hunley of Kingman died Sunday Nov. 22, 1998, in Tucson. He was 40.

Mr. Hunley was born April 22, 1958, in Chicago, and came to Kingman from Las Vegas, Nev., in 1986. He attended Kingman First Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Hunley is survived by: his wife, Stephannie; three daughters, Starr, Jewell and Christal; his parents, Don and Judy Blythe; one sister, Theresa Alvey; and one nephew.

A service for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. today - Sunday, Nov. 28, 1998 - at First Assembly of God Church.

Janice Marie Mott

Janice Marie Mott died Thursday Nov. 26, 1998, in Kingman. She was 62.

Mrs. Mott was born April 25, 1936, in Selma, Ala., and came to Kingman 35 years ago from California. She was a homemaker. She also worked for 15 years as a certified nursing assistant at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Mott is survived by: four sons, Aaron Mott, Donney Mott and Mel Mott, all of Kingman, and Sam Dunbar of Riverside, Calif.; four daughters, Elizabeth Mott of Stover, Mo., Debbie Mott of Kingman, Lisa Dunbar of Riverside, Calif., and Mary Mott of Kingman; two brothers, James Taylor and Richard Taylor, both of Sacramento,Calif.; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Verle Mott, in 1985; and one sister, Betty Cook, in 1994.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 1, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, also at Sutton. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Marvin Dale McCall

Marvin Dale McCall, a former Kingman resident, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, in Tucson. He was 68.

Mr. McCall was born April 29, 1930, in Phoenix and was a lifelong resident of Arizona. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and was owner of McCall's Canyon Farms Dairy. He was a milk delivery man who also delivered soft drinks and bread and had worked for Market Basket Grocery Stock.

Mr. McCall is survived by: two daughters, Gina Sparks and Kitty Long, both of Kingman; one brother, Bill McCall of Kingman; one sister, Edna Lawless of Grand Junction, Colo.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: one daughter, Sherry McCall, in 1992; and one sister, Louise Newell, also in 1992.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Nov.27, 1998, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Crematory.

Rosella Jo Perrill

Rosella Jo Perrill died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998 at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She was 72.

Miss Perrill was born Oct. 20, 1926 in Kingman, and was the only daughter of John and Flora Lewis Perrill. She formerly taught on the Navajo Reservation, and later went into newspaper work with the Arizona Farmer and other papers. She also worked in the news department of radio station KOY in Phoenix, with the Department of Agriculture A.S.C.S. office in Kingman and later in the Washington, D.C. office. She was a writer throughout her life.

Miss Perrill is survived by two brothers, James Perrill of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and John A. Perrill of San Francisco, Calif.; two nieces; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Charles.

There will be no services.
