William H. Millman, age 82, passed away on March 2, 2003 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born in Philadelphia on March 12, 1920, he was the son of James and Marie Millman. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Gertrude "Sis"; daughter, Donna Massing; son-in-law, Michael Massing; two grandsons, Joshua Bryan and Daniel Bryan. Also surviving are his brother, James Millman; sister, Marie Gregroy and sister Eleanor Yarnall.

Bill proudly served as a medic in the Americal Division of the Army in WWII. He worked as a maintenance engineer for ARCO in Philadelphia for 28 years and retired in 1975. In 1976, he began to drive the local shuttle bus in Bellmawr, New Jersey. Everyone in town knew him as "Bill the bus driver". He drove the bus for 13 years and retired again in 1994 at age 74.

Bill was an active associate member of the Bellmawr Park Fire Company for many years. Upon moving to Lake Havasu City in 1998, he became a member of the V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.

Bill was truly loved by all that knew him. He was a great family man and a true friend.

A visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Graveside services and interment will follow the visitation at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens and 11:30 AM with the V.F.W. Post 9401 and the American Legion holding military honors.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Lloyd Lee White passed away at his residence on Thursday September 11, 2003 at the age of 81 following a lengthy illness. Lloyd was born on August 4, 1922 in Foss, Oklahoma to Sidney and Estelle (Alexander) White. Prior to completing his final year in high school Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.

Following the war Lloyd began working in the plumbing and heating business. He was part owner and manager of J & O Supply in Pomona, California. Lloyd and his family began vacationing in Lake Havasu City in 1976 and moved here in 1986 from Chino, California. While living in California, Lloyd was very active in Little League and Pony League coaching his players, active with the Boy Scouts as well as the Elks Lodge.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vee of Lake Havasu City, sons John S. White and his wife Michele of Manassas, Virginia, Terry D. White and his wife Christine of Thousand Oaks, California and Rod L. White and his wife Gwen of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter Jeannie Patterson and her husband Bill of Grants Pass, Oregon and his sister Lois Combs of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also surviving are his grandchildren LeeAnn, Corie, Jacob, Katie, Luke, Julia, Joel, Ben, Nicole and Melissa and great grandchildren Allen and Aleeya.

Visitation will be Sunday September 14, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Graveside services will be Monday September 15, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens with Rev. Carol Sheffield officiating.

Military Honors will follow, performed by V.F.W. Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions in Lloyd's name go to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Sammy Gene Margro, 83, passed away in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on August 28th, 2003. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on November 15th, 1919 to Sam J. Margro and Gene "Moss" Margro.

Sammy worked in sales for Fort Worth Steel and Machine Co. in Fort Worth, Texas for 26 years. He is a resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona having moved here from Hacienda Heights, California 22 years ago. He is a proud veteran of World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. as a 1st Lt.

Sammy is survived by his loving wife Janet "Wilson" Margro of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents Sam J. Margro, Gene "Moss" Margro and sister Blanche Margro.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Evelyn Ann Bays, 56, passed away July 6, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Nelson and Evelyn (Watson) Thomas on March 13, 1947 in Long Beach, California.

Evelyn made Lake Havasu her home 19 years ago, moving here from Lakewood, California. She owned her own salon here in Lake Havasu for many years.

Evelyn was a member of the Lakeview Community Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, James E. Bays; two daughters, Diane Smith and Darlene Bays and four grandchildren.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Lee Edward Burpee, 72, passed away July 10, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Charles & Lulu (Clough) Burpee on April 27, 1931 in Concord, New Hampshire.

Mr. Burpee made Lake Havasu his home 20 years ago, moving here from Goleta, California where he owned and operated Arbiter Systems, Inc. for 12 years. He was also a proud veteran in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Lee is survived by his two sons, Aaron Burpee of Portland, Oregon and Eric Burpee of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Patricia Lenore Koehler, 74, passed away on July 10th, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born Patricia Whitehead on March 15th, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA. She attened Hollywood High School and shortly after graduation she married Fred in Las Vegas, NV; and they lived most of their lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Pat worked for the Los Angeles Board of Education in the payroll department and as a school bus driver for special education children. She loved the children and took pride in her skill as a bus driver.

Pat and Fred raised dairy goats, with a herd of 35 champion Nubian goats. She was an accomplished goat midwife and was called on for many emergencies throughout the Los Angeles area. Pat was active in local politics and won praise for her eloquent and tenacious defense the rural character of the Los Angeles foothills.

Pat struggled with poor health in her later years and moved to Lake Havasu City, Az; for the warm clean air. She loved the desert. Pat and Fred took special pleasure in the beautiful sunsets viewed from the island.

She is survived by her loving husband, Fred, 8l, and two children, Fred "Freddie" Koehler, 54 of Santa Cruz, CA; and Sky "Judy" De Martinis, 52 of Burbank, CA. Pat was a proud grandmother of Germain, 26, Merlin, 24 and Leonore "Lulu", 22. Pat also leaves her 1/2 sister Beverly and cousins Marjorie and June.

Patricia loved her husband who promises to continue to wear a hat in the sun and drink lots of water. "No couple were ever more in love"!

Fredrick William Roy, 82, passed away July 11, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born to John & Mary (Musgrove) Roy on February 20, 1921 in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Roy made Lake Havasu his home 15 years ago, moving here from Pasadena, California where he worked for Unisys for 30 years. He was a veteran in the Canadian Army during WWII.

He is survived by his sister, Doreen Brodie of Oshawa, Ontatio, Canada.

Fredrick is preceded in death by his wife, Elda Loraine (McPherson) Roy whom he had married May 11, 1946.

Contributions may be made in his name to the Salvation Army, 2030 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
