Woodrow W. Osterson, 84, passed away September 30, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to George & Sophia (Erickson) Osteron on December 16, 1918 in Ruthven, Iowa.

Woodrow made Lake Havasu his home 8 years ago, moving here from Montana. He was an auto mechanic in Mazolia, Montana for many years.

Woodrow was also a proud veteran in the US Navy during WWII.

Mr. Osterson is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl and niece, Carol LaRue of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Sally Smith Worthen, 60, passed away unexpectantly on September 28th, 2003 at her home in Lake Havasu City, Az. She was born on March 13th, 1943 in Bronxville, New York.

Sally moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 15 years ago from Canoga Park, CA. She was a member of the Relics & Rods and her two cars showed how she loved bright colors. She would only allow Mike Love to paint her cars. She loved her house, jewelry, Sea Doos, soaps, restaurants and two cats Lucy and Mini-M.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ron Worthen, sons Paul Vaughan and wife Brandi, Don Vaughan and wife Robbin both of Las Vegas, NV; step-sons Greg Worthen and wife Sherrie, Ron Worthen and wife Annette both of California, Jeff Worthen and wife Traci of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and 11 beautiful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Betsy Smith and also a baby son named Robert.

A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, October 4th, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Inurnment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, Az.

In lieu of flower, donations may be made in her name to Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr, Lake Havasu City, Az. 86404.

Her laugh and soft voice will be missed by many of us.

Frank Mathew Dietrick, 74, passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at his home. Frank was born September 4, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.

Frank and his wife, Michelle moved to Lake Havasu City in 1997, embracing the warm weather, relaxed lifestyle and friendly people offered by the area. Frank was proud of his service as a Marine in the Korean War and additional six years of service in the Reserve Marine Corps. He retired as an engineer from Daimler-Chrysler after 34 years and embarked on a second 8 year career with Standard Contracting, Inc. of Detroit before moving to Lake Havasu.

Blessed with exceptional energy, enthusiasm and good health, Frank enjoyed playing golf, hiking, home projects and meeting and communicating with new people. He was a wonderfully kind person, always willing to assist those in need and will be sorely missed by loving family and friends. His devotion, aid and effort in caring for his now deceased mother-in-law will never be forgotten.

Club memberships included the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, both the Phoenix and Michigan Chapters. He was accepted as a Shriner at the El Zariba Temple, Phoenix in 1998. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League and the National Council of Senior Citizens.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Michelle of Lake Havasu; cousin, Jean Keefer of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; stepsons, John Leone and his wife Michelle of Ellicott City, Maryland, Anthony Leone and his wife Bobbie of Utica, Michigan; stepdaughter, Gina Edwards and her husband Eric of Lake Havasu; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Williams of Madison, Indiana, Robyn Ambrose and her husband John of Jefferson, Ohio; grandchildren, Dominic, Anthony and Katie Leone, Andrew and Michelle Edwards and Anna Leone, who was born on the day Frank passed away; special friends, Dan and Kathy Howell of South Lyon, Michigan, Mel and Connie Wrobel of Trenton, Michigan and Bob and Fran McNary of Lake Havasu.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 4, 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Jane Wynkoop will do a reading and the Masonic Services will be held by the Masonic Lodge #64 of the Free and Accepted Masons. The Marine Corps League will conduct military honors.

Interment will be in a family crypt in Madison, Indiana.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Marine Corps League, Toys for Tots Program, PO Box 311, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.

Dolores Jean Sparkman, 78, passed away on September 25th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on February 7th, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio.

Dolores moved to Arizona 47 years ago from Santa Monica, CA.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne K. De Martini Hovermale and husband Rick of Lake Havasu City, Az; step-sons William Sparkman and wife Sona and Jim Sparkman, grandchildren Wiliam and Denise, great grandchildren Colton, Paquita, Paige and Chase and dear friend Donna Cateldo.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Arland Ralph Westphal, 84, passed away September 23, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Arthur & Emma (Gieslar) Westphal on October 4, 1918 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Arland graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1936. On August 17, 1940, he married his best friend Winnifred Gottbehuet.

In 1943, during WWII he joined the US Navy where he was proud to serve for his country.

Arland moved to La Habra, California in 1949, then to Desert Hot Springs, California in 1975 and made Lake Havasu his home in 1990. For 45 years he was a self employed realtor in La Habra, California.

Mr. Westphal also enjoyed being a member of the Gem and Mineral Society.

He is survived by his loving family, sons, Donald Westphal of Lake Havasu and Hal Westphal of Long Beach, California; one daughter Vicki Smiglewski of Clayton, California; four grandchildren, Russell Smiglewski, Eric, Kristen and Chad Westphal; three great grandchildren, Johnette and William Smiglewski and Justin Westphal.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Winnifred and brother Robert Westphal.

A memorial services will be held Saturday, September 27, 10:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Pastor Tom Dunham will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, that family requests donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403. Donation envelopes are available at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home for your convenience.

Ina Claire Christofferson, 79, passed away September 22, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Carl & Ina (Broadbent) Erickson on June 9, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Ina moved to Lake Havasu one year ago from Salt Lake City, Utah.

She is survived by her loving family, sons, John B. Christofferson and his wife Janice of Corona, California, Steve W. Christofferson and Mike Christofferson, both of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Janine Jabush, Jason, Sean and Michael Christofferson; great grandchildren, Caitlin Christofferson, Joshua Jabush, Jacob and Jarett Christofferson.

Ina is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford B. Christofferson.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 26, 4:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Rev. Carol Sheffield will officiate.

Ina will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
