Lucille Lillian Draney

Lucille Lillian Draney, 85, of Chino Valley, born Nov. 3, 1916, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 in Chino Valley.

Services were at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Arrangements by Chino Valley Funeral Home.

David Allen Moore

David Allen Moore, born on May 18, 1939, died April 9, 2002, at his home in Chino Valley.

Services were Tuesday at the First Southern Baptist Church of Chino Valley with Pastor Mark Reeder presiding.

Chino Valley Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.

Carol Jean Malnar

Carol Jean Malnar, 50, born Jan. 7, 1952, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at her home in Paulden.

Services were Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chino Valley and interment at the Arizona Pioneers’ Home Cemetery in Prescott.

Chino Valley Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.

Laura E. Edel

Laura E. Edel, 90, of Chino Valley, died on April 12, 2002. She was born on Oct. 24, 1911. No funeral services were held. Arrangements by Arizona Wakelin Funeral Home.

Eunice Genevieve Gibbs

Eunice Genevieve Gibbs, 84, of Chino Valley, born June 10, 1917, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Chino Valley.

There is no visitation or services scheduled.

Arrangements by Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Donald L. Waugh

Donald L. Waugh, 78, of Chino Valley, born Sept. 13, 1923, died Friday, April 26, 2002, in Prescott’s Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hampton Funeral Home.

Vinetta Sorensen

Vinetta Sorensen, 71, of Chino Valley, born on June 8, 1930, died on April 27, 2002. Local arrangements were made by Memory Chapel Mortuary.

Betty Samarin

Betty Samarin, 78, of Chino Valley, born on February 25, 1924, died on April 30, 2002. Arrangements were made by Chino Valley Funeral Home.

John Allen (Jack) Morrow

Jack died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. He was born Sept. 12, 1932 in Prescott, the son of John and Minniemae Morrow. He was raised from youth to adulthood by Ott Morrow and Dorothy (Morrow) Warnock.

Jack graduated from Flagstaff High in 1951 where he lettered in football and basketball. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Korea and later graduated from the University of Arizona in Mechanical Engineering. He was a practicing engineer for 32 years in the field of Mining, Aerospace and Chemical engineering where his work was formally recognized through the awarding of patents involving inertial instrumentation. He was a Professional Engineer in the state of Washington.

Jack dedicated much of his spare time to serving in the community as a youth coach in Washington State. As a devoted Christian, Jack loved his church family at St. Catherine’s Laboure Church in Chino Valley where he served as an Eucharistic Minister to the homebound.

Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Louise (Swann) Morrow and son Weston Allen Morrow. He is survived by his wife Helen; daughter Mary (Barich) Hendrickson and her husband George; sons, Larry Barich and his wife Konni, Wayne Morrow and his wife Janice, Vince Barich and his wife Karan, Warren Morrow and his wife Nancy, and Phillip Barich and his wife Joelyne. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, Karli, Bryce, Rustin, Daniel, Lucas, Michael, Katie, Sandra, Weston, Jesse Quinn, Lawrence and Jaci. All of whom loved him very much.

Arrangements entrusted to The Chino Valley Funeral Home (636-8225). There was an informal graveside service on May 10, with a memorial Mass on May 11 at St. Catherine’s Laboure Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jack’s favorite charities, St. Vincent De Paul of Chino Valley (St. Catherine Laboure Church) and Father Wasson, Friends of the Orphans, P.O. Box 25517, Tempe, AZ 85285-5507.

Dolores Mae Johnson

Dolores Mae Johnson, age 72, died peacefully at her home with all her family members present in Chino Valley on May 8, 2002. She was born on Feb. 5, 1930 in Calumet, Michigan to Homer and Stella (Eklund) Jones. After retiring from the VA Medical Center in 1992, Dolores traveled, gambled, gardened and attended her church of 30 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Warren Johnson; daughters, Paulette Kerns, Denise Peters, Brenda Rodarte, Carol Turner and her son, Randy Johnson. Also a brother Glenwood Jones and a sister Marie Reece; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of Chino Valley and Prescott.

A church service was held on May 13 at the Chino Valley Community Church, 1969 North Highway 89. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets, Prescott.

Juanita Marie Kemplin

Juanita Marie Kemplin, 45, of Chino Valley, born January 19, 1957, died Sunday, May 5, 2002. Services were at New Hope Recovery Center, in Prescott. Arrangements by Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Joseph Anton Sale

Joseph Anton Sale, 71, of Chino Valley, born April 28, 1931, died May 20, 2002. Services we at St. Catherine’s Laboure Catholic Church in Chino Valley.

Roy Arthur Junkins

Roy Arthur Junkins, 77, born April 23, 1925, passed away at his home in Chino Valley on May 24, 2002.Services were held at Chino Valley Cemetery on May 29.

James L. Green

James L. Green, 65, born on November 2, 1936, passed away on May 16, 2002. Services were held at First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley.

Billy Leon Kettner

Billy Leon (Butch, aka Bubba) Kettner died on May 25, 2002, at his home in Chino Valley. Butch was a native to the Prescott area.

He proudly served in the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Town of Chino Valley for 14 years.

Bubba is survived by his wife, Carlene; daughter, Misty and her husband Raymon Aguilar; sons, Burton and Robert Kettner of Phoenix; two granddaughters and three grandsons; his sister Bobby and her husband Darryl Hogan of Prescott, sister and brothers-in-law, Sandra Sventek, Ron and Donna Murphy, Paulette and Jim Hargraves and several nieces and nephews, along with many of his dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Henry, mother Ellen Estelle and brother Charlie Kettner.

A memorial service was held on June 2 at the Grace Baptist Church in Chino Valley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be make to the YRMC Hospice.

Marjorie Lane

Marjorie Lane, 89, of Paulden, born July 2, 1912, died Tuesday June 18, 2002. No visitation is scheduled. Memorial services are at 4 p.m. on June 26, at Chino Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 480 W. Palomino Rd., which also did the arrangements.

JoAnn Wells

JoAnn Wells passed away in her Chino Valley home on June 28, 2992, at the age of 77. JoAnn, one of the founders of High Desert Artists, Inc. and very instrumental in the development of artists in Northern Arizona, expressed herself in water color. JoAnn was a true friend, and loved by many.

A loving wife and mother JoAnn is survived by her husband Bill Wells of Chino Valley, son of Richard Wells of Clarkdale, daughter’s Sharon Wells and Margie DeCarlo of Chino Valley. JoAnn has three grandchildren.

A private family service will be hld July 7, followed by an open house memorial at the Wells’ residence, 24 S. Reed Rd., in Chino Valley at 12 p.m.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Patricia May Bennett

Patricia May Bennett, 71, of Chino Valley, born Sept. 14, 1930, died Monday, June 24, 2002 in Chino Valley.

There are no services. Arrangements by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.

Frank Edward Smith

Frank Edward Smith, 71, died on July 10, 2002 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 23, 1931.

The Hampton Funeral Home assisted with the funeral arrangements.

Ronald N. Baier

Ronald N. Baier, 55, died at his home in Paulden on July 12, 2002.

Born on December 20, 1946.

Services were held on Thursday, July 18, at Chino Valley Funeral Chapel .

Daniel “Cody” Barnett

Daniel “Cody” Barnett, 23, died on July 23, 2002 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.

He was born October 28, 1978.

Funeral services were held on July 27, at Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Albert H. Frederickson

Albert H. Frederickson, 96, passed away June 2, 2004 in Chino Valley.

Albert was born on November 1, 1907 in St. Louis Missouri to Martin and Kora Frederickson.

Albert was proud to have served his country in World War II.

He worked in the motion picture industry as the transport driver to RKO studios and later worked for Universal Studios.

After retiring from Universal Studios Albert and his wife moved to Chino Valley in 1978.

Albert is survived by his wife Katherine Frederickson, daughter Christine Adel Lindquist and husband Johnny, grandchildren Robert, Wayne, and Daniel Beauregard, and 4 great
grandchildren.

Albert was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends.

A celebration of life service was held on June 7 at Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Chino Valley Funeral Home cared for the family.

Lenore Strasser

Lenore Strasser, 79, of Chino Valley died on June 2, 2004.

She was born on November 11, 1924 in Chicago, Ill.

Services were private, Arrangements by Arizona Wakelin Family Funeral Home.

Henry Stephen Bellovice

Henry Stephen Bellovice, 86, of Chino Valley died on May 26, 2004.

He was born on January 4, 1918 in Staunton, Illinois.

Service were held on May 30 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Chino Valley.

The family was cared for by Chino Valley Funeral Home.

Henry S. Bellovich

Henry S. Bellovich, 86, of Chino Valley died on May 26, 2004. He was born on January 4, 1918 in Staunton, Illinois.

Services were held on May 30, 2004 at St. Catherine’s Catholic church in Chino Valley.
