Lester Vernon Goyette, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on May 17th, 2003, at the age of 74. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 4th, 1928.

He move out west in the 1960's and to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in 1975. He took over ownershp of J.J.'s Donut Shop, then a few years later he opened Hava-Tour, a local bus company.

After retiring for a short time, his restless and ambitious nature got the better of him and he decided to go back into sales work, a profession that had always been his favorite. He finally retired for good in 1996.

Lester is survived by his wife Norma "Colleen" Goyette to whom he was married for 55 years. He is als survived by four children, Cecil Goyette and wife Darlene of Reno, NV;

Renee Elliott and husband Richard of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Cindy Preimsberg and husband Scott of Bellingham, WA; and Mitchell Goyette and wife Lisa of Gilbert AZ. There are also eight surviving grandchildren, Jeff, Jill and Brian Goyette, Joshua Minucci and Alisha, Andrea, Diana and Katherine Elliott as well as one great grandson, Joshua P. Minucci.

All of his family feels lucky to have had such a strong, moral and loving man as part of their lives. He often expressed the love and pride he had for his family and each one will miss him very much.

A family memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church at 510 N. Acoma Blvd; LHC, AZ; on Wednesday, May 21st, 2003 at 2:00 PM.

Donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Az. 86405.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Jeanette Elizabeth Bisig 76, passed away on May 17th, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on September 23rd, 1926 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Elmer and Ernestine "Giertz" Bisig.

Betty work in retail security for Robinson-May in San Diego, California for 10 years. She was a charter member of St. Michaels United Methodist Church and has been a resident of Arizona for 15 years from San Diego, California.

She enjoyed traveling all over the world.

Betty is survived by her cousins, Bob Horner and his wife Charlotte of Florida, Phyllis Barbour and her husband Wesley of Indiana and Barbara Hutton of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Michaels United Methodist Church, 2895 S. Jamaica Blvd. Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86406.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Our loving mother and grandmother, Anna Bernice (Brewer) Hayes, 94, passed away June 2, 2003 at her daughter’s home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where she has resided for 2 ½ years. Bernice was born in Peoria, Illinois on May 14, 1909 to Edward and Edith Doering. She grew up in Peoria, Illinois and left school after the 9th grade to become a beautician. Bernice married Francis Thrall Brewer, also from Peoria, Illinois on December 29th, 1929.

Her surviving family includes her son, Ronald D. Brewer and his wife, Barbara of Decatur, Illinois; daughter, Sharolyn D. Marr of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Bernice also leaves behind six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She moved to Ft. Myers, Florida after her marriage to Austin Hayes. Ft. Myers was her home for more than 35 years. She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Ft. Myers, where she taught Sunday School and was active in other church activities.

Bernice had a foster child in India and among her many talents, she was an amateur photographer. She won trophies and ribbons on some of her slides. She also did many crafts, which her family has to remember her by.

Bernice will be laid to rest in Peoria, Illinois next to her parents. There will be a memorial service at a later date in Illinois.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Church of Christ Scientist, 2390 W. First St., Fort Myers, Florida 33901 or Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405 or a hospice organization closest to you.

Lessie "Fessor" Dunham, 65, passed away May 30, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on July 17, 1937 in Aspermont (Stonewall County), Texas.

Mr. Dunaham made Lake Havasu his home 31 years ago, moving here from West Covina, California. He was a welder for 45 years, 29 of those years were working for the McCulloch Corporation in Lake Havasu doing mig welding.

Fessor had a passion for the outdoors including fishing, hunting and camping. When he couldn't go to Laughlin, he loved playing with his hand-held poker game. Even though he never served in the military, he was a very patriotic individual and was proud to display the American Flag at home in Havasu Heights.

Lessie is survived by his loving family, daughter, Mindi Dunham of Lake Havasu; step-daughters, Staci Hanaway of Lansing, Tennessee, Brandi Sue Bryson & Sonya Walker, both of Phoenix, Arizona; five brothers, James "Doc" Alvin Dunham Jr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, Glen "Todd" Dunham of Old Glory, Texas, Herman Dunham of Jayton, Texas, Jerry "Huck" Dunham of Gilbert, Arizona and Art Dunham of Lake Havasu; two sisters, Ona Faye Messenger of West Covina, California, Billie Sue Taylor of Allen, Texas and nine step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 6, 2:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Pastor Lan Blair officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Alice Mae Housouer 40, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003, at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Ray Squires of Allied Marine Service; her mother Alva Housouer, and five brothers, Tom, Bill, Eddie, Jerry and Rick, and one sister Linda. Alice was born in Aptos, Calif., and moved to Lake Havasu City 22 years ago. Her family said she was a truly a good person and loved deeply by all of her family and her dear friends here in Havasu.

Memorial services are pending and donations may be made to the Amverican Cancer Society.

Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home made arrangements.

Willard Dave Reynolds, 89, passed away May 28, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Howard & Jane Perkins on November 3, 1913 in Provo, Utah.

Willard made Lake Havasu his home 11 years ago, moving here from Anchorage, Alaska where he owned a resort lodge for many years.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his brother, Ben Perkins and his wife Mary of Long Beach, California and two nieces, Patti Avad and her husband Manuel of San Francisco, California and Carol Perkins of Long Beach, California.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 9:00 am at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Chaplain Katherine Kenney will officiate and the Elks Lodge #2399 will hold a Elks Lodge of Sorrow. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Joyce Irene Houck, 68, passed away May 30, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Ralph & Frances (Boomer) Johnson on October 5, 1934 in Carlton, Oregon.

Joyce was currently a resident of Big River, California. For many years, she was a resident of Sheridan, Oregon where she shared her life with Arnold Houck whom is no longer with us.

Joyce managed a nightclub in Eugene, Oregon by the name of Embers Supper Club for 30 years. She was the treasurer/secretary for the Bonnie Baker Senior Center of Big River.

Joyce is survived by her loving family, daughter, Lori Murray-Bridges of Pahoa, Hawaii; mother, Frances I. Johnson of McMinnville, Oregon; brother, Donald E. Johnson of Kalispell, Montana; four grandchildren, Melissa, Jack, Amber and William. She also leaves behind six great grandchildren.

The family request that donations go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
