Frances Clara Lovich, 87, passed away February 23, 2004 in Lincoln, CA. She was born to Joseph and Clara (Jurewicz) Cichocki on February 17, 1917 in Chicago, IL.

Frances moved to Lake Havasu 10 years ago from Crown Point, IN. She was a Nurse’s Aide at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Gary, IN for 2 years. She was a member of the Daughter of Isabella Bishop Noel Circle N0359 and Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.

Frances is survived by her loving family, son, Jerold Lovich and his wife Donna of Lake Havasu; daughter, Francine Kanclier and her husband Jim of Lincoln, CA; sister, Isabell Rossa and her husband Lawrence of Portage, IN; brother-in-law, Michael T. Lovich and his wife Faye of Griffith, IN; sister-in-law, Sophie Cichocki of Crown Point, IN; six grandchildren, Kathleen Sidway and her husband Jon, Mark Lovich, Michael Lovich and his wife Edna, Karen Karwath and her husband Bart, Susan Kanclier, John Kanclier and his wife Susie. She will also be missed by her six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in by her beloved husband of 63 years, Nickolas Lovich, whom she married April 20, 1940.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Friday, February 27, 10:00 AM with Father Michael Deptula officiating. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Building Fund, 1975 Daytona Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.

Donald Francis Gouthro at the age of 75, passed away on Valentines Day, February 14, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ; to be with his loving sweetheart Jenny. He was born on January 16, 1929 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada to Joseph and Kathryn Gouthro. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Donald married Jenny E. Kennedy his ) August 24, 1950 and together raised 10 children, 5 boys and 5 s. They were married for 53 happy years.

Donald eventually moved his family from Canada in 1967 to the United States which was one of his goals and dreams. He moved to Milwaukee, WI; then onto California. Following his retirement in 1990, he moved to Lake Havasu City to enjoy his days with his loving wife and family.

He was preceded in by his loving wife Jenny Gouthro in June of 2003. Donald is survived by his loving family of 10 children; Donnie of Norco, CA; Vince of Chicago, ILL; Heather Meek of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Rick of East Lansing, MI; Joe of Milwaukee, WI; Kathy Cadotte of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Scott of Greenfield, WI; Jonie of Murrieta, CA; Carolyn of Greenfield, WI; Tammy of Rancho Cordova, CA; Lori Barnyak of Murrieta, CA; and brother Vincent and two sisters Helen and Kitty in Canada.
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Robby, Denise, Corey, Nicole, Justin, Jerri, Brandon, Jayme, Donny, Dougie, Jennifer, Dominic, Mickey, Jennifer, Shaun, and Katlyn; 8 great grandchildren, Casey, Dillon, Gregory, Tatum, Quinton, Kiley, Brady and Brandon Jr.

Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, February 27, from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, February 28, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM. with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405. The family thanks Hospice of Havasu for all the wonderful help in its time of need.

James Robert Lundin, 62, passed away on February 2l, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on April 8, 1941 in Salt Lake City, UT.

James moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 6 years ago from Alta Loma, CA. He worked as a telephone technician for GTE of California in Pomona, CA; for 30 years. James was a member of the Eagles Aerie #4299. He was also an avid fisherman and began coming to Lake Havasu City to water ski and fish.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Deanna Lundin of Lake Havasu City, AZ; brother Steven John Lundin of Ridgecrest, CA; sisters June Ann Goodman of Soldatna, Alaska and Patricia Jean Bergreen of Upland, CA.

A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 5:00 pm with Chaplain Katherine Kinney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405

Frieda Anna Sommer, 88, passed away February 22, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Frank and Elizabeth (Schloffer) Sommer on June 16, 1915 in St. Louis, MO.

Frieda has been a Lake Havasu resident for 14 years, moving here from St. Louis, MO where she was a machine operator for the International Hat Company for many years. She loved playing Bingo.

Frieda was the loving aunt of Jeanette Bornefeld of Lake Havasu; Frank Sommer and his wife Connie of Littleton, CO; Frank Reinholz and his wife Gail of St. Louis, MO; Patricia Mowery and her husband Ron of Affton, MO.

She was preceded in by her brother, Frank Sommer; sister, Emma Reinholz and brother-in-law, Frank Reinholz.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to go to Our Lady of the Lake Church Building Fund, 1975 Daytona Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 or St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will be holding memorial services in St. Louis at a later date.

Mary Lou Jotblad, 74, passed away February 19, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born in Webster, Wisconsin on November 14, 1929, she moved to Torrance, California in 1962 where she raised her family and has been a resident of Lake Havasu City, Arizona for the past 24 years.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her courageous life having battled the affects of polio, contracted at the age of eighteen, followed by multiple sclerosis, diagnosed in her thirties. In spite of the disabling outcome of these diseases, her biggest complaint throughout this time was the 110°+ heat. Recently referred to as “My Hero”, she was truly amazed at having earned such a title.

Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Clayton; her children, Gary of Laguna Niguel, California, Sue of Boulder, Colorado, Barb Ralphs of Huntington Beach, California, David of Lake Havasu and their families including ten grandchildren: Karrie, Heather, Sharon, Melissa, Allison, Jackie, Trevor, Courtney, Eric, Chris and one great-grandchild, Ethan; her brothers Bob, Harold and Marvin Peterson and sister, Bess Arneson.

Her enduring positive attitude and love of those whose lives she touched will remain with all who knew her. The Jotblad family wishes to thank the home health care professionals and staff for their loving care of Mary Lou.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Larry Lee Gill, 66, passed away February 17, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Harold and Vera (Bamfield) Gill on February 6, 1938 in Cambridge, OH.

Mr. Gill made Lake Havasu his home 25 years ago, moving here from Captiva Island, FL. He was a manager in the construction trade for many years.

Larry is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 43 years, Wanda Lee Gill; mother, Vera Mae Gill of Reynoldsburg, OH; son, Lawrence Lee Gill Jr. of San Diego, CA; nieces, Susan Parker, her husband Willie and their children, Scott, John, Trish, Kelly and Craig of Phoenix, AZ; Bridget Bamfield and her daughters, Kristen and Kenora of Cambridge, OH; brother, Edward Gill of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Janice Lenhart of Reynoldsburg, OH and two grandchildren, Lee and Terry Gill of San Diego, CA.

He was preceded in by his father, Harold M. Gill and his sister, Dolores Knight.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.

Larry was a very loving family man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
