Martha Paoli, 89, passed away peacefully at Lake Hills In on May 4, 2004. She was born in Chicago, IL March 3, 1915.

Her and her family moved to Montebello, CA where she was employed by the State of California. After retirement she and her husband moved to Thousand Palms, CA. In 1998 they moved to Lake Havasu City to be closer to family. Martha enjoyed Laughlin and the slots, and so did her husband, Tony who passed away in 2002.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Mary Gilmartin and her husband Richard; granddaughter, Debra Gilmartin; grandson, Ron Gilmartin and his wife Marlene; great granddaughter Amber; sister-in-laws, Helene Paoli of Thousand Palms, CA, Monique Balsano of Simi Valley, CA and Lisa Balsano of Santa Cruz, CA.

Martha will be in our hearts forever.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.

Kenneth Walter Kunow, 75, passed away May 4, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to William and Leona (DeFauw) Kunow on October 5, 1928 in Detroit, MI.

Ken and Elizabeth moved man, AZ 16 years ago from Upland, CA. He made his residence in Lake Havasu two years later.

Ken was a proud veteran in the US Army from 1947 to 1952. He was Master Sergeant, Chief of Firing Battery, Ranking NCO, in charge of a battery of 105mm howitzers. Ken was responsible for the training and discipline of 60 men.

From 1952 to 1957, Ken was a truck driver for Rosen Meat Packing in Southern California. He worked as a production foreman for Unitek Corp. in Monrovia, CA from 1957 to 1964 where he trained and supervised 35 personnel. A department consisting of a machine shop, wire forming and metal operations. Ken was a tool and die room foreman for Ormco Corp. in Glendora, CA from 1964 to 1985 supervising an eleven man department, giving support for a production force of over 300 workers. During the period, 1980 thru 1985, he installed various production equipment and trained a maintenance crew in Merida, Mexico. In 1985 Ken was finally able to retire, however not being able to sit still, he obtained a certificate in jewelry making, silver smithing, channeling and lapidary, as well as being a part time instructor.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Elizabeth “Libby” Kunow; son, Kim Kunow of Louisiana; stepson, Danne Lashbrook of Louisiana; stepdaughters, Gayle Graybill of Louisiana, Debra Engle of West Covina, CA; two grandchildren, Anna Sofia Kunow and Megan Hobson.

Ken loved the desert and making Southwest jewelry. He was loved very much and will be missed by his family and friends.

Metamorfi G. Haita, 89, passed away May 3, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to George and Maria (Amanratides) Andriado on May 18, 1914 in Ordu, Turkey.

Meta, as she was known to her family and friends, moved to Arizona 42 years ago from Athens, Greece. She has been a resident of Lake Havasu for the past 31 years.

Meta is survived by her loving family, son, Euclid Black of Henderson, NV; daughter, Hariklia “Ricky” Kapes of Santa Monica, CA and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, George whom passed away November 5, 1981.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004, 3:00 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn in Phoenix, AZ. Rev. William Smith will officiate.

Clifford Marvin Ryan, 61, passed away May 3, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on September 1, 1942 in Salix, IA.

Mr. Ryan moved to Lake Havasu 9 months ago from Whittier, CA where he was the lead custodian for the East Whittier City School District for 14 years.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 41 years, Virginia; sons, Steven B. Ryan of San Bernardino, CA, Kevin L. Ryan of St. Joseph, MO, Jeffery A. Ryan of Romoland, CA; 2 brothers, Wayne and Fred Ryan; 7 grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Ashley, Dustin, Jacob, Tanner and Stormi.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 7 from 6 to 8:30 PM at Skyrose Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 8, 9:00 AM, also to be held at Skyrose Chapel.

David LeRoy Clark

On May 1st, 2004, David LeRoy Clark went to join his identical mirror twin brother, Mark, who passed last September. He was born in Davenport, Iowa on February 21st, 1953 to Kenneth and Betty Clark.

David was a long time resident of Lake Havasu City since 1973. He was a professional musician all of his life, and his passion for music was astounding. David touched many hearts with his music, love, affection and laughter. David will be desperately missed by his family and friends alike.

Davis is survived by his wife, Saundra Davis Clark; mother, Betty L. and Walter E. Whitener of Lake Havasu City and South Carolina; his wonderful son, Hunter L. Clark of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Misty A. Clark of Davenport, IA; granddaughter, Nevaeh Clark of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Matthew L. and Julie Clark of Lake Havasu City; sisters, Diane L. and Paul Kaufmann of Lake Havasu City, Nancy L. and Ed Glomboske of Lake Havasu City; Mark’s widow, Dianne M. Clark of Lake Havasu City; stepsister, Linda Whitener of Charlotte, NC and many nieces and nephews of Lake Havasu City and Las Vegas.

David was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; twin brother, Mark and brother, Kent.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Stonebridge Christian Fellowship at 2700 Jamaica Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.

A celebration of life will be at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship Church on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 7:00 PM. Pastor Richard Tatham will officiate.

James Angus Boyd, 75, passed away on April 30, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on March 17, 1929 in Somerville, Mass.

Jim moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 17 years ago from Glendora, CA. He worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 46 years and also worked for our postal service in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Jim was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and also on the school board of Calvary Baptist School. He enjoyed volunteering at his church and was very active in church activities. He helped in construction of the new church building and classrooms. Jim was a volunteer caller for bingo at Lake Hills Inn. He enjoyed family gatherings and B.B.Q’s. Jim was a member of the Elks Lodge Post #2399, American Legion Post #81, Sheriff’s Volunteer Boating Officer for State of Arizona and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #9401. He would meet for early morning coffee with a group of friends at Wal-mart, six days a week. The two most important things in Jim’s life were his family and church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Sharon Boyd of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Jolene Zirbes and husband Bob of Diamond Bar, CA; mother Julia E. Wasson Rickard of Sanford, NC; step-daughters, Sheryl Tye and husband Garry of West Covina, CA; Sandra Allen and husband Glen of Victorville, CA; Mary LeBren of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Tamara Muench of Santa Ana, CA; Sherry Paddock and husband Rodney of Lake Havasu City, AZ; brother Jack Boyd of Maine, sister Catherine Roger and husband Maurice of Sanford, NC; grandchildren Joanna, Christopher, Eric, Danny, Angela, Misty, Joshua, Christy, Chaz, Jim, Leah and great granddaughter Grace.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chad Garrison officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Jim’s name to Calvary Baptist Academy, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd., 86406 or Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Az. 86405
