Deloy "Joe" Merrill Brown passed away in Denver, CO; on March 27th, 2003 at age 74. He was born in Riverton, UT; on February 18th, 1929,the son of Merrill and Ellen Brown.

He was married to Barbara Everet Tea. Joe is survived by his children Robyn of Boise, ID; Keith and Kimley of Denver, CO; Bruce of Fallon, NV; Chris of Moab, UT; 12 grandchildren, one of which was special to him, Kelly of Boise, ID; l great granddaughter, 1 sister, Marlene (Bob) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 2 brothers Roger of Murray, UT; and Jim (Valerie) of Kerns, UT; Special companion Bonnie Ortez who cared for him thru his illness, our special thanks. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, sister Mary Winborg and brother Howard.

There will be no services as per his wishes. Rest in Peace.


Frances Louise Brown, 77, passed away on April 20th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center. She was born December 26th, 1925 in Peoria, Ill.

Frances moved to Lake Havasu City, Az. 13 years ago from Azusa, California. She was a member of the Western Welcome Club in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years William J. Brown of Lake Havasu City, Az; cousins Patricia Peccolo of West Covina, CA., and William Clark of Henderson, NV.

A visiation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2003 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a scripture service to follow at 11:0 AM. Burial will take place at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made in her name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, Az. 86404

Marian Ridley Kelly died Thursday, March 20th, 2003. She was born September 26th, 1928 in Washington D.C., the daughter of Charles Y. and Pearl Ridley.

She grew up in Baltimore and attended the University of Michigan, where she met her future husband. She was a civilian secretary for the U.S. Army of occupation in Yokohama, Japan and returned to marry. She settled with her husband in Long Beach, CA; where they lived for 30 years and they had two children. She went to Australia with her husband to live in the Outback for five years and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 15 years ago. They traveled around the world together three times.

Marian was an accomplished competitor in Duplicate Bridge and became a Life Master in 1979. She loved to prepare gourmet meals and enjoyed gardening and her cat, Genghis. It gave her great joy to have both of her children living in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

She is survived by Frank Kelly, husband of 52 years, daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Edward Earley, and son and daughter-in-law Matt and Cathy Kelly, grandson Scott Kelly, and granddaughter Beth Strosnider, all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and grandson Michael Strosnider of Kansas.

There will be a private Celebration of Life for the family.

Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.


Delsie Mae Gresham, 91, passed away May 8, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Jacob & Mary (Beaver) Quigley on May 30, 1911 in Charleston, West Virginia.

Delsie moved to Lake Havasu 10 years ago from Placentia, Calif. She worked as a seamstress for Mary's Draperies in Santa Ana, Calif. for 15 years. She was also a member for the First Christian Church in California.

Delsie leaves behind her loving family, two sons, O.J. "Nick" Wolfe Jr. of Lake Havasu and James E. Wolfe of Oakhurst, Calif.; two daughters, Rebecca D. Smith and Mary Frances Benson, both of Lake Havasu; brothers, Robert Quigley of Charleston, West Virginia and Merrill Quigley of Nevada; sister, Julia Ann Stutler of Charleston, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Becky Quigley; brother-in-law, Lawrence Gresham; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, O.J. Wolfe Sr.; second husband, Clifford D. Gresham, her parents, Jacob & Mary Quigley; 2 sisters and 6 brothers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 17 at 1:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating.

The family has asked that donations go to the Yacht Club in Lake Havasu City.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.


Leah Michelle Branson, 29, passed away March 30, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born in Pomona, California on July 15, 1973.

Leah has been a resident of Lake Havasu for one year, moving here from Hesperia, California. For the past month she worked as a clerk for Alberton's Grocery Store here in Lake Havasu. She was a member of New Life Chapel in Hesperia.

Leah is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Tim Branson; two children, Dylan James Branson and Tiffany Ann Branson, both of Lake Havasu; parents, Steven Michael Potts of Hesperia, California and Cathy Ann Thomason of San Bernardino, California; brothers, Justin Michael Thomason and Ryan J.L. Thomason both of San Bernardino and Shaun Michael Potts of Hesperia. Also surviving her are her two grandmothers, Mary Ann Potts and Ruby Lee Hildebrand.

Funeral services will be at Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona, California with the interment to be held at Pomona Valley Memorial Park at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.


Lela Opal Christensen, 88, passed away at home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born April 20, 1914 in Leroy, Illinois.

Lela is survived by four children, Ramona Cleveland of Lake Havasu and Newport, Washington, Audrey Walters of Edmonds, Washington, La Donna Jagosh of Lake Havasu and Wenatchee, Washington and Richard Morgan of Lake Havasu; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and three sisters.

Services will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.


Volney Jerald Seaver, 64, passed away April 4, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born to Volney & Adele (Weiner) Seaver on June 18, 1938 in Urbana, Ohio.

Volney moved to Lake Havasu 9 months ago from Florida and he was also a former resident of Ohio. He worked 16 years for the 5th Avenue Barber Shop in Rowland Heights, California. He will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him. He was known to his granddaughters, whom he loved dearly, as "Papaw".

He is survived by his daughter Madeleine Compton and her husband Daniel of Lake Havasu and three granddaughters, Sarah, Lindsay & Allison Compton.

The family ask that donations go to the Muscular Dystophy Association, PO Box 78342, Phoenix, Arizona 85062-8342.
