Claire Ruth Fox, 84, passed away on November 1st, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Az. She was born on November 12th, 1918 in San Francisco, Ca.

She moved to Lake Havasu City, Az; 5 years ago from Lakewood, CA. She worked as a teacher for Compton Unified School Dist. in Compton, CA; for 27 years.

Claire is survived by her daughters Frances Lyn Fox, Margaret Powers both of Lake Havasu City, Az; Nancy Rivera of Temecula, CA; and brother James Harvey of South Africa.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Ann Spangler, passed away on November 1, 2003. She was born Anna Gloria Nelson on December 4, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Andrew and Margaret Nelson.

Ann and her husband Jim moved to Lake Havasu City from Southern California in 1970. They both loved living in Lake Havasu City. She worked for the Telephone company (Bell Telephone & General Telephone) for many years before moving to Havasu. Her first job here was with Citizens Utilities. Over the years, she has worked for several businesses in town, some still in existence and some long gone. She attended many classes at MCC through the years.

Ann had a zest for life and was always ready to participate in any celebration. She loved the water. She was an avid water-skier until she could no longer ski, and was a certified scuba diver. She enjoyed fishing, boating and bowling. Ann was a volunteer tax preparer for AARP for a couple of years and would try most anything at least once.

If you were a friend of Ann’s, you had a friend for life. She was a member in good standing of the Lake Havasu Yacht Club, Lake Havasu Senior Center, Ladies Auxillary of the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge and American Legion. She was also a member of the Birjie's of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and also a long time member of the congregation at Mount Olive.

Ann was preceded in by her loving husband, James Spangler and her parents.

Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Doug Main of Lake Havasu City; long time companion Robert Parker of Lake Havasu City; sisters, Marie Johnson of North Hills, CA and Ruth Shuey of Chico, CA; brothers, Richard Nelson of Skuim, WA and George Nelson of Harlingen, TX; granddaughter, Tammie Hacher of Sparta, TN; grandson, Douglas Main of Lake Havasu City; great granddaughter, Krystal, as well as step granddaughters, Rebecca and Robin Main of Lake Havasu and Rachel Main of Camarillo, CA, which were also a big part of her life.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 3:30 PM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.

Hortense Aileen Witt, 93, passed away on October 3lst, 2003 at her residence in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on April 28th, 1910 in Springhill, KS to Jay D and Dot (Hines) Young. At an early age Hortense learned the violin and became a virtuoso violinist.

Hortense moved to Lake Havasu City, Az 3 years ago from Washington State. She was a court reporter in Kansas City before moving to Washington State where she worked as a legal secretary for Dano, Cone & Frazier Law Offices in Ellensburg, WA for 40 years. She was a member of the Springhill, KS United odist Church and a lifetime member of the Coast Guard Auxillary. Hortense was also an avid boater for almost 50 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 1/2 years, Charles E. Witt of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sister Natalie Grinstead of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and niece Melanie Grinstead-Hanak of Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Private funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Bernice Jones, 95, passed away on October 20th, 2003 at Havasu Nursing Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on July 5th, 1908 in Chesaning, MI.

Bernice moved to Lake Havasu City, Az; 7 years ago from Bellevue, MI. She loved spending time with her family and also loved to travel.

She is survived by her son Albert Jones of Bellevue, MI; daughter Madelyn Jones of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in by her son George Paul Jones.

Funeral services were held in Michigan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Annabelle Dwyer (Patry) (b. May 15, 1913) died on Saturday, October 25, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Loving wife of the late Joseph M. Dwyer. Loving mother of Jo Anne (Bill) Lewis, Pat Scannell, Kevin (Susan) Dwyer, and the late Michael Dwyer. Precious grandmother of Jeff (Lorraine) Lewis and Jim Lewis, Sarah, Brandon and Sean Dwyer and Kati (Adam) Goffstein and the late Julie Scannell. Dear sister of Tipton Patry, Trula Strickland, Christopher Patry, and the late Marie Rudder, Dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many. The Stygar Family of Funeral Service is caring for Annabelle’s Family at Stygar Drehmann-Harral Chapel 7733 Natural Bridge Rd., St. Louis, MO; where service will be conducted Friday, October 3l, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Memorial contributions may be made to the Pastoral Care of Cardinal Glennon Hospital for Children Bibles in memory of Annabelle’s granddaughter, Julie Scannell. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2003 from 3 to 9 PM.

A memorial service will be held in Lake Havasu City, AZ; at a later date.

Miguel Pelayo-Suarez passed away October 13, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miguel is survived by his parents, Miguel Pelayo and Rosa Suarez.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2:00 to 3:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at 4:00 PM. Father Rafael Partida will officiate.

Van Arden Naillon, 83, passed away on October 22nd, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on May 18th, 1920 in Tucson, Arizona.

Van moved to Arizona 17 years ago from Colton, Ca. He moved from Parker, AZ; to Lake Havasu City, Az; 3 years ago. Van worked as a conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad in Colton, CA; for 45 years. He proudly served in the U.S.Army WWII and was also a member of the V.F.W. Post #7061 of Parker, AZ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lou Ann Naillon of Lake Havasu City, Az; sons Roger Van Naillon of Colton, CA; Arden J. Naillon of Napa, ID; daughters Lynda Brusven of St. Louis Park, MN; Ann Forschler of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Susan Contreras of Colton, CA; Jean Tiffany and Judy Stacy both of Eureka, MT; sisters Faunda Danielson of Salt Lake City, UT; Frieda Jacobson of St. George, UT; Pauline Johnson of Eugene, OR; Belva Naillon of Sandy, UT; and 2l grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in by his father Joseph R. Naillon, mother Emma L. Naillon, sister Verona Naillon, brother Robert Naillon and great grandson Blake S. Stock.

Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Sunday, October 26th, 2003 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Dau Saints in Lake Havasu City, Az on Monday, October 27th, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Howard Forschler officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #7061 of Parker, Az.

Eugene Gilbert Wooten, 78, passed away March 11, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on May 20, 1925 at Forrest Grove, OR to parents Lawrence and Myrtle Wooton.

On August 27, 1946 he married Ruth Ida Jones who went to meet her Lord December 4, 1988. After high school, at age 18, he went to live with Joe McBurney in Gaston, OR to help work the farm. He operated a caterpillar to plow the fields. Gene supervised a crew of Latinos for growing and harvesting onions during World War II. He found his skills in operating heavy equipment a plus when he went to work for the Oregon Forest Service. He worked in the Tillamook burn for the forest service then went into logging which led him to move to Alsea, OR in 1953. He bought a 29 acre farm with property on both sides of the Alsea River and there he raised his three boys Kenneth, Larry and Randall. He kept about a dozen cows, a horse and often had chickens, ducks, pigs, goats or sheep. The boys had dogs, cats and pigeons. They raised hay for the cattle, commercial lingon berries and had large gardens and about twenty fruit trees of all varieties. He served on the school board in Alsea for many years. He helped pioneer an Assembly of God Church just across the highway from his farm with Helen & Bill Phillips. He pastored the Alsea Assembly of God from 1966 to 1969. He continued logging, farming and pastoring until 1969, owning his own logging company the last few years of that time. He was known as an excellent road builder and caterpillar operator.

Eugene moved to Ester, AK in 1969 and began to build a small church building. To provide income while pastoring the church he got a job with Wein Airline where he worked until 1978 and when Wein Airline sold he went to work putting a house on a foundation and then remodeling that house for one of the former Wein executives. He pastored the church in Ester, AK until moving to Anchorage in 1981 and taking the pastorate of Sunset Hills Assembly of God. Under his leadership the name was changed to South Anchorage Assembly of God and he pastored there until July 1991 when he retired and married N.Jeanne Gaynor who has been his faithful companion and closest friend from that day until now. They have resided in Anchorage, AK and Lake Havasu City, AZ since their marriage and have traveled to many places around the world. Their extended families have blended together in exemplary fashion and have also become good friends.

Eugene is survived by his wife, N. Jeanne(Gaynor) Wooten; her children, Janice Coulter of Anchorage, AK and her husband Robert, Kay Fonte of Canton, OH and her husband Ray and Rand Gaynor of Wasilla, AK and his wife Gayle; her grandchildren, Jeffery Coulter and Starlee Coulter both of Anchorage, AK, Matthew Fonte of Canton, OH and A.J. Fonte of Lake Havasu City, AZ; his sons, Kenneth E. Wooten of Fairbanks, AK and his wife Donna, Larry E. Wooten of Wenatchee, WA and his wife Dawn and Randall L. Wooten of Anchorage, AK and his wife Barbara; his grandchildren, Tamra Smith of Spanaway, WA and her husband Justin, Teri Patterson of Wenatchee, WA and her husband Shawn, Aaron Wooten of Pasco, WA and his wife Kimberly, David Wooten of Puyallup, WA, Jonathan Wooten of Las Vegas, NV and his wife Desiree, Isaac Wooten of Bellevue, WA, Ruth Wooten of Anchorage, AK and Shawn Wooten also of Anchorage, AK; his great grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Madison Smith both of Spanaway, WA, Denali Patterson, Daejah Patterson and Drew Patterson all of Wenatchee, WA, Reiley Wooten and Aaron Wooten both of Pasco, WA, Jonathan Wooten and Juliana Wooten both of Las Vegas, NV; brothers Alvin Wooton of Silver City, NM and Leonard Wooten of Kingsgate, B.C.

A memorial services will be held Monday, March 15, 6:00 PM at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship with Pastor Richard Tatham officiating

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his name to Stonebridge Christian Fellowship, 2700 Jamaica Blvd.,LHC; Az. 86406 or Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, LHC; Az. 86405
