Richard H. Mayer, 62 years, born in Milwaukee, WI on November 21, 1941, passed away January 17, 2004 of cancer.

Richard lived in Milwaukee, WI as a truck driver for 30 years, then retired and moved to Lake Havasu in 1992. He belonged to the Aerie 4299 Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Teamsters Union and was a lifetime member of North American Hunting Association.

Richard is survived by his son, Bryan Mayer and his wife Beth; daughter Christina Mayer; granddaughters, Kymberlee and Allyson of Cadott, WI; sister, Barbara Berlin of Ashland City, TN; aunt, Lucille Svoma of Phoenix; nieces, Yvonne Kaminski of Lake Havasu and Laurie Svoma of Phoenix; nephews, Kenny and Nickolas Kaminski of Lake Havasu, Rodney Svoma of Phoenix and Ronald Svoma of Las Vegas and his beloved ex-wife, Carol Mayer of Janesville, WI.

He was preceded in by his mother, Angie Fritzsinger and father, Herman Mayer.

Richard could always make people laugh and was the one with all the jokes. He will be sorely missed by everyone.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 10:00 AM at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens

Richard Flournoy

October 19, 1931 to January 15, 2004

"Skip" Flournoy, 72, of Lake Havasu City passed away on January 15, 2004. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 19, 1931.

Skip was given an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force and retired from Nevada Bell as a lineman. His hobbies included volunteering for Aerouision Balloons Inc., guiding vessels to their landing. He was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and hunting and trained birddogs for pleasure. He will be missed by his dear friends.

A memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Nancy's Ice House.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.


Dorothy J. Mahler, 60, went home on Wednesday, November 13, 2003.

She was a loving, caring woman who put her family and friends first. She will be missed by us all. We are comforted in the knowledge that she has gone home to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.

Dorothy was born August 11, 1943 in North Platte, Nebraska and moved to Lake Havasu City from DeMotte, Indiana in June of 1994 with her husband Garritt to enjoy their years of retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her son, Gideon Mahler of Woodland, CA; daughters, Cindy Kramer and her husband Lee of Bennett, CO, Jeanette Hoffman of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Chris and her husband Tom Wallin of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; grandchildren, Morgan Kramer, Amanda Hoffman, Zach Kramer, Kelli Wallin, Sara Hoffman, Stacey Kramer, Ashley Wallin, Austin Wallin and three great grandchildren.

Her children wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to her extended family at the Calvary Baptist Church for the love and support they’ve shown her during her stay in Lake Havasu City and request that donations be made in her name to the Arthritis Foundation, Greater Southwest Chapter, 1313 E. Memorial services will be held November 21st at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Genevieve G. Neubauer, 85, passed away on January 15, 2004 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Az. She was born on March 20, 1918 in Chicago, IL.

Genevieve moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 12 years ago from Eureka, CA. She loved cooking and belonged to the cooking club at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship Church in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Genevieve also loved taking the bus to Laughlin and meeting lots of new friends.

She is survived by her sons Fred Neubauer of Trabuco Canyon, CA; Chuck Neubauer of Fresno, CA; grandchildren Rusty, Kenneth, Jeff, Jason and great grandchildren Brett, Brianna and Corey and long time friend Bunny. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, CA.

Frances Olive Darlington, 87, passed away on January 11, 2004 at her daughters residence in Lake Havasu City, Az. She was born on October 28, 1916 in Chicago, IL.

Frances moved to Lake Havasu City, Az; 25 years ago from Griffith, IN. She was a member of St. Michael’s United odist Church, Havasu Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxilary for 23 years, a member of the Kiwaniannes and was the community Drive coordinator for 12 ˝ years.

She is survived by her loving daughter Ardis Phelps of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandchildren Shari Jazyk of Columbus, OH; Dana Phelps of Mohave Valley; Dawn Phelps of Chandler, AZ; Kristyn Phelps of Portland, ME, great granddaughter Jessica Underwood of Columbus, OH; and 3 nieces. She was preceded in by her husband Melvin Charles Darlington in 1991 and by her daughter Letitia Jazyk.

A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 6:00 PM with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her name to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 5006, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5006

Diane Rebecca Wisniewski, 53, died quietly Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in her home after a long bout with cancer.

Diane was born in Raleigh, North Carolina March 1, 1950, oldest of four children. She was preceded in by her father, Joseph M. Lovett and her mother Colleen R. Eacutt.

As a child she grew up in North Carolina until her family moved to Southern California in 1962, where she spent the rest of her youth and much of her life. She moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 1996, and then moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona in 2000. Diane was a homemaker and enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with family and friends; she loved her dog Bear and also loved horses.

She is survived by her husband of seventeen years Richard; only son, Joseph Recklaw; brothers, Dennis Lovett of Idaho, Joseph Lovett of Colorado; sister, Sharon Tanaka of California; nieces, Christina, Amy and Amanda; nephews, Dean, Jacob and Chase; father-in-law, Bill Wisniewski; sister-in-law, Mindy and two grandchildren. She is also survived by many other family members and friends that one could only call very, very close.

Diane was cremated Tuesday, January 6, 2004. A memorial service will be held January 16, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, Lake Havasu. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
