Maxine Jacqueline Craven
92, of Albany, died May 17, 2011.
Maxine was born in Wichita, Kan. on April 10, 1919, to Earl and Fonnie Lillian Osborne Hopkins.
The family moved to Anaheim,  Calif., in 1921. Earl was a barber there for the rest of his life.

Robert E. Hoover
82, passed away in the evening of May 16, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joy; daughter Julie and her husband, Mike Chatham; son Tom and his wife, Karinda; and four grandchildren, Andy, Matt, Katie Joy, and Sara.
He was welcomed to heaven by his grandson David Chatham.

Patrick Scott Conroy
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 14, 2011. Pat was the oldest of 3 children born to Don and Betty Conroy on Jan, 19, 1951. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Pat served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Midway. Shortly after his discharge he moved to Big Bear where he met his beautiful wife, Cyndi, and they had 2 wonderful children together, Megan and Evan. Pat enjoyed a wonderful life with his family and friends. Pat was active in his community, belonging to the Moose Lodge and helping out Little League softball and various other community activities. Pat was preceded in death by his father Don and his son Evan. He is survived by his wife, Cyndi, daughter Megan, his mother Betty, his sister Nancy, his brother Michael, his in-laws Bill and Doe Saderup and his brothers-in-law, Michael, David, Billy, Bobby and their families.

Shirley Ann Radulski
Homemaker, 75
Shirley Ann Radulski, born June 4, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., died at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 9, 2004, in Sky Harbor Care Center in Yucca Valley.
The fourth child of Edward Lincoln Wright and Clara Isabelle Davis, she moved to Yucca Valley in July 1984, where she resided with her twin brother, Edward Anthony Wright, and his second wife, Elizabeth Ann. Mr. Wright died Jan. 22, 2002.
Mrs. Radulski loved the heat of the desert and never missed the cold winters of Michigan. She spent many hours sitting outside enjoying the warmth of the sun. She enjoyed playing poker and bowling. She loved chocolate and, like her brother, enjoyed meat, potatoes, gravy and corn.
She is survived by nieces Joan Ann Wright, Margot Jean Wright and Edith Louise Murray; nephew Edward Anthony Wright; older sister Frances Eleanor Parker of Warren, Mich.; daughter Judith; sons Robert and Philip; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers Edward, Donald, James and Robert and son Michael Frances, who died July 25, 1968.
Cremation will be under the direction of Rose Mortuary. She will be interred at the Twentynine Palms Cemetery.

Joseph Alfred Cosenza
Owner, Hamiton Trucking, 89
Joseph Alfred Cosenza, a native of New York, a 28-year resident of Mt. Pacono, Penn., and a two-year resident of California, died Jan. 22, 2004, in Yucca Valley. He was 89 years old.
He was born Aug. 1, 1914, to George Cosenza and Rosa Castilgia-Cosenza, and was married to Zita (Ramsner) Cosenza for 58 years.
His wife preceded him in death.
He was a sergeant in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Cosenza was the owner of Hamiton Trucking Lines in Long Island, N.Y., for 20 years.
After retiring from that job, he joined the U.S. Postal Service.
Until one week before his death, he remained active in playing bridge, walking and visiting family and friends in Yucca Valley.
He is survived by daughters Joan Van Houten of Old Bridge, N.J., Judy Hetkowski of Boulder,  Colo., and Peggy Randall of Springfield, Ohio, sons Joseph Cosenza Jr. of Ft. Collins,  Colo., and Tom Cosenza of Yucca Valley, sisters Marie Fredericks of North Providence, R.I., and Marge Conway of Watkins Glen, N.Y., eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Landers Calvary Chapel in Landers. A service was held Jan. 29 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tobyhanna, Penn., with Father Will Comellas of St. Mary's of the Mountain officiating. Inurnment was at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow, Penn.

Martha R. Prince-Tippy
Restaurant Owner, 94
Martha R. Prince-Tippy, a native of Michigan and a longtime resident of Joshua Tree, died Feb. 9, 2004, in Standish, Mich. She was 94 years old.
Born Oct. 21, 1909, she owned and operated Granny's Cafe in Yuma, Ariz., and was a member of WOTM College of Regents in Yuma.
Upon retiring, she moved to Joshua Tree, where she was a member of Grace Community Church.
During the final three years of her life, she had relocated to Michigan to be near her daughters.
Mrs. Prince-Tippy is survived by daughters Patricia Johns of Prescott, Mich., and Dorothy LaFrance of St. Clair, Mich., 20 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, two sons and one daughter.
A memorial will be held April 3 in St. Clair, Mich. Inurnment will be at Marine City, Mich.

Frances Kathleen Hines Moore
School Teacher, 75
Frances Kathleen Hines Moore, a native of North Carolina, a 38-year resident of California and a 14-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died Jan. 7, 2004, at home. She was 75 years old.
Born July 25, 1928, to Cleveland Hines Sr. and Mildred Duff-Hines, and was married to Lawrence R. Moore for 49 years.
Mrs. Moore was an alumni of High Point University, where she received her bachelor of science degree in 1949.
She was a 57-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, president of Hearts of Yucca Valley and president of the women's group at the Church of Religious Science of Apple Valley.
She was a Sunday school superintendent at the Marine Corps base in Barstow and secretary of the Apple Valley Teachers Association in Apple Valley.
She is survived by daughters Kathy J. Moore of Palmdale and Terry J. Moore of Sylmar, sons Lawrence R. Moore Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, and George C. Moore and wife Sharon L. Moore of Spokane, Wash., and granddaughter Chelsea A. Moore and grandson Trent R. Moore, both of Spokane, Wash.
A service for immediate family and U.S. Naval hospital personnel was held Jan. 11 at Desert Congregational Church in Twentynine Palms.
The Rev. Craig Walker of Desert Congregational Church officiated. Inurnment will be at Onslow Memorial Cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C.

Gauge Christopher Finn
Six Weeks Old
Gauge Christopher Finn, died Jan. 9, 2004, in his Joshua Tree home. He was six weeks old.
Gauge was born Nov. 26, 2003, to Victor Finn Jr. and Susan Campbell.
He is survived by his parents, Victor Finn Jr. and Susan Campbell, his maternal grandparents, John and Alma Campbell of Joshua Tree, his paternal grandparents, Charlotte and Victor Finn of California, his brothers and sisters, Angel, Blaze and Savannah Finn of California, his great-grandmother, Emma Medecke of Joshua Tree as well as uncles, aunts and cousins.
A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. today at John and Alma Campbell's residence.

Kenneth 'Kenny' Adams
Production Control Supervisor, 74
Kenneth "Kenny" Adams, a native of South Dakota, a 48-year resident of California and a 13-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died at 1:50 a.m. March 26, 2004. He was 74 years old.
Mr. Adams was retired, after being a production control supervisor at Unitek for 15 years
He loved to camp and fish with family and friends in the High Sierras. Big Springs was his heaven on Earth.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Iva Frances Adams, daughters Melinda of Yucca Valley and Glenda of Portland, Ore., sons Stephen of North Hollywood and Gary and Kenneth, both of Palmdale, brother Homer of West Covina, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysess and Mabel Adams, and his brother Hollis.
Interment was at 1 p.m. April 2 at the Twentynine Palms Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Wiefels and Son.
