Dorothea Loretta Seiden

Graveside services for Dorothea Loretta Seiden, 81, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Rio Vista.

A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville. The Rev. Thomas Smith will officiate.

Born July 13, 1918, in Beaver Dam, Ohio County, Ky., Mrs. Seiden died Dec. 25, 1999, at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Seiden lived in Vacaville for the last 10 years. She had lived in Rio Vista from 1944 to 1972 and then had lived in Mountain View from 1972 to 1989.

Mrs. Seiden was a lead model for Carlie Fashions in St. Louis for several years. She was also employed by Saks Fifth Avenue and I. Magnin. She was a great cook and a wonderful seamstress. She was also an avid reader, a member of the Republicans Women's Club of California and the Museum Guild and a docent at the Vacaville Museum.

Mrs. Seiden is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Sylvia Seiden of Stafford, Va., Bill and Karen of Vacaville; son, Craig of Fremont; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Gerry Ferrari of San Jose, Virgina and Chris Veal of San Jose; daughter, Nanci Seiden of Stafford, Va.; brothers, V.E. "Bud" Sutton of Mountain View, Marvin White of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Jim White of Arnold, Mo.; sisters, Virginia Williamson of St. Louis, Mo., Mary Ann Mitchell of Paducah, Ky., Joyce Beasley of Dearing, Ga. and Linda Smith of University Place, Wash.; 12 grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the organ fund or the deacon fund at Community Presbyterian Church, 425 Hemlock St., Vacaville, 95688.

Franklin D. Blohm

A funeral for Franklin D. Blohm of Elk Grove will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk Grove.

Mr. Blohm died Dec. 27, 1999, in Elk Grove.

Mr. Blohm resided in Vacaville for 22 years before moving to Elk Grove recently. He was a loving father, cherished husband and great friend. He enjoyed fishing and his family.

Mr. Blohm is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bernadette; daughter, Denise; and son, John.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements were made by George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, Sacramento.

Patricia K. Gaddy

There will be no formal services for Patricia K. Gaddy, 78, of Suisun at the request of the family. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Gaddy died Dec. 26, 1999, at her home after a brief illness.

Born Dec. 3, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., she lived in Suisun for 29 years. She worked for six years with the U.S. Census Bureau as an interviewer and was a housewife for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Gaddy was an excellent handicapper of horses, skilled cribbage player and a San Francisco Giants fan.

Mrs. Gaddy is survived by her daughter, Pamela Riley of Tampa, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Chuck Sauer of East Greenwich, R.I.; son, Bryan of Suisun; brother, Thomas Kane of Fircrest, Wash; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Dorothy M. Geren

A funeral for Dorothy M. Geren, 90, of Vacaville will be private. Inurnment also will be private.

Mrs. Geren died Dec. 23, 1999, in Vacaville Convalescent Home after a short illness.

Born Jan. 6, 1909, in Salina, Kan., she worked as a switchboard operator for Pioneer Title Insurance, The Sun Co. and Santa Fe Railroad, all in San Bernardino.

Mrs. Geren was an avid fisherwoman and bowler and loved to travel with her husband.

Mrs. Geren is survived by her daughter, Laverna Baldwin of South Lake Tahoe; sons, Robert and Richard, both of Southern California; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph.

Arrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Vernon Leon Graves

A funeral will be held for Vernon Leon Graves, 67, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Assembly of God, Glenwood Springs.

The Rev. Jerry Boshen will officiate. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery.

Mr. Graves died Dec. 26, 1999, in his home.

Born May 24, 1932, in Gadsden, Ala., he resided in Glenwood Springs. He worked in the oil industry in Oklahoma City, Safeway and City Market.

Mr. Graves was involved in music, drama and church. He was a member of theater groups in school and was one of the first four-star thespian recipients at Tampa High School. He sang semi-professionally with Faith Incorporated quartet. He was a graduate of Tampa, Fla., and attend Southwest Bible College in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Madean of Glenwood Springs; mother, Cora E. of Glenwood Springs; sons, David of Cave Junction, Ore., Leonard of Vacaville, Rick of Crescent City and Jerry McDowell of Savannah, Mo.; brother, Irvin of Lakewood, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Assembly of God, Glenwood Springs.

Arrangements were by Farnum-Holt Funeral Home.

Lucille Klos

A committal service for Lucille Klos, 83, of Los Angeles will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Silveyville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, Dixon.

Born Feb. 27, 1916, in Vacaville, Mrs. Klos died Dec. 24, 1999, in Los Angeles.

She is survived by her son, Frank of Los Angeles; daughter, Corinne Pargett of Kona, Hawaii; grandson, David Pargett of Portland, Ore.; granddaughter, Ann Marie Pargett of Kona; brother, Anthony Lo Polito of Pennsylvania; and sister, Anna Pierce of Napa.

John Frederick 'Fred' Lackey

A funeral for John Frederick "Fred" Lackey, 56, of Fairfield will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Jaccard O. Arida of Templo Y'Shua of Fairfield will officiate. Burial will be in the West Prong Cemetery in Medina, Texas.

Mr. Lackey died Dec. 26, 1999, at his home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 16, 1943, in Los Angeles, he was raised in Kerrville, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he returned to California and lived in Fairfield for 30 years.

Mr. Lackey worked with his father in the family auto repair business in Texas. From 1960 to 1963, he served in the U.S. Navy as a guided missile technician aboard the USS Hancock. Following his military service, he worked in the Bay Area as an iron worker on some of the tallest buildings.

After a job injury, he attended Solano Community College and received an associate's degree in automotive theory and an A.S.E. certification in automobile repairs. From 1988 until recently, he successfully ran his Fairfield business, John's Auto Repairs. He was a member of the California Iron Workers Union Local 378.

Mr. Lackey enjoyed hang-gliding and motorcycling.

Mr. Lackey is survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah Ann of Fairfield; daughters, Victoria A. of Fairfield and Stephanie M. Bailey of Napa; sons, John J. of Napa and Justin J. of Fairfield; father, John O. of Kerrville, Texas; sisters, Berverly J. Stisser of Kerrville, and Peggy L. Murphy of Waldport, Ore.; brothers, William H. of Kerrville and Edward K. of Bethel, Alaska; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533, or Templo Y'Shua, 300 Marigold Drive, Fairfield, 94533.

Services also will be held in Kerrville at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 at Sizemore Funeral Home.

Michael L. O'Flinn

No services will be held for Michael L. O'Flinn, 53, of Antelope at the family's request. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. O'Flinn died Dec. 26, 1999, in Sacramento after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 2, 1946, in Meridian, Miss., he lived in Antelope for five years. He worked as a locksmith for five years at Brashers Sacramento Auto Auction.

Mr. O'Flinn was an Oakland Raiders fan. He loved riding and working on motorcycles.

Mr. O'Flinn is survived by a daughter, Terri Krauth of Suisun; sister and brother-in-law, Norajean and Dale McQuinn of Hayward; brother, Buddy of Sacramento; granddaughter, Madison of Suisun; and grandson, Brian Krauth, of Suisun.

Arrangements were by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

James Robert Henry

No formal services will be held for James Robert Henry, 58, of Vallejo. Burial will be at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Hassan Township, Minn.

Mr. Henry died on Dec. 25, 1999, at Evergreen Health Care Center in Vallejo.

Born on March 23, 1941, in Minneapolis, he lived in Vallejo for the past two years. He lived in Benicia from 1977 to 1997 and in Walnut Creek for 16 years before that. He attended special education classes and workshops in Walnut Creek and was a very gentle and loving person.

Mr. Henry is survived by his brother, Douglas of Vallejo; and cousins, Tom Morgan of Walnut Creek, and David Henry of Fort Worth, Texas.

Eleanor Anita Petrie

Private services will be held for Eleanor Anita Petrie, 72, of Napa at the request of family members.

Mrs. Petrie died Dec. 27, 1999, at Queen of the Valley Hospital after an extended illness.

Born Feb. 17, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., she had lived in Napa since 1968. She married Arthur Bryan Petrie on Oct. 4, 1950, and spent the majority of her years as a homemaker. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Petrie is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Arthur "Pete" Petrie; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Paul Primeaux of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Jane of Vacaville and Scot and Jami of Port Orchard, Wash.; grandchildren, Curtis Primeaux and Jeremy, both of Vacaville, Conrad, Bryan and Michele, all of Port Orchard; great-grandchildren, Cayla and Dakota Velez; and many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Chicago area.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter, 657 Mission St., Suite 603, San Francisco, 94105.

Elizabeth A. Basden

Graveside services for Elizabeth A. Basden, 63, of Suisun will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tulocay Cemetery. The Rev. Erwin Bollinger will officiate. Burial will follow.

Mrs. Basden died Dec. 27, 1999, in her home after a long illness.

Born July 22, 1936, in Taft, she had lived in Suisun since 1974. Raised and educated in the Bakersfield and Vallejo areas, she lived in Napa for 18 years before moving to Suisun.

Mrs. Basden is survived by her husband, Ted of Suisun; daughters, Jeannie Cornelios of Napa, Janine Weber and Joylena L. Caddell, both of Utah, and Stacy Cochran of Oregon; sons, James L. Boll of Fairfield and Ted Jr. of Vacaville; sister, Elaine Sherman of Napa; brother, David E. Harley of Utah; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Friends are invited to a memorial gathering and celebration of life at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2025 Jefferson St., Napa, 94559.

Walter R. Blauvelt

A memorial service for Walter R. Blauvelt, 81, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Monday in Fairfield Funeral Home.

Pastor Todd Bertani will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Blauvelt died Dec. 29, 1999, in Sierra Solano Convalescent Home after a long illness.

Born June 1, 1918, in Cleveland, he had lived in Fairfield since 1972. He worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years. He was the former owner of the C and C Club in Fairfield from 1975 to 1985 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Blauvelt is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tom Gedvilas of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sherrie of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Tami and Trisha Gedvilas, both of Fairfield, and Wendy and Jason, both of Meridian, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay.

Arrangements were made by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Roberta Stella Jackson

A funeral for Roberta Stella Jackson, 45, of Vacaville, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Valley Evangelical Free Church.

The Rev. David M. Sotelo will preside. There will be a private cremation.

Mrs. Jackson died Dec. 26, 1999, in Vallejo after a sudden illness.

Born May 17, 1954, in Pocatello, Idaho, she had lived in Vacaville for 11 years. She worked as a teacher for Bella Vista Elementary School for 11 years and then for California Medical Facility Adult Education for five years where she taught literacy and computer skills. She was a member of the Optimist Club of Vacaville, the Napa Philharmonic Symphony and CSEA.

Mrs. Jackson loved to play the violin and the piano. She also loved to draw and paint, as well as hike outdoors and do community service projects with young people.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Ricky of Vacaville; sons, Grady J. Leupold of Seattle and Romulus Ulysses and Andrews Charles, both of Vacaville; mother and stepfather, Dorothe and Herbert Prior of Sonoma; sisters, Rhonda and Rochelle Torre, both of Sonoma; and brother, Roger Torre of Sonoma.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in McCune Garden Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Jackson's memory to the Vacaville PALS, 1100 Alamo Drive, Vacaville, 95687, or the Napa Philharmonic Symphony, 2407 California Blvd., Napa, 94558.

EE Khabanh

A funeral for EE Khabanh, 84, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. There will be a private inurnment at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, San Pablo.

Mrs. Khabanh died Dec. 29, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a long illness.

Born March 9, 1915, in Numtha, Laos, she lived in Suisun for five years and in Richmond for 14 years. She was a homemaker for 65 years.

Mrs. Khabanh is survived by her sons, Kou and Loy, both of San Pablo, Ein of Laos, and Nuan of Suisun City; brother, Yam of Laos; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
