Richard Eugene Conrad
A memorial service for Richard Eugene Conrad, 66, of Vacaville will be today at 1 p.m. at the Christian Church of Vacaville on Vine Street. Pastor Su Schlagel will officiate. Interment will be private.
Mr. Conrad died on March 14, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a long illness.
Born on Nov. 28, 1933, in Keanee, Ill., he lived in Vacaville for the past 28 years. He was in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954 with the rank of sergeant and served in Korea. He then worked for Pacific Bell, where he was an engineer for 35 years.
From 1987 to 1990, he owned and operated Conrad-Delta Utility Engineering before working for the city of Vacaville, where he was a city inspector. He was a trustee at the Christian Church of Vacaville and was a former member of the Lions Club. He was also a Bronze Star recipient during his military service.
Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife of 44 years, Harriet M. of Vacaville; daughters, Allison Rae Mahler of Grass Valley and Stephanie Lee Conrad of San Jose; grandson, Ian Joseph Mitchell of Grass Valley; and sister, Dorothy Frenzel of Pearland, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Arrangements are being handled by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Hershel R. 'Goldie' Golden
At the request of the family, no formal services will be held for Hershel R. 'Goldie' Golden, 80, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Golden died on March 13, 2000, in Fairfield after a short illness.
Born on March 15, 1919, in Bunker, Mo., he lived in Fairfield for the past 42 years. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard and in 1944 joined the U.S. Army and served under Gen. George Patton in the European campaign. He also participated in the Battle of Normandy in Southern France. He received two Purple Hearts, five Bronze Stars and a World War II Victory Medal. He served a total of 26 years and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a technical sergeant.
He worked for Vaca Valley Bus Lines, driving a local bus to and from Travis Air Force Base until retiring in 1982 after 10 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and loved Sunday afternoon drives with his family and a good Cuban cigar.
Mr. Golden is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth E. of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Victor Pascual of San Francisco; daughter, Edith H. of San Francisco; son and daughter-in-law, William H. and Kathy of Riverbank; grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Jordan and Jenna; great-grandchild, Aliya Jordan; and sister, Ruth of St. Louis.
Thelma D. Jaggie
A funeral for Thelma D. Jaggie, 98, of Auburn will be 2 p.m. Monday at Epiphany Episcopal Church.
The Rev. Stephen Leonetti will preside. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at McCune Garden Chapel.
Born Jan. 14, 1902, in Sydney, Australia, Mrs. Jaggie died March 14, 2000, in Auburn after a long illness.
She was a devoted homemaker all her life. She was a member of the Gray Ladies and the Epiphany Episcopal Church before moving to Grass Valley. Mrs. Jaggie was an avid painter and world traveler. She traveled extensively with her husband. They lived in Siapan and Okinawa and traveled many times to Australia and Hawaii.
Mrs. Jaggie is survived by her son, Art, and his fiance, Margaret Steele, both of Grass Valley; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Jaggie in 1972; son, Edward; and daughter, Patricia Beckingham.

Fred C. Peasley
Fred C. Peasley, 80, of Fairfield died on Feb. 24, 2000, at a local hospital after a long illness. Services were held in late February.
Born on Nov. 24, 1919, in Maine, he lived in Fairfield for the past 34 years. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran who retired from the Department of Defense.
Mr. Peasley is survived by his wife, Yongsoon of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Hisook and John Brooks of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Susy of Vacaville; and grandchildren, Michele Traywick, Kelly Brooks and Heather and Sam, all of Vacaville.
Irene D. Cooper
Funeral services for Irene D. Cooper, 71, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. The Rev. Henry Perkins will officiate.
Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park. Visitations will be from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at Solano Valley Mortuary and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Cooper died on March 15, 2000, after a brief illness.
Born on May 22, 1928, in Brentwood, Tenn., she lived in Fairfield for the past 20 years. She was a supervisor at Oakland Naval Base, telecommunications supervisor for the Red Cross and was retired from Concerted Services.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, David of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Novel Henderson of Vacaville; sons, Ronald of Fairfield and David Jr., who is in the U.S. Navy; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Jewel and Thelma Granville of Fairfield and Patricia and Samuel Burton of Oakland; sister, Gilda Richardson of Pittsburg; brother, Alex Owens of Pittsburg; and sister-in-law, Rose Arline of Fairfield. She also had seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Annabelle B. Gallon
No public services will be held for Annabelle B. Gallon, 84, of Suisun City. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery
in Colma.
Mrs. Gallon died on March 16, 2000, in Suisun City after a long illness.
Born on Dec. 25, 1915, in San Francisco, she lived in Suisun City for four years after having lived in San Mateo for 27 years and San Francisco for 55. She was a homemaker and a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Mrs. Gallon is survived by her sons, David H. of Guernville and Paul V. and David J., both of Vacaville; daughter, Carol Munce of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Ray Charles Tylutki
A funeral mass for Ray Charles Tylutki, 82, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Mount Carmel in Fairfield. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate.
Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery
in Los Altos following the mass at 1 p.m.
Mr. Tylutki died on March 15, 2000, in Laurel Creek.
Born on Feb. 11, 1918, in Chicago, he lived in Fairfield for the past two years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of Pearl Harbor, retiring as a commander after 23 years of service. He was a resident of Los Altos from 1961 to 1997, before moving to Fairfield. During his military service, he was commander of Air Group 14 on the USS Hornet. He also worked in real estate from 1977 to 1990.
He was a member of Our Lady Mount Carmel, the Retired Officers Association, VFW Post 3982 in Santa Clara and Saint Simon's Catholic Church in Los Altos. He was an avid golfer, bridge player and fisherman.
Mr. Tylutki is survived by his wife, Betty of Fairfield; nephews, Glenn of Omaha, Neb., Robert of Lake Carol, Ill., Russell of Florissant, Mo., Richard of San Diego and Glenn Cameron of British Columbia, Canada; and nieces, Judy Bogdanski of Downers Grove, Ill., Rosanne Cameron of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Roberta Cameron of New Zealand, and Carol Hebbring of Colgate, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Disease Association Inc., 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4B, Staten Island, N.Y., 10305.

Santo Tortorete
A graveside service for Santo Tortorete, 87, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Solano Valley Mortuary.
Mr. Tortorete died on March 18, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on Jan. 24, 1913, in Sicily, Italy, he was an engineer with J&L Steel Co. for 30 years before his retirement. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 19 years.
A member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Mr. Tortorete is survived by his wife, Julia of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Isabelle of Fairfield; grandsons, Brian and Michael of Fairfield; granddaughter, Valaurie of Fairfield; granddaughter-in-law, Ellen; and great-grandchildren, Michael of Sanger, and Domonic, Victoria and Jacob, all of Fairfield.
Cloyd A. Jones
No formal funeral will be held for Cloyd A. Jones, 70, of Solano County.
Born Feb. 5, 1930, in Abilene, Texas, Mr. Jones died March 18, 2000, at Mather Air Force Base after a short illness.
Mr. Jones worked at Mare Island as a plumber/pipefitter and as an apartment maintenance man. He lived in Solano County for more than 30 years.
He loved to fish and watch car racing.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary of Vacaville; stepdaughters, Marsha Lynn Stone of Astoria, Ore., Linda Sue Huntley of Vacaville, Vickie Lee Weber of Fairfield, and Barbara Jean Lewis of Lake Bay, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Penny of Dallas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Carole Ann Dunaway
A Catholic Prayer Service for Carole Ann Dunaway, 58, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Friday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. The Rev. William Feeser will officiate. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Dunaway died on March 20, 2000, at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in North Sacramento after a short illness.
Born on May 16, 1941, in San Francisco, she lived in Vacaville for the past 56 years. She owned and operated Premier Floors in Vacaville and Cordelia with her husband, Chuck, for the past eight years. She previously had been employed at Basic Vegetable for 25 years, where she was a supervisor. She enjoyed boating, camping, gardening and bowling in a tournament league in Vacaville. She was a graduate of Sequoia Union High School in Woodside in the class of 1959. She had been involved with the San Mateo Junior Horseman's Club during those years. She was also a member of the Vacaville Fire Department Auxiliary.
Mrs. Dunaway is survived by her husband, Chuck of Vacaville; daughter, Sandra M. Cory of Vacaville; other children, Marie and Michael Branson of Vacaville; brother, Jack McCann of Stockton; sister, Irene Metcalf of El Cajon; and half-sister, Jenny of Redwood City. She also had four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Riehl, in 1993.

Robert L. Remillard

Mr. Remillard died on March 18, 2000, at his home in Fairfield after a sudden illness.
Born on Feb. 10, 1926, in Toledo, Ore., he lived in Fairfield for the past two years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1960 and worked in the construction field for more than 15 years. He then worked for Pacific Steel as a Magniflex operator for 12 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the CMTA-Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers Union, Local No. 164B in Oakland.
Mr. Remillard is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jose Padilla; daughters, Debbie Alexander of California and Becky Alexander of Colorado; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Nancy of Springfield, Ohio, and Robert C. and Joyce of Lamar, Mo.; and sister, Grace Wish of Oregon. He also had 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Al Skog
At the family's request, no formal services will be held for Al Skog, 79, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Skog, who went by the nickname "Skog," died on March 19, 2000, in Fairfield after a short illness.
Born on May 28, 1920, in Wadena, Minn., he lived in Fairfield for the past 15 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a real estate appraiser for the American Appraisal Company, where he worked for 38 years. He loved woodworking and traveling, and belonged to the Fairfield SIRS.
Mr. Skog is survived by his wife, Caryol of Fairfield; brother-in-law, George Olin of Arizona; brother-in-law, Terry Olin and his wife, Helga, of Iowa; and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Schwartz and Dorothy Pauley, both of Minnesota. He also had several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Albert; sister, Valerie; and brothers, Virgil and Luther.

Vern Anima

Mr. Anima died on March 21, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno.
Born on July 23, 1941, in Lemoore, he lived in Suisun for the past eight years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy and retiring after 20 years of service. He graduated from Lemoore High School and was a former resident of Benicia. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Vallejo and Danville. He also owned a business with his wife in Fairfield. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 15 years. He also enjoyed golf and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Anima is survived by his wife, Brenda of Suisun City; daughters, Debbie Duncan of Vacaville, Tina of Seattle and Kristen Steiger of Suisun City; son, Paul Steiger of Dublin; and grandchildren, Jacob and Alyssa.
