Claudine Sue Owens
A memorial service for Claudine Sue Owens, 51, of Fairfield will be held 11 a.m. today at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Napa.
Born in Jena, La., Ms. Owens died April 5, 2000, at a Napa home following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was a self-described "philosopher of absolute reality."
Ms. Owens is survived by her sons, Lawrence Sager of Fairfield and Daniel Sager of Santa Cruz; mother, Mary D. of Fairfield; sisters, Nikki Jordan of Silver Springs, Nev., and Sandra of Vacaville; and brothers Chester Jr. and Richard, both of Vacaville, Shelby of Hanford and Dale of Eunice, N.M.
Elsie G. Webb
A funeral for Elsie G. Webb, 86, of Dixon, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Dixon Community Church. Burial will follow the service at Silveyville Cemetery
in Dixon.
Born Sept. 17, 1913, in Spring Brook, Wis., Mrs. Webb died April 5, 2000, at Sutter Davis Hospital in Davis after a lengthy illness.
A 46-year resident of Dixon, Mrs. Webb was a member of Dixon Community Church where she served in the Ladies Aid Society and on the Deacon's committee.
Mrs. Webb is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Art Bourne of Minnesota; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Ruth of Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C., on Oct. 17, 1995, and sister, Agnes Sneen.
Arrangements are being handled by Davis Funeral Chapel in Davis.
Jack J. Stagner Jr.
A graveside service for Jack J. Stagner Jr., 59, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Monday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will preside.
Visitiation will be held at McCune Garden Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Born Sept. 19, 1940, in Albuquerque, N.M., Mr. Stagner died April 5, 2000, at home after a long illness.
A Fairfield resident from 1961 to 1985, Mr. Stagner was a Vacaville resident for 14 years. He worked in the family construction business until 1975 and held positions at Sequoia Supply, Solano Lumber as well as a civil service position at Travis Air Force Base. He enjoyed traveling in his recreational vehicle and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Mr. Stagner is survived by his wife of 11 years, Carolyn of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Danny Rodreguez of Napa; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Stacy of Vacaville and Mike and Lynette of Napa; stepchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Christy Batchelder of Sacramento, Curtis and Jen Batchelder of Colorado and Mike and Kathy Batchelder and Sherry and Mac Glover, all of Vacaville; mother, Pauline of Suisun; sisters, Niarja Ann Marchand and Florence Maria, both of Suisun, and Susan Stagner Richie of Davis; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Leslie of Pleasant Hill, Zachary of Sacramento and Mark and Valinda of Fairfield; grandchildren, Rhanda Freeman of Idaho, Brittany Rodriguez and Ryan Pyles, both of Vacaville, and Shania and Kiania, both of Napa; four nieces; four nephews; two great-nieces; and a great-nephew.

Bernie Vasquez
A Catholic Prayer Service for Bernie Vasquez, 64, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Born June 11, 1935, in Lincoln, Neb., Mr. Vasquez died April 7, 2000, at VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.
A Vacaville resident since he was 6 months old, Mr. Vasquez owned and operated Bernie's Garage on Davis Street for the past 44 years.
Mr. Vasquez in survived by his wife, Myra of Vacaville; daughters, Ellen Wehmen, Tammy Rojas, Georgia Moreno and Allison Vasquez-Welling, all of Vacaville; son, Manuel of Vacaville; sisters, Josie Maldonado of Fairfield and Alberta Espinosa of Vacaville; brother, John of Vacaville; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Clistie Garland-Biringer
A funeral for Clistie Garland-Biringer, 95, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairfield Funeral Home.
The Rev. Robert Lewis of Temple Baptist Church will officiate.
Mrs. Garland-Biringer will be buried at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fairfield Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 5, 1904, in Morrison, Mo., Mrs. Garland-Biringer died April 7, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairfield Senior Citizens' Club since 1961.
She is survived by her daughters, Clistie Johnson of Fairfield and Shirley Doty of Bay Point; sons, Roy Garland of Pleasant Hill and Orville Garland and Franklin Garland, both of Fairfield; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Paul Charles Jackson
Visitation for Paul Charles Jackson, 78, of Fairfield will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Micahel Downey will officiate.
Mr. Jackson will be entombed at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.
Born June 5, 1922, in Hespeler, Ontario, Canada, Mr. Jackson died April 6, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center after a brief illness.
A Fairfield resident for 41 years, Mr. Jackson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1964. He served in the European theater during World War II, retiring from the Air Force as a master sergeant.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Jackson attended the University of San Francisco for two years. He later worked as an assistant manager for Travis Federal Credit Union for 23 years.
He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Holy Spirit School Parent Guild, Air Force Association, Loyal Order of Moose and numerous bowling leagues.
He is survived by his wife, Marie of Fairfield; son, Mark of Fairfield; sisters, Margaret and Betty, both of Westfield, N.Y.; brothers, Robert of Syracuse, N.Y. and Richard of Denver; two nieces; and four nephews.
Urbano Luna
A funeral for Urbano Luna, 79, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.
The Rev. Tim May of Vaca Valley Christian Life Center will officiate. Interment will be at Silveyville Cemetery
in Dixon.
Born May 24, 1920, in Guanajato, Mexico, Mr. Luna died April 6, 2000, in Sacramento.
He worked as a ranch foreman for 57 years in the Dixon area.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Teresa; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Joanna, Urbano Jr. and Juanita and Robert and Marilyn, all of Dixon; son, Richard of Placerville; daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Pat Day of Vacaville and Sally and Rick Covey and Elizabeth and Mike Holly, all of Dixon; brothers, Guadalupe of Lodi, Alex of Winters, Gabriel of Woodland and Joe of Vacaville; sisters, Fidelia of Sonora, Mexico, Adelina Aleijo of Stockton and Elvira Morey of Michigan; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Sarah Renee Phillips
Visitation for Sarah Renee Phillips, 13, of Vacaville, will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Vaca Hills Chapel.
A private funeral service for Sarah will be officiated by The Rev. Lester Seto of the Bethany Lutheran Church.
Sarah will be buried at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Born June 8, 1986, in Fairfield, she died April 6, 2000, in Vacaville.
She was a lifelong Vacaville resident and an eighth-grader at Vaca Pena Middle School.
Family members and friends remember Sarah for her laughter, sassiness and talent for poetry. She was a beautiful daughter and her sister's best friend. She always will be a light in her parents' lives.
Sarah is survived by her mother, Kimberly Phillips of Vacaville; father, Glenn of Vacaville; sister, Sherry of Vacaville; brothers, Troy Tomsun of Vacaville and Matthew Bongard of Marin County; and grandmother, Hilda Martin of Vacaville.
Angel Jerrad Rubio
Graveside services for Angel Jerrad Rubio, an infant, will be 1 p.m. today at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

The infant died shortly after birth on April 4, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center.
He is survived by his mother, Ana Marie Namauleg of Winters and father, Gabriel of Winters.

August "Augie" Edman Garrido Sr.
A memorial service for August "Augie" Edman Garrido Sr., 85, of Vallejo will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at McCune Garden Chapel. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McCune. Deacon Ed Lazarek will preside. Interment will be private.
Born Sept. 25, 1914, in Santa Clara, Mr. Garrido died April 8, 2000, in Vallejo after a long illness.
He retired from Mare Island Naval Shipyard supply department in 1971 after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Vallejo Umpires Association for 20 years. He umpired at the Little League, youth, high school and college levels. He was part of the "Chain Gang" at Corbus Field for Vallejo, Hogan and St. Vincent's football games.
Mr. Garrido is survived by his wife, Margaret of Vallejo; sons, August Jr. of Austin, Texas, Grant G. of Bonney Lake, Wash.; daughter, Cathy Clark of Vallejo; grandchildren, Lisa and Tony Boyd of Santa Ynez, Gina and Ron Holbrook of Oregon, Tracy Garrido of Vallejo, Matt Garrido of Vallejo, Daryn and Garett Garrido of Washington, Michael and Jennifer Clark of Vallejo; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois.

Muller Lee Jones Jr.
A funeral for Muller Lee Jones Jr., 78, of Vacaville will be held this morning in Newman, Ga. A private visitation was held in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home on Friday. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Park in Newman.
Born April 16, 1921, in Roscoe, Ga., Mr. Jones died April 5, 2000, at VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Jones had worked as a private pilot for the Beneto Oil Co. for 15 years. A retired colonel, he served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. He was a member of the Air Force Association, order of Daedalians Golden Gate Flight 5, the Quiet Birdmen and the A.O.P.A.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Louise of Vacaville; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosa Maureen and Ed VandeHei of Vacaville, Donna and Barry Norris of Salem, Ore., daughter, Marcia Kathleen Jones of Vacaville; sister, Imogene Brown of Newman and four grandchildren.
