Ilse Donahue

Services for Ilse Donahue, 70, of Fairfield will be private.

Mrs. Donahue died on May 12, 2000, at her home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Jan. 12, 1930, in Koln, Germany, she had lived in Fairfield since 1956. She completed 12 years of education and worked at Western Realty as a real estate agent for eight years. She loved animals, including birds, cats and dogs. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Fairfield.

Mrs. Donahue is survived by her brothers, Heinich Haverkamp of Fort Lee, N.J., and Garheart Haverkamp of New York; and niece, Michaelle Haverkamp of New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ilsa Donahue Trust, 724 Meadowlark Drive, Fairfield, 94533.

Solvei M. Goreham

A memorial service for Solvei M. Goreham, 58, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Lester Seto will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Goreham died on May 12, 2000, in Vacaville after a long battle with breast cancer.

Born on Aug. 30, 1941, in McVille, N.D., she lived in Vacaville for the past 30 years. She worked as a correctional counselor for the California Medical Facility and San Quentin for more than 30 years. She was a lifelong Lutheran.

Mrs. Goreham is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Augusta and Kelly Brothers of Sacramento; daughter, Sarah and partner, Ron Houston, of Vacaville; stepchildren, Nathan of Reseda and Paige Phillips of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Liam and Lauren Brothers of Sacramento; and sister, Karen Boone of Colorado Springs, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thorpe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Korien Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 370, Dallas, 75244.

Arrangements are being handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Jasmine 'Jazz' Snedeker

A memorial service for Jasmine 'Jazz' Snedeker, 65, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Temple Baptist Church in Fairfield. Pastor Robert Lewis will officiate.

Mrs. Snedeker died on May 11, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a long illness.

Born on May 8, 1935, in Petersborough, England, she lived in Fairfield for the past 40 years. She was a life member of the Fairfield High School Falcon Football Boosters, volunteering her support to its bingo program for many years. She served on various boards of Little League and youth football in Fairfield and enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and the company of good friends and family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Snedeker is survived by her husband, Les of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Patrick Brennan of Vacaville and Lesley and Jay DePorto of Vacaville; daughter, Karen of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Paul of Fairfield and Kevin and Juli of Vacaville; sons, Garry and Daryl of Fairfield; and brother and sister-in-law, David and Jill Essom of Gainsborough, England. She also has seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95817, or a luminary can be purchased from the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Fairfield, 94533, to be lighted in her memory at the Relay for Life on July 8 at Armijo High School.

Arrangements are being handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Steve A. Trolinder

Services for Steve A. Trolinder, 72, of Vacaville will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Skyview Funeral Chapel in Vallejo.

The Rev. Al Marks will officiate. Burial will be at Skyview Memorial Cemetery in Vallejo. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Vallejo.

Mr. Trolinder died on May 13, 2000, at his home in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born on Dec. 16, 1927, in Brownfield, Texas, he lived in Vacaville since 1961 after having lived in Vallejo for 20 years. He worked at Safeway in Vacaville out of the retail clerks union and retired after 30 years in 1984. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Vacaville.

Mr. Trolinder is survived by his wife, Frances M. of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott A. and Melissa of Vacaville and Jeff R. and Conni of Fairfield; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Greg and Kathi Tavalero of Herlong; sister, Navella Jones of Vacaville; and brothers, Printess E. of Vallejo, Kennith of American Canyon, Wayland of Spanaway, Wash., and Emmitt of Napa. He also has seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Florencio E. Domiguez

A memorial service for Florencio E. Dominguez, 90, of Fairfield will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Dominguez died on May 12, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Jan. 10, 1910, in the Philippine Islands, he lived in Fairfield for the past 24 years. He worked as a farm laborer for the past 60 years. His work took him to Palm Springs, Lodi, Stockton, Santa Rosa and numerous other locations. He belonged to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield. He loved bowling, fishing and gambling. He also enjoyed various card games.

Mr. Dominguez is survived by his wife, Virginia of Fairfield; son, Frank of Fresno; and sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Bea of Fresno and Raymond and Kathy of Fresno. He also has 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Elizabeth B. King

A funeral for Elizabeth B. King, 96, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Epiphany Episcopal Church.

Inurnment will be in the Epiphany Columbarium.

Born Jan. 30, 1904, in Portland, Maine, Mrs. King died May 6, 2000, at the Sunbridge Care Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield after a long illness.

She moved to the area 10 years ago. She was a homemaker for 70 years.

She was a member of the Vacaville Wednesday Club and the Vacaville Museum. She was active in church most of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Duncan McIntosh of Fairfield and Alan McIntosh of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Laurie Gartley of Fairfield, Douglas McIntosh of Long Beach, Bruce McIntosh of Japan and Lisa Henley of Ventura; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Gartley and Ross Ian Gartley of Fairfield.

Arrangements are under the direction of Vaca Hills Chapel.

David Joseph May

A memorial mass for David Joseph May, 39, of Sacramento will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Interment will be private.

Mr. May died on May 11, 2000, at his home in Sacramento after a long illness.

Born on March 6, 1961, in Fairfield, he lived in Sacramento for the past 10 years after having lived in Green Valley. He attended local schools, including Solano Community College and ROP. He worked for Solano County as a stationary engineer for about six years before moving to Sacramento, where he worked in heating and air conditioning before becoming disabled.

Mr. May is survived by his parents, Merton and Mary Ann of Green Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Karn and Scott Righthand of San Anselmo; brothers, Eric of Green Valley and Alex of Fairfield; and niece and nephew, Jessica and Grady Righthand of San Anselmo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, P.O. Box X, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are being handled by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Irvin Harley Garton

A funeral for Irvin Harley Garton, 76, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home in Vallejo.

Burial will be private at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.

Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Albion, Neb., Mr. Garton died May 13, 2000, at home after a long illness.

He was raised in Nebraska. He lived in Vallejo for more than 50 years before moving to Vacaville in 1992.

He served as a staff sergeant in the infantry regiment during World War II. He retired from the state of California in 1985.

Mr. Garton was an accomplished singer and toured with the Del Courtney Band during the 1940s.

He loved golfing, playing cards and going to horse races.

He also was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Gary Lambert of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sandy of Suisun; son, Gary of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Poarch of Woodland; brothers, Duane of Redwood City, Arnold of Hollister, Max of Napa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, and son, Tommy.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94589.

Annabelle Eline Brisco

At her request, there will be no services for Annabelle Eline Brisco, 76, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Brisco died May 14, 2000, in Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a sudden illness.

Born Feb. 4, 1924, in Pasadena, she moved to the area 13 years ago. She was owner/manager of the Yarn Boutique for two years.

Mrs. Brisco enjoyed knitting, sewing and playing bridge. She also taught crafts at the Vacaville Community Center.

Mrs. Brisco is survived by her husband, Alec D. of Vacaville; daughters, Cheryl Forden of Vacaville, Sandra Stut of Pasco, Wash.; sister, Rosalie Fraser of Vacaville; brother, Everett Kaatz of Roseville; grandchildren, Anthony and Tina Forden.

Arrangements were handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Ronald Edward Bledsoe

A memorial service for Ronald Edward Bledsoe, 48, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lighthouse Christian Church in Winters. Inurnment will be private at the Winters Cemetery.

Mr. Bledsoe died on May 9, 2000, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Born on Dec. 25, 1951, in Woodland, he lived in Vacaville, where he attended school, for many years. He later lived in Winters before residing in Alaska for four years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had taken taxidermy courses. He also enjoyed camping.

Mr. Bledsoe is survived by his son, Ronald Lem; parents, Lem and Dicie of Winters; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Carol of Eden, Utah; brother, Douglas of Winters; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bill Ford of Vacaville; nieces, Cheryl and Christine of Vacaville; and nephews, Larry Jr., Douglas and Daniel of Utah, and Matthew of Vacaville.

Arrangements are being handled by Smith's Colonial Chapel in Winters.

Jack D. Elliott

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday for Jack D. Elliott, 67, of Fairfield at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, with a rosary at 6 p.m. Entombment with full military honors will take place at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Elliott was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Fourmile, Ky. He died May 13, 2000, at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek after a long illness. He had lived in Fairfield for 22 years. He served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1978 and retired as a technical sergeant. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a communication specialist. Mr. Elliott then worked for the Postal Service from 1979 to 1997 as a postal clerk until his retirement.

He enjoyed stamp collecting and model trains, cars and airplanes. He also enjoyed fishing and auto mechanics.

He is survived by his wife, Minda Elliott of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Harold Broughton of Barbourville, Ky.; son, John Elliott of Fairfield; granddaughter, Bethany Broughton of Barbourville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533.
