Grace Elenore Maxon
Services for Grace Elenore Maxon, 83, of Suisun City will be private. Her ashes will be scattered at sea.
Born March 30, 1917, in Los Angeles, Mrs. Maxon died June 17, 2000, at Sunbridge LaMariposa Convalescent Hospital.
Mrs. Maxon was employed as a waitress at Copper Boiler in Walnut Creek for 10 years.
Mrs. Maxon is survived by her daughter, Sally Bennett of Stockton; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Shirley Maxon of Eureka; two sisters and one brother; grandchildren, Shari and Joe Babcock of Suisun City; Ron and Jennifer Marlette, Randy and Janet Marlette, all of Fairfield; Sandy and Gregg Shultz of Vacaville; former son-in-law, William Marlette and his wife, Betty of Fairfield; numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and her daughter, Dolores Marlette.

Philip Richard Obley
Private graveside services for Philip Richard Obley, 83, of Fairfield will be held Wednesday at Riverside National Cemetery.
Born Oct. 19, 1916, in Topeka, Kan., Mr. Obley died June 16, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center.
A longtime resident of Lake San Marco, Mr. Obley retired as a colonel in the Air Force after 29 years. He received the Legion of Merit award for his conduct and participated in the Berlin Airlift in 1949. During World War II, he was an instructor pilot.
After retiring, he became active with the Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit in San Diego. He was an instructor, as well as a flotilla commander of the unit. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association.
Mr. Obley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne Obley of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Clayton Robarchek of Wichita, Kan., Sharon and Charles Houy of Washington, D.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Philp and Patricia Obley of Philadelphia, Kevin and Rebecca Obley of Magalia; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Manuel Raymond Rozadilla
Memorial services for Manuel Raymond Rozadilla, 77, of Sonora will be at noon Wednesday at McCune Family Chapel. Inurnment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Born May 31, 1923, in Fairfield, Mr. Rozadilla died June 16, 2000, at his home.
A resident of Sonora for five years, Mr. Rozadilla worked as a truck driver for various companies for 30 years. He also worked for Mother Lode Motor and was a greeter for Wal-Mart.
Mr. Rozadilla served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 and received the Purple Heart. He was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and enjoyed fishing with his son, Brian.
Mr. Rozadilla is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Rozadilla of Sonora; sons, Dennis Rozadilla of Los Angeles, Richard Rozadilla of Alaska; sister, Carmen Daveler of Rio Vista. He was preceded in death in 1995 by his wife, Josephine.

Eva Victoria Boehmer
No formal services are planned for Eva Victoria Boehmer, 91, of Sacramento.
Born June 8, 1909, in Aberdeen, Wash., Mrs. Boehmer died June 10, 2000.
Mrs. Boehmer was a longtime resident of Vacaville and a charter resident in the Leisure Town retirement community. She was a faithful member of the Christian Church Of Vacaville. She also lived in Bremerton, Wash., and Hawaii for many years. She moved to Sacramento one year ago to be near family. She was a wife, mother, homemaker and hostess.
She had many friends and loved to entertain. She played many instruments, took flower arranging classes and was a member of Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
She did volunteer work well into her late 80s.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine Boehmer of Seattle, Joan and Lee Byers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son and daughters-in-law, Guy and Joanne Boehmer of Sacramento and Bonnie Stephens of Rancho Cordova; grandchildren, Tarrell Hubbard, Todd Hubbard and wife Vicky, Tyler Hubbard, Matthew Boehmer and wife Jennifer, Aristie Inks and husband Rob; great-grandchildren, Christy Beggrow, Travis Hubbard, Elizabeth Hubbard, Matthew Inks and Kaitlyn Boehmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bill Boehmer.
Remembrances may be made in her memory to donor's favorite charity.

Hemby Lane Chappell
At his request, no services will be held for Hemby Lane Chappell, 88, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.
Born Oct. 2, 1911, in Belvedere, N.C., Mr. Chappell died June 14, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Chappell worked as a machine operator for American Home Foods for 10 years. He served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring with the rank of master sergeant. An avid camper, Mr. Chappell enjoyed woodworking and watching sports on TV.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Robert Ciavarelli of Vacaville, Claudia and Dennis Kijowski of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, William and Carol Chappell of Vacaville; son, Walter Hoffman of Napa; sisters, Attie Price of Maryland, Mary White of North Carolina; brother, Edward Chappell of Missouri; grandchildren, Christine, Kimberly, Jack, William, Eric, Judy and Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Michael 'Herm' Jones
A funeral for Michael 'Herm' Jones, 51, of Bremerton, Wash., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairfield Funeral Home. Pastor John Harris of New Life Church will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery.
Born Sept. 5, 1948, in Vallejo, Mr. Jones died June 16, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Jones was raised in Suisun City and graduated from Armijo High School in 1966. Mr. Jones worked as a rigger at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 28 years before retiring. He then worked for Triton Marine Construction as an office manager for the last three years in Bremerton.
He is survived by his wife, Norma of Bremerton; parents, Jim and Faye of Hawthorne; sister, Carol of San Ramon; brothers, Tim and Pat of Hawthorne.

Mary Lynn Lundon
An informal gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Mary Lynn Lundon, 60, of Vacaville will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at her home, 699 Claremont Drive in Vacaville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Lundon died June 19, 2000, at her home following a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer.
Born Nov. 17, 1939, in Wilmar, she entered the U.S. Army in 1958 and became a medical specialist at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She loved children, embarking on a lifelong career working as a teachers' aide with autistic children in Plano, Texas.
Moving to Vacaville in 1984, she enjoyed working as a Kmart clerk, and dedicated herself to her 'kids' as a respite caregiver for disabled children, affiliated with Hope House in Vacaville and Bay Area Family Services until 1997.
She gave of her time in cancer and other charity walkathons, enjoyed cross-stitch, family, antiques, Frank Sinatra music and 'I Love Lucy' reruns.
Mrs. Lundon is survived by her daughter, Tracey Lundon of Vacaville; daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Lee Clash of Lucas, Texas, and Jennifer and Kevin Eye of Littleton, Colo.; grandson, Travis Lee Clash of Lucas; mother, Dorothy Kresling of Vacaville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol Kresling, Paulette Paltza, Dorothy Ann and Jim Macdonald, Linda Gay and Mike Schiess, Laura and Charlie Cox and Susie and Buddy Fitz; 16 nieces and nephews, 25 great-nieces and nephews; and friends Charlotte and Lonnie Cavins and Eric Ayers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas David Lundon and her father, Leroy Paul Kresling.

Schuyler U. Pike
A funeral for Schuyler U. Pike, 79, of Fairfield will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Community United Methodist Church. Diane Merrill will officiate. Entombment will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
Born Feb. 18, 1921, in Union, W.Va., Mrs. Pike died June 17, 2000, in Fairfield.
Mrs. Pike was a photo processor for Royal Tone for 22 years.
She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Butler United Methodist Church in Bronx, N.Y., for 37 years.
Mrs. Pike is survived by her nieces, Patricia Taylor of Suisun City, Lillian Y. Sharp of Buffalo, N.Y.; nephews, Leon James Jr. of Bronx, John Lewis of Columbus, Ohio, Leon Roberts of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Pike.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Robert E. "Bob" Eaton
Robert E. "Bob" Eaton, who served as finance director for the city of Vacaville for 27 years and also served as treasurer of the Vacaville Museum, died Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a brief illness. He was 64.
"Long before the city had computers, we had Bob Eaton, who was a computer himself," said Vacaville City Manager John Thompson. "He kept very meticulous records."
Eaton's office at City Hall was full of cards with the city's revenue and expenses on them. He continuously updated the city's finances on the cards, and had the information right at his fingertips for easy access.
"It was a very manual process," Thompson said. "I can't imagine trying to do that in this day and age, but at the time, it worked very well."
But Eaton is credited with more than keeping excellent records.
He came up with the plan that eventually led to the construction of the North Bay Regional Water Treatment Plant, which was built in the mid-1980s, said Thompson.
At the time, the city was growing fast and in need of another treatment plant. Instead of waiting for developers to build homes and then contribute fees toward a new plant, Eaton suggested that the city begin collecting fees from developers in advance and at a discount.
The developers got a discount on the fees and the city immediately received the money it needed to build the plant, said Thompson.
Born Sept. 3, 1935, in Sacramento, Mr. Eaton was raised in Fairfield. At Armijo High School, he excelled in student government and sports.
Before graduating from Armijo, he served as student body president. He was a member of the last football team to win a league championship and was a member of the 1952 championship baseball team.
After graduating from Chico State College with a degree in accounting, Mr. Eaton arrived in Vacaville. He was hired as finance director, a position he held for 27 years until retiring in 1989.
He belonged to the S.I.R.S., the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers and the Government Financial Officers Association of the United States and Canada. Mr. Eaton served a term on the executive board of the museum as treasurer.
Museum officials said he was installed as treasurer on Dec. 13, 1994 and served for about two years. Treasurers serving after him were always impressed with his record keeping, according to former museum Director Ruth Begell.
He loved his family and enjoyed golf, fishing, sports and travelling.
At his request, no formal services will be held. It was his wish to have his ashes scattered on the Mendocino Coast.
Mr. Eaton is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joanna of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Sandy Eaton of Lafayette, Tom and Carla Eaton of Fairfield, Dave and Penny Eaton of Vacaville, Rick and Kelly Eaton of Vacaville; and 13 grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Pearl Stowe
Memorial services for Pearl Stowe, 37, of Travis Air Force Base will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Vacaville. Pastor Leroy Gaines will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Born Jan. 23, 1963, in Welsh, La., Mrs. Stowe died June 19, 2000, at home.
Primarily raised in Atwater-Merced, Mrs. Stowe graduated from Merced High School in 1981. She attended Merced College and studied business.
In 1993, she was awarded an associate of sciences degree from Riverside College for studies in early childhood development. She volunteered with the American Cancer Society, the Liz Breast Cancer Support Group, the Mad Hatters and Bosom Buddies.
She is survived by husband, Clifton Stowe Jr. of Travis; daughters, Kynder and Kirsten Stowe of Travis; parents, Harvey Sr. and Mary Jackson of Merced; sisters, Paula Anderson of Clarksville, Tenn.; Pamela Dillard of Berkeley, Mich.; Patrice Roduner of Merced; brother, Harvey Jackson Jr. of Rialto.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Liz Breast Cancer Support Group, the Mad Hatters or the American Cancer Society.
