Schuyler U. Pike

A funeral for Schuyler U. Pike, 79, of Fairfield will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Community United Methodist Church. Diane Merrill will officiate. Entombment will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.

Born Feb. 18, 1921, in Union, W.Va., Mrs. Pike died Sept. 17, 2000, in Fairfield.

Mrs. Pike was a photo processor for Royal Tone for 22 years, and had 12 years of education, including cosmetology school in 1945.

She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Butler United Methodist Church in Bronx, N.Y., for 37 years.

Mrs. Pike is survived by her nieces, Patricia Taylor of Suisun City, Lillian Y. Sharp of Buffalo, N.Y.; nephews, Leon James Jr. of Bronx, John Lewis of Columbus, Ohio, Leon Roberts of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Pike.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Manuel Raymond Rozadilla

Memorial services for Manuel Raymond Rozadilla, 77, of Sonora will be at noon Wednesday at McCune Family Chapel. Inurnment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born May 31, 1923, in Fairfield, Mr. Rozadilla died June 16, 2000, at his home.

A resident of Sonora for five years, Mr. Rozadilla worked as a truck driver for various companies for 30 years. He also worked for Mother Lode Motor and was a greeter for Wal-Mart.

Mr. Rozadilla served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 and received the Purple Heart. He was an avid San Francisco Giants fan and enjoyed fishing with his son, Brian.

Mr. Rozadilla is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amy Rozadilla of Sonora; sons, Dennis Rozadilla of Los Angeles, Richard Rozadilla of Alaska; sister, Carmen Daveler of Rio Vista. He was preceded in death in 1995 by his wife, Josephine.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6350 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 33309.

Arrangements are under the direction of Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home in Sonora.

Winifred J. Schroeder

A funeral for Winifred J. Schroeder, 81, of Fairfield will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Pastor Stan Sanderson will preside.

Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park, 1901 Union Ave. in Fairfield.

Mrs. Schroeder died June 24, 2000, at Vacaville Convalescent Center following a long illness.

Born May 21, 1919, in Patterson, N.J., she had lived in Fairfield for 10 years. She had worked as a PBX and telephone operator for 15 years and was a homemaker for the past 60 years.

Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her husband of 60 years Walter of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ear Ramer of Alamo; sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Herb Steinberger of St. Augustine, Fla.; grandsons and wives, Earl and Wendy Ramer of Walnut Creek, and Eric and Kellee Ramer of Bakersfield; niece Debra Renne of Lake Mary, Fla.; nephew, Gary Steinberger of New York; and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Dr. Donald L. Bradstreet

A funeral for Dr. Donald L. Bradstreet, 60, of Stockton will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Quail Lakes Baptist Church in Stockton. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in Lodi.

Dr. Bradstreet died on June 26, 2000, at his home in Stockton.

Born on Aug. 31, 1939, in Battle Creek, Mich., he graduated from Climax High School in Battle Creek before enlisting into the U.S. Air Force, where he served 20 years. He retired as a senior master sergeant and master flight engineer with more than 10,000 flight hours. He entered the ministry in 1979 after graduating from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. While serving Christ for the next 21 years, he received a doctorate in educational administration from University of the Pacific. He served his last nine years as the business administrator for Quail Lakes Baptist Church. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying and teaching the Bible to others.

Dr. Bradstreet is survived by his wife of 14 years, Janet of Stockton; son and daughter-in-law, Capt. Mark and Ellen of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and James McCary of Belvedere, S.C.; grandchildren, Monica, Elizabeth and Haydn; mother, Virginia of Vallejo; and brother, Ken of Vallejo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Quail Lakes Baptist Church.

Rosetta "Dee" Clark

A memorial service for Rosetta "Dee" Clark, 47, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Vaca Hills Chapel. The Rev. William Feeser will officiate.

Dee lost her four-year battle with breast cancer on June 24, 2000.

Born on Feb. 4, 1953, in Beaumont, she lived in Vacaville for the past 22 years. She served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Mare Island for seven years. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Sacramento for the past 12 years.

Dee is survived by her daughter, Brandi Clark, and granddaughter, McKayla Clark, both of Vacaville; mom, Lois Clark of Banning; mother, Lois Hernandez of Hemet; brothers, Troy Clark of Shingle Town, Roy Clark of Albuquerque, N.M., Ron and Melvin Clark of Leesburg, Fla., and James Clark of Big Bear; and sisters, Linda McWilliams and Cesaria Friend, both of Hemet.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Solano Hospice Association.

Fumie Conway

Private graveside services will be held at Rockville Cemetery for Fumie Conway, 64, of Fairfield. Pastor Wes Nordman will preside.

Mrs. Conway died June 27, 2000, at her residence following a long illness.

Born Dec. 13, 1935, in Yokohama, Japan, she had lived in Fairfield for 34 years. She was a homemaker for 41 years and a member of Fine Arts of Fairfield.

Mrs. Conway is survived by her husband, Edgar of Fairfield; sons, Daniel of Sacramento, Fredrick of Fairfield and son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Jilinda of Dixon; three grandchildren, Lindsey and Courtney Conway of Sacramento and Ciara of Dixon.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo or to the American Cancer Society Solano County, 1652 West Texas St. Fairfield, 94533.

Kenneth VanHorn Douglas

A Masonic ceremony for Kenneth VanHorn Douglas, 90, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday at McCune Garden Chapel. The Masons of the Vacaville Masonic Lodge will officiate. Interment will follow at the Hartley Cemetery in Lakeport. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the chapel.

Mr. Douglas died on June 24, 2000, in Vacaville after a short illness.

Born on Sept. 21, 1909, he lived in Vacaville for the past 45 years. Upon graduation from high school in Twin Falls, Idaho, he farmed with his father in Idaho for 12 years. He then moved to the Vacaville area, where he worked for Purity Foods and later for the Langendorf Bakery in the sales and distribution of bread products. He was a member of the Vacaville Masonic Lodge and a longtime member of the Vacaville Farm Grange, where he was active in getting low income housing projects approved and built in Vacaville.

Mr. Douglas is survived by his brother, Robert of Napa; grandchildren, Douglas Daum of Minnesota, Laura Hawkins of Washington, Cindy Scott of Colorado, and Kathy Grandel of Delaware. He also has 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Doris, his son, Thomas "Scotty" in February 1958 and his daughter, Margaret Daum on March 18, 1998.

Weldon M. Stout

A funeral for Weldon M. Stout, 67, of Vacaville will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. Pastor Stan Sanderson will preside.

Interment will be private.

Mr. Stout died June 26, 2000, at his home following a short illness.

Born June 2, 1933, in Berkeley, he had lived in Vacaville for 10 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, spending four years in the country from 1952 to 1956.

Mr. Stout worked as an electrician for Local No. 332 in Santa Clara County for 31 years and was formerly a resident of Saratoga for 10 years. He was past president of Leisure Town RV Club, past president of California Cruising Clippers, was an avid lover of model boat racing, sailing, RV camping, model trains, music and lawn bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Cheryl of Calgary, Canada, and Greg Stout of San Jose; sisters, Beatrice Ulrich of Castro Valley and Shirley Duncan of Albany; brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and June of Rocklin; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Jason of Calgary.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Delciena V. Dodds

A funeral for Delciena V. Dodds, 87, of Suisun will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Dodds died on June 27, 2000, in Sebastopol after a short illness.

Born on Jan. 26, 1913, in Longmont, Colo., she lived in Suisun for the past 55 years. She was a longtime business owner in Fairfield, operating Alberta's Restaurant and, most recently, Dodd's Cafe.

Mrs. Dodd is survived by her son, Robert of Sebastopol. She also seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and daughters, Wilma and Alberta.

John F. Droll

A funeral for John F. Droll, 85, of Dixon will be 11 a.m. Friday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon. Pastor Catherine Morris will officiate. Burial will follow at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Mr. Droll died on June 27, 2000, in Dixon.

Born on Aug. 11, 1914, in Hudson, Colo., he lived in Dixon since 1955. He worked as a local manager for the California Water Service Company in Dixon for 24 years. He was a member and past president of the Dixon Rotary Club. He enjoyed his family, especially his granddaughters.

Mr. Droll is survived by his wife of 51 years, Della of Dixon; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Russell Woolf of Dixon; granddaughters, Darian Woolf of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Alaina Woolf of Dixon; and nephew, DaWayne Rasmussen of Sacramento.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., #4, Fairfield, 94533, or to the Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson St., Dixon, 95620.

Elaine Young

A memorial service for Elaine Young, 66, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church in Fairfield. Robert Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery.

Mrs. Young died on June 28, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born on Feb. 5, 1934, in Barryton, Mich., she lived in Fairfield since 1977. She worked as a housekeeper at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base for 10 years before retiring.

Mrs. Young is survived by her daughters, Laura Pascznk and Connie Petersen, both of Vacaville, and Donna Smith of Missouri; and sons, Ricky of Vancouver, Wash., and Ronald of Fairfield. She also has 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

C. Ethel Fisk

A memorial service for C. Ethel Fisk, 83, of Fairfield will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Fairfield Funeral Home.

W.A. Burkey will officiate. Ashes will be scattered at sea.

Mrs. Fisk died June 29, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born June 6, 1917, in Monarat, Va., she lived in Fairfield for 37 years. She was a homemaker, long-time supporter of Fairfield High School's band and athletic associations. She enjoyed gardening and playing bingo.

Mrs. Fisk is survived by her daughters, Betty Delcour of Fairfield and Sandra Andrews of DeQuincy, La.; sons, Lloyd of Springboro, Ohio, and Ronald of Nice, France; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents, Dora Bruner and Burton Stoneman; her sister Mae and her brothers, Joe and Homer.

Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, P.O. Box 1824, Sacramento, Ca., 95812.

Christopher Phillip Spicer II

A memorial service for Christopher Phillip Spicer II, 25, of Vacaville, will be held at 4:30 p.m. today at McCune Garden Chapel. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Spicer died June 29 in his home after a long illness.

Born May 4, 1975, in Fairfield, he lived in Vacaville all of his life. He worked for Raytheon for the past four years as a computer drafter. He was an honor graduate of ITT and a 1993 graduate of Vacaville High School. He was a member of the Society of Creative Anachronism.

Mr. Spicer is survived by his parents, Chris and Paula of Vacaville; a sister, Amy; niece Taleane Roberts-Spicer; paternal grandmother, Virginia, all of Fairview, Ore.; maternal grandfather, Albert Mendes of Vacaville; and a large extended family including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
