Alyce Louella Burns

A graveside service for Alyce Louella Burns, 85, of Suisun City will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond. Interment will follow. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Burns died on July 6, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a sudden illness.

Born on Feb. 25, 1915, in Alexandria, Minn., she lived in Suisun City for the past 20 years after having resided in Richmond for 39 years. She worked for American Standard in Richmond for 10 years. She was a loving homemaker most of her adult life and she will be deeply missed by all. She was a former member of the Sons of Norway and enjoyed spending time with her family and working crossword puzzles.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her daughter, Jan Cessna of Minden, Nev.; son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Geneva of Suisun; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Melinda and Ed Williams of Vacaville; and grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Rod and Frances of Suisun. She also had four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield 94533.

Groa Maria Darcangelo

A funeral and entombment for Groa Maria Darcangelo, 62, of Fairfield, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Darcangelo died July 7, 2000, at her home after a four-month illness.

Born Sept. 23, 1937, in Keflavik, Iceland, she lived in Fairfield for 30 years. She worked as a sales associate for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for 25 years, then worked for Military Sales for two years.

Mrs. Darcangelo is survived by her husband, John J. of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph John and Barbara of Vacaville; grandson, John J. of Vacaville; brothers, Johann Sorenson of Palm Springs, Peppi and Sayar Sorenson, both of Keflavik.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., #110, Fairfield, 94533.

Dianne F. Youngworth

At her request, there will be no services for Dianne F. Youngworth, 58, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Youngworth died July 9, 2000, in Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo following an illness.

Born March 13, 1942, in Taunton, Mass., she lived in Fairfield for 11 years. She served in the U.S. Army and was an event coordinator for the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce for one year.

Mrs. Youngworth is survived by her son, Victor Cross of Santa Cruz; father, Frank Silvia of Rohnert Park; sister, Maureen Rose of Morongo Valley; brothers, Dan Silvia of Suisun and Gary Silvia of Marysville, Wash.

Arrangements were handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Mildred Gertrude Pritchett

A funeral for Mildred Gertrude Pritchett, 96, of Vacaville, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bethany Lutheran Church.

Pastor Lester Seto will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Pritchett died July 9, 2000, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born June 27, 1904, in Los Gatos, she moved to the area in 1928. She worked as a teacher for the Vacaville Unified School District for 20 years. She was a member of the Rebekah's, Daughters of the American Republic and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. "She was a rock hound and a good Republican," said her daughter, Margaret Coyer.

Mrs. Pritchett is survived by her son, Frank I. Jr. of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughter, Margaret Coyer of Horicon, Wis.; sister, Christine Bickett of Sacramento; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1993 and a daughter, Elsa Lowrimore in 1966.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 621 S. Orchard St., Vacaville 95688.

Joseph James DelGreco

At his request, there will be no services for Joseph James DelGreco, 81, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. DelGreco died July 5, 2000, in VacaValley Hospital.

Born Nov. 22, 1918, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he moved to this area two years ago and lived in Orange County for 15 years. He worked as an executive sales manager for Permatex for 35 years.

Mr. DelGreco enjoyed singing in the Bells & Beaus and Leisure Town Community singing groups, was an avid golfer and deep sea fisherman. He also enjoyed baseball.

Mr. DelGreco is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Mary; daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and David Kraan of Keno, Ore., and Barbara and Howard Pilon of Vacaville; son, Patrick of Vacaville; grandchildren, Kevin, David and Justin Kraan, all of Oregon, Matthew Pilon of Vacaville and Michelle Benoit of Sacramento; great-grandchildren, Michael Kraan of Oregon and Bryce Benoit of Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Rose.

Arrangements were by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Ricardo Garcia Cariaga

Mass of Christian Burial for Ricardo Garcia Cariaga, 64, of Suisun, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Cariaga died July 9, 2000, in NorthBay Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Born May 27, 1936, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he lived in Suisun for 32 years. He worked at Travis Air Force Base as a forklift operator for 10 years, Honda of Vacaville for 5 years, and Serta Mattress Co. for 10 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bingo.

Mr. Cariaga is survived by his wife, Lydia of Suisun; daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Arnel Raquel of Suisun and Cynthia and Bobby Sims of Modesto; daughter, Kathryn of Modesto; son, Ricardo G. Jr., of Suisun; sisters, Nora Abadeza of Vallejo, Linda Lumibau and Gloria Tomas, both of Hawaii; two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Marvin Reynold Deloatch

A funeral for Marvin Reynold Deloatch, 63, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Friday at Chapel One on Travis Air Force Base. The Rev. Johnny Bryant will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Solano Valley Mortuary.

Mr. Deloatch died on July 9, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base.

Born on Sept. 18, 1936, in Newsome, Va., he lived in Fairfield for the past 25 years. He worked as a financial analyst for BART in Oakland and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Tri City Elks No. 1662.

Mr. Deloatch is survived by his wife, Annette of Fairfield; daughters, Tammy, Wendy, Kim Campbell and Dayna Deloatch-Martinez, all of Fairfield; sons, Marvin R. and Darrell, both of Fairfield; and mother, Callie Artis of Portsman, Va. He also has 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur.

Fusako Anna Handa

A funeral for Fusako Anna Handa, 81, of Fairfield will be held at 10 a.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. The Rev. Ruclare Pauling will officiate. Interment will be at Rockville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Handa died on July 9, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on June 7, 1919, in Sacramento, she lived in Fairfield for the past 50 years. She was self-employed as a piano teacher for five years. She was a member of Music Makers and the Nisei Club. She also enjoyed making Japanese dolls.

Mrs. Handa is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Susian of Fairfield, and Ron and Judy of Fairfield; and brother, Keiji Oshima of Sacramento. She also has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Myra J. Reddick

There will be no services for Myra J. Reddick, 75, of Dixon. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Reddick died on July 9, 2000, in Dixon after a short illness.

Born on Dec. 22, 1924, in Woodland, she lived in Dixon for the past 50 years. She grew up in Winters and worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo after graduating from high school. She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for the Bank of America branch in Winters before transferring to the Dixon branch. She retired from Bank of America after 36 years.

Mrs. Reddick is survived by her husband, Hardy of Dixon; sisters, Betty Cavaglieri of Davis and Lillian Potter of Folsom; brother, Bill Duncan of Davis; and god-daughter, Sandy Kwong of Davis. She also has many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of a service or flowers, Mrs. Reddick's wishes were that memorial contributions be made to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617.

Arrangements are being handled by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Josephine Madrid Rodriguez

A Mass for Josephine Madrid Rodriguez, 83, of Fairfield, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodriguez died July 10, 2000, at her home after a long illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1917, in Redlands, she lived in Fairfield for 33 years. She was a homemaker for 50 years. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Legion of Mary. She enjoyed walking, gardening and life in its entirety.

Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her sisters, Ann of Fairfield, Jessie Alvarado of Vallejo and Gloria Kelsey of Dublin; brothers, Tony of Cobb Mountain, John of Murray, Utah and Trinidad of Redlands.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Lorrene R. Simons

Graveside services for Lorrene R. Simons, 69, of Dixon, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Silveyville Cemetery.

Chaplain Keith Knauf will preside. Interment will follow.

Mrs. Simons died July 9, 2000, in Dixon after a long illness.

Born Oct. 8, 1930, in Edmonton Alberta, Canada, she resided in Dixon for 10 years. She was a homemaker for 52 years. She enjoyed floral arranging and various types of flowers.

Mrs. Simons is survived by her husband, Art of Dixon; son, Clifford Myelle of Folsom; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Chase of Vacaville; granddaughter, Terrina Chicchetti of Vacaville; several brothers and sisters of Canada.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lorrene's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.

Harold F. Banks

At his request, no formal services will be held for Mr. Harold F. Banks, 80, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Born Oct. 26, 1919 in Yakima, Wash., Mr. Banks died July 11, 2000 at his home.

He lived in Vacaville for the past five years. He served in the United States Merchant Marines and the United States Navy during World War II. He was a bartender for 40 years and had been employed by Delta Medical in Stockton for five years. He enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Banks is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patti of Vacaville; son, Robert of Bend, Ore.; brother, Robert of Seattle; sister, Patricia Larsen of Vancouver, Wash; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Kazumasa Benjamin Fujihara

At his request, there will be no local services for Kazumasa Benjamin Fujihara, 75, of Vacaville. Interment will be private at Alta Mesa Cemetery in Palo Alto.

Mr. Fujihara died on July 12, 2000, at VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.

Born on June 24, 1925, in Sacramento, he lived in Vacaville for the past 12 years. He worked as an executive chef, starting in Cleveland and moving to California, where he managed such eateries as Spago's in Palo Alto and Los Angeles, The Claremont Hotel in the Berkeley Hills, Ricky's Hyatt House in Palo Alto and the Apple Valley Ranch. He enjoyed fishing and drives through the national forests.

Mr. Fujihara is survived by his brother, Kenneth of Saratoga; and sisters, Aiko Yakamoto of Menlo Park, Katherine Tanako of Sunnyvale, Grace Saho of San Jose, Tobo Hirotsoka of San Jose, Ecki Kajikawa of Menlo Park and Diana Ogawa of Redwood City.

Arrangements are being handled by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
