Leota Bray

Graveside services for Leota Bray, 85, of Fairfield will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield.

Pastor Glen Green will officiate. Burial will follow.

Mrs. Bray died July 20, 2000, in her daughter's home after a long illness.

Born Jan. 19, 1915, in Douglas County, Mo., she had lived in Fairfield since 1941. She was a homemaker and attended Community Church of God in Fairfield for many years.

Mrs. Bray is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Noralee and John Kimbel of Fairfield; granddaughter and her husband, Cheri and Steven Pangburn of Winters; grandson and his wife, Greg and Sabine Kimbel of Suisun; great-grandchildren, Zak Pangburn of Winters, David and Julia Kimbel of Suisun; sisters, Virginia Swearengin of Fairfield and Lorene Hudson of Vacaville; and brother, Waynard Wagner of Grass Valley.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. at Fairfield Funeral Home.

Robert Kermit Halley

A funeral for Robert Kermit Halley, 79, of Winters will be 1 p.m. Monday at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 205 Russell St., Winters.

Interment will be at the Winters Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mr. Halley died on July 18, 2000, at his ranch on Halley Road in Winters.

Born on May 11, 1921, on the ranch, he was a lifelong resident of Winters and graduated from Winters High School. He farmed almonds and walnuts all his adult life and was a member of the Farm Bureau and Moose Lodge in Davis.

Mr. Halley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Orilla of Winters; son and daughter-in-law, Walter Earl and Sara Sue of Plain City, Ohio; son, Thomas K. of Winters; daughter, Roberta Halley Colter of Davis; brothers, Howard of Auburn and Norman of Winters; grandchildren, Rebecca and William, both of Plain City, Ohio, Loretta of Winters, and Angela Caruthers and Robert Davidson, both of Davis; and great-grandchild, Robert of Plain City, Ohio. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kaiser Hospice of Solano County, c/o Kaiser Hospital, 2025 Morse Ave., Sacramento 95825.

Arrangements are being handled by Smith's Colonial Chapel in Winters.

Frieda May Humphrey

A funeral for Frieda May Humphrey, 65, of Suisun will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rockville Chapel.

The Rev. Thomas Zerse will officiate. Interment will be at Rockville Cemetery in Suisun.

Mrs. Humphrey died July 19, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1934, in Muskogee, Okla., she lived in Suisun for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Humphrey is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Jim Sales of Suisun Valley; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Kathy of Suisun Valley and Phillip and Anne of Fairfield; son, Steven of Suisun Valley; sister, Rose Webb of Sacramento; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Joyce Boling of Denver; and daughter-in-law, Roni of Vacaville. She also has seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, in 1994, and her husband, Louis A., in 1997.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Association, 631 Howard St., Suite 520, San Francisco 94105.

Vernon Baxter Prink

Upon his request, there will be no services for Vernon Baxter Prink, 79, of Vacaville.

Mr. Prink died July 18, 2000, in Winsor House Convalescent Hospital after a long illness.

Born July 18, 1921, in Huntington, Pa., he moved to the area four years ago. He worked as a supervisor for Pacific Bell Telephone for 12 years. He was a 58 year member of the Masonic Lodge and a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed history and genealogy.

Mr. Prink is survived by his wife, Ramona of Vacaville; stepchildren, Mearl Ingram of Lindenhurst, Ill., Shauna Manina of Vacaville, Sandra Zarfoss of Lockhaven, Pa., and Sheila Stansbury of Modesto; four stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-stepchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Fred A. Bronk

A private inurnment will be held for Fred A. Bronk, 65, of Fairfield, who died July 19, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center following a heart attack.

Born May 16, 1935, in St. Paul, Minn., Mr. Bronk lived 17 years in Fairfield. He had worked as an operations manager for Service Pro Security.

Mr. Bronk was in the Marines and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean wars. He retired from the Mare Island Federal Police in 1994.

Mr. Bronk is survived by his wife, Sally of White Bear Lake, Minn.; son, Fred of Vacaville; and brothers Duane of Omaha, Neb., and Kenneth of St. Paul, Minn. He is preceded in death by his son, John.

Services are being handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

James D. Cooper Sr.

A funeral for James D. Cooper Sr., 69, of Vacaville will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Pastor Rick Stonestreet will officiate. Interment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Cooper died July 18, 2000, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born Dec. 27, 1930, in New Albany, Miss., he lived in Vacaville for the past 32 years. He was a sheet metal worker in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of master sergeant and retiring after 20 years. He was a member of the Vacaville Masonic Lodge A&FM No. 134.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Hajime D. of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Troy Terrell of Clayton; son, Mark of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, James Jr. and Sandra of El Dorado Hills; sister, Shirley Duncan of Eureka, Mo; and grandchildren, Brenda and Troy Terrell.

A visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Fenton E. Douglass

Funeral services for Fenton E. Douglass, 77, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Milton Steck will officiate. Inurnment will be at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo.

Mr. Douglass died July 18, 2000, at VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born Dec. 1, 1922, in Denver, he moved to the area in March after having lived in Huntington Beach. He was a veteran of the Navy and worked for Pacific Bell for 37 years. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Mr. Douglass is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Sheryl Erion of Vacaville; son, Fenton of Vacaville; and sister, Kathryn Daniels of Colorado. He also has seven grandchildren.

Diann Hood

Graveside services for Diann Hood, 55, of American Canyon, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery in Vallejo.

Mrs. Hood died July 20, 2000, at her American Canyon home following a long battle with cancer.

Born Aug. 5, 1944, in England, Mrs. Hood lived in Vallejo for 54 years. She graduated from Vallejo High School in 1962, and loved spending time with family and friends, country music, Elvis and trips to Reno.

She worked at the Golden Age Retirement Home in American Canyon for the past 10 years.

Mrs. Hood is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tully of American Canyon; daughter, Heather of American Canyon; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Judy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Rick Kelly of Vallejo, Debra and Edward Mays of Napa, Barbara and Hugh O'Gara of Illinois, and Karmen Glaspy of Indiana; brothers and sister-in-law, Donald Taylor of Vacaville and John and Judy Taylor of Ridgecrest; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Taylor, father Joseph Glaspy, and stepfather Vernon Taylor.

Arrangements are being handled by Struble Family Funeral Services.

Pacito I. Isidro

Formal services for Pacito I. Isidro, 68, of the Philippines will be held in San Rafael Bulocan, the Philippines.

Interment will be in the San Rafael Cemetery.

Mrs. Isidro died July 19, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a sudden illness while visiting friends in the area.

Born Oct. 5, 1931, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker her entire adult life.

Mrs. Isidro is survived by her husband, Benjamin of the Philippines.

Local arrangements are being handled by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Wanda Mae Liles

A funeral for Wanda Mae Liles, 73, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Liles died July 22, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a long illness.

Born Oct. 15, 1926, in Beebe, Ark., she lived in Fairfield for the past 28 years. She worked at Fairfield Bowl as a bookkeeper for 16 years before joining her husband as owner and operator of Solano Printers from 1981 to 1989, when she retired.

She traveled extensively during her husband's military career before arriving in Fairfield in 1962. She enjoyed bowling and horse racing.

Mrs. Liles is survived by her husband of 54 years, James R. of Fairfield; daughter, Linda M. of Suisun; mother-in-law, Mary of Jacksonville, Ark.; sister-in-law, Laverne Kasper of Jacksonville, Ark.; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Vera of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Frank and Peggy Henson of Jacksonville, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 105 Astrid Drive, Pleasant Hill 94523.

Virginia M. Lopez

A Mass of the Resurrection for Virginia M. Lopez, 65, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. William Feeser will officiate. Interment will be private at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Lopez died July 20, 2000, after a short, rare illness.

Born May 12, 1935, in Martinez, she was raised in Vacaville, where she lived her entire life.

Upon graduation from Vacaville High School, she worked as a dental assistant. She then worked at Bank of America until she retired. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time at the family cabin near Lake Tahoe. She had many close friends and enjoyed the time she spent in Bible study, walking, shopping and golfing with her buddies. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe of Vacaville; son, Brian of Vacaville; daughter, Pamela of Vacaville; daughter-in-law, Janet of Vacaville; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brandon, Jaimie and Joey, all of Vacaville; mother, Lola N. Moriel of Vacaville; and sister-in-law, Bobbie Moriel of Winters. She was preceded in death by her father, James Moriel, her brother, Jimmy, and a host of relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to A.C.S. Breast Cancer Research, 1652 W. Texas St., Fairfield 94533.

Lydia Jackson Zazrivy

A Celebration of Life for Lydia Jackson Zazrivy, 86, of Vacaville, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Epiphany Episcopal Church.

Father Stephen Leonetti will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Zazrivy died July 17, 2000, in Vallejo after a short illness.

Born July 28, 1913, in Santa Barbara, she lived in Vacaville for 47 years. She worked as a probation officer for Santa Barbara County and worked for the Solano County Office of Education. She also was a homemaker. She was a member of the NorthBay Hospital Guild, Order of Eastern Star of Vacaville and Whittier College Alumni Association. She loved helping people.

Mrs. Zazrivy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Cheryl of Fairfield; grandson, Corey of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Tom" Zazrivy in 1994.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lydia's memory to the NorthBay Hospital Guild, 1200 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements were handled by McCune Garden Chapel.
