Gordon P. Pugh
No service will be held for Gordon P. Pugh, 79, of Fairfield. Disposition will be private.
Mr. Pugh died Sept. 3, 2000 in Fairfield after a long illness.
Born Sept. 3, 1921 in Napa, he lived in Fairfield for the past 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a gunner on a B-17 "Flying Fortress." He also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a crew chief in aircraft maintenance. He later served in civil service at Travis Air Force Base from 1952 to 1977 and did a variety of jobs following retirement from the service.
Mr. Pugh is survived by his sons, Jim and Larry of Vacaville, Raymond, Phillip and Steve of Fairfield, and Patrick of Gardena; a daughter, Pamala Smith of Dayton, Nev.; and brother, Bob of Placerville. He also has six grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Alexander R. Willey
Graveside services for Alexander R. Willey, 83, of Union City will be 10 a.m. today at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery.
Mr. Willey died Aug. 26, 2000, at the Masonic Home in Union City.
Born May 30, 1917, in Camden, N.J., he lived at the Masonic Home for the past 10 years.
Mr. Willey is survived by his only child, Edith; grandchildren, Tina Anderson and Edward Voss III; and great-grandson, Hayden Voss.
Wilber Fitch
A memorial service for Wilber Fitch, 82, of Vacaville will be 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nut Tree Airport Hanger E3. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Fitch died Sept. 8, 2000, in Vacaville after a short illness.
Born Dec. 29, 1917, in Dante, S.D., he lived in Vacaville since 1962. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot and owner-operator of a charter airline, Air Transport Association. He was president of U.S. Eagle Inc. as a government contractor for 27 years. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville and the United Flying Octogenarians. He had a strong love for flying, his family and his friends.
Mr. Fitch is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Christy of Placerville and Neil and Sue of Seattle; daughter, Phyllis Woolworth of Pebble Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Preston Brahm of Santa Cruz; brother, Lloyd of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Elaine of Long Beach; and dear flying buddies, Duncan Miller and Lloyd Tincher. He also has seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale Ave., Vacaville 95688.

Shirley A. Mangels-Bushing
At the request of the family, no formal services will be held for Shirley A. Mangels-Bushing, 75, of Sacramento. Burial will be private at Rockville Cemetery.
Mrs. Mangels-Bushing died Sept. 8, 2000, in Sacramento after a long illness.
Born July 10, 1925, in Woodland, she lived in Sacramento for the past 55 years. She spent her childhood days in Suisun Valley at the Mangels Ranch. She was a homemaker for 55 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Mangels-Bushing is survived by her husband of 55 years, E.W. Bushing of Sacramento; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Fred Bushing Nelso of Newcastle; son and daughter-in-law, Ed Jr. and Sharon Bushing of Sacramento; sister, Jean Danelson of Vacaville; and brother, Dud Mangels of Fairfield. She also has two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marian Larson-Morris
Graveside services for Marian Larson-Morris, 78, of Del Rio, Texas, will be 0 a.m. Wednesday at Del Rio Memorial Park. The Rev. Marvin Wood will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Chapel in Del Rio, Texas.
Mrs. Larson-Morris died Sept. 8, 2000, at her home in Del Rio, Texas.
Born Aug. 4, 1922, in St. Paul, Minn., she lived in Vacaville before moving to Texas 16 years ago. She was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mrs. Larson-Morris is survived by her husband, Royce M. Morris of Del Rio, Texas; daughter, Linda Huber of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Helen of Larson of Waterford, Conn.; son, Donald Larson of Vacaville; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Ernest C. and Brenda Morris of Pampa, Texas, and Royce W. and Debbie Morris of Amarillo, Texas; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Rebecca and Roy King of Spring Branch, Texas; sister, Dorothy Sprinkles of Petaluma; and grandchildren, Aaron Guzman and Stefanie Huber, both of Vacaville. She also has several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Frederick Anthony Spencer
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frederick Anthony Spencer, 44, of San Jose will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Interment will be at Rockville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Mr. Spencer died Sept. 7, 2000, in an accident in San Mateo.
Born May 25, 1956, in Corona, he lived in San Jose for the past six months. He worked as a crane operator of the Operating Engineers Union, Local No. 3. He had worked as a crane operator for 16 years. He was a graduate of Armijo High School in Fairfield in 1974. He was a long-standing member of the Operating Engineers Union, Local No. 3, and his hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Terry of Palo Cedro; daughters, Jenny and Juliea, both of Palo Cedro; mother, Maria Louisa of Fairfield; father, Willard Almon of Tampa, Fla; sisters, Wanda Jean of Santa Maria, Rose Silva of Redwood City, Veronica Marie Griffiths of Oakland, Heidi Marie of Homer, Alaska, Kelley of Tampa, Fla., and Donna of Tampa, Fla.; and brother, Willard John of Homer Alaska. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert N. Waller
Graveside service for Robert N. Waller, 87, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Monday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery, Methodist Section, Plot 156. Mr. Robert J. Waller will officiate. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
Mr. Waller died Sept. 6, 2000, at Sunbridge Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.
Born Nov. 16, 1912, in Kopperl, Texas, he lived in Fairfield for the past several months and had lived in Lakewood since 1951 before then. He achieved the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving from 1942 to 1945. He learned to cook in the Civilian Conservation Camps during the Great Depression when he was 20 years old. He cooked in the Army during World War II at Point Difiance Park in Tacoma, Wash. After the war, he worked at the popular Savitz Cafe in Long Beach for 17 years before working at the Hyatt House and retiring in 1978.
Mr. Waller is survived by his wife, Mildred Nadine of Fairfield; sons and daughter-in-law, William C. and Betty of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, V. Jane and Ronald C. Riordan of Penn Valley; grandchildren, William C. Jr. of Fairfield, Robert James of Fairfield, Nancy Ann of Suisun, Kari Sue Riordan Kimura of Chico and Lawrence Riordan of Oakland; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah James of Fairfield, Aaron Robert of Fairfield, Rene Alana of Vacaville, Sara Beth of Vacaville, and Kyle Anthony of Fairfield.

Revilla Perdue
A graveside service for Revilla Perdue, 90, of Vacaville, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Fairfield-Suisun Cemetery
on Union Street in Fairfield.
Mrs. Perdue died Sept. 8, 2000, at the Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Born Feb. 25, 1910, in Labette County, Kan., Mrs. Perdue is survived by her daughter, Ramona Arons of Vacaville; her son, Gerald Morgan of Ponca City, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Perdue was a homemaker most of her life.
The Rev. Rick Willock will officiate at the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Donald Christman
A funeral mass for Donald Christman, 68, of Sacramento, will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday in Chapel Center at Travis Air Force Base.
The Rev. Michael Weber will preside. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Christman died Sept. 11, 2000 in David Grant Hospital after a brief illness.
Born April 30, 1932 in New England, N.D., he lived in Sacramento for two years. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951 and was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. He received numerous awards including two Purple Hearts during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Christman retired after 24 years of continuous service as a senior chief storekeeper and worked in civil service at Clarke Air Force Base in the Philippines until it closed in 1991.
He moved to Fairfield in 1991, and then moved to Sacramento in 1998. He was a member of the Veterans Activity Support Group while in the Navy.
Mr. Christman enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Concepcion of Sacramento; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Sammy Lee of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; sisters, Louise and her husband Eugene Cooke, Helen Ehlers, and Marie and her husband, Ruben Edinger, all of Yakima, Wash.; brother, William and his wife Star of Cashmere, Wash.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from today 5 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recital at 7 tonight in the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Benito P. Dio
A Mass of Christian Burial for Benito P. Dio, 79, of Fairfield will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Father Michael Downey will preside. Interment will be at Taysan Cemetery
in the Philippines.
Mr. Dio died Sept. 8, 2000 in NorthBay Medical Center.
Born Jan. 12, 1921 in Philippines, he lived in Fairfield for 9 years. He owned and operated his own transportation business in the Philippines, Dio's Transport, and was a veteran of WWII. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the VFW.
Mr. Dio is survived by his wife, Bienvenida of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Wilfredo Alfonso of Fairfield and Dr. Ruby and Dr. Samuel Elguira of Bangasian, Philippines; sons and daughters-in-law, Carlito and Annette, Marino and Helen, and Renan and Fannie, all of Manila; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with a Rosary recital at 7 p.m. Sunday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Donald Toshio Hayame
A memorial service for Donald Toshio Hayame, 47, of Red Bluff, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in McCune Garden Chapel.
Pastor Stan Sanderson will preside. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Hayame died July 14, 2000 in Red Bluff after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 10, 1953 in San Francisco, he was a native of Vacaville and lived in Red Bluff for 6 months. He worked as a baker for 25 years. He was a member of the National Guard Reserves.
Mr. Hayame was a graduate of Vacaville High School and loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Foreman of Fairfield; nephews, Timothy and Jeremy Foreman of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Tosh in 1986 and his mother, Sue in 1993.

Ronald Heise
A memorial service for Ronald Heise, 55, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Richmond.
Mr. Heise died Sept. 9, 2000, in a hospital in Fairfield.
He worked as an operator for the Chevron USA Refinery for 12 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman and a best friend to many who knew him. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who loved to work in his yard. He had a love of the outdoors and a love for animals, having left behind his golden retriever, Hammer.
Mr. Heise is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Marie of Richmond; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Carla of Benicia; sister, Janice Marie Exner of Indianapolis; niece, Jessica of Benicia; aunts, Gertrude Easton of Stockton, Lillian Taron and Barbara Kerber, both of Richmond, Lorraine Snow of Tucson, Ariz., and Sharon Barkulis of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and uncles, Herman Kerber of San Leandro, Richard Snow of Tucson and Chris Barkulis of Scottsdale.
