Leo Sandoval

A memorial service for Leo Sandoval, 74, of Suisun City, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Unity Church of the Valley, 350 N. Orchard Ave., Vacaville.

Pastor Vic Jenkins will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Sandoval died Oct. 26, 2000, in Suisun City.

Born May 26, 1926, in San Salvador, El Salvador, he resided in Suisun City for 12 years. He worked as a troubleshooter for United Airlines for 25 years. He enjoyed making furniture and playing baseball with his grandchildren.

Mr. Sandoval is survived by his wife of 42 years, Teresa; son, Leonel of Suisun City; daughters, Regina of Suisun City and Alyeda of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Roberto Edmundo and Leah Sandoval of Denver, Colo.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mario and Rosita of Daly City and Guiellermo and Gladys of Stockton; a niece and her husband, Marin and Jack Jackson of Redding; five grandchildren.

Contributions may be made in Mr. Sandoval's memory to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94589 or to The American Cancer Society, c/o Susan White, 1652 W. Texas St., Ste. 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements were handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Roy L. Stone

There were no services held for Roy L. Stone, 55, of Vacaville. Inunrment was private.

Mr. Stone died Oct. 22, 2000, at his home after a long illness.

Born Aug. 6, 1945, in Concord, he resided in Vacaville for more than 2 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired chef after working for 25 years for Chef Restaurants.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Christine of Vacaville; daughter, Debra Morrill of Roseville; sons, Andrew and Daniel of Vacaville and Phillip of Sacramento; mother, Verdie of Vacaville; sisters, Naja Hafbauer of Vacaville and Doris Hassler of Eureka; brothers, Jimmy of Chicago Park, Ill., Gerry of Post Falls, Idaho, Ron of McKinleyville and Rusty of Vacaville; eight grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Bonne Wyoma Abreu

A funeral for Bonne Wyoma Abreu, 72, of Davis, will be 10 a.m. Friday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Family members will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Abreu died Oct. 30, 2000, in Sierra Health Care Convalescent Hospital in Davis after a long illness.

Born Sept. 14, 1928, in Rawlands, Wyo., she moved to the area two years ago. She was a homemaker for 50 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Abreu is survived by her husband, Joseph, of Davis; daughters, Debbie Brown of Winters, Linda Catron of Sacramento and Alicia Beavers of Forbstown; a son, Joe Jr.; sisters, Betty Jones of Idaho, Beverly Sallinen of Fort Bragg, Sandra Bartley of El Dorado and Jo Kessinger of Ukiah; a brother, John Alameda of Nice; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Loedding, and a grandson, Jesse Brown.

Maryland Coleman

A funeral for Maryland Coleman, 81, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen CME Church. The Rev. William Larkin will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary.

Mrs. Coleman died Oct. 29, 2000, at a local hospital after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 2, 1919, in Collinsburg, La., she lived in Fairfield for the past two years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cummings Park CME Church in Menlo Park.

Mrs. Coleman is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Sammie and Thomas Moore of Modesto and Barbara and Frank Davis of Modesto; and sisters, Jimmie Barnett of Modesto, Augustine Trammell of Fairfield, and Cleo Davis of Stockton. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Louisiana to California.

Ernest W. Rodgers

Services and interment for Ernest W. Rodgers will be private. The Rev. George Pelham will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Mr. Rodgers died Oct. 31, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born June 20, 1919, in Oakland, he lived in Vacaville for the past four years. He worked for Martin/Madsen wholesale sheet metal for 12 years as a manager. He enjoyed golf and was a great neighborhood handyman and enjoyed helping his neighbors with "fix-it" jobs, as well as making repairs around his own home.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife of 10 years, Lorelei Brikovich-Rodgers; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Bridgette of Pleasanton; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Pat Bown of Antioch; and brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Rose of San Leandro. He also has three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ernie Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to NorthBay Alzheimer's Day Care, 2100 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, 94533; or to NorthBay Hospice, 1800 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, 94533.

Faith Beckwith

Services for Faith Beckwith of Stockton were held Oct. 30. Interment was at French Camp Cemetery.

Mrs. Beckwith died Oct. 24, 2000, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Hartford, Conn., she lived in Stockton for 23 years. She was owner and operator of At Your Service Resumes and was a notary public. She was a member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mothers of Twins, the Women's Success Group, and Bridges Family Counseling. She was also a member of Rhythm and Boots Dance Company, Harley owners organization, HOG. She was a 10-year breast cancer survivor.

Mrs. Beckwith is survived by her husband, Jerry Gass of Stockton; children, Ken Havens of Manteca, Anthony Decko, Michael and Matthew, all of Stockton, Lance of Lodi, and Wendy Gass and Jerry Gass, both of Modesto; mother, Phyllis Bieglow of Vacaville; and sisters, Grace Schick of Sacramento, Hope Nemie of Lodi and Jodi Johnson of Stockton. She also has 15 grandchildren.

Lucille Mimes Small

Graveside services for Lucille Mimes Small, 85, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Monday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Pastor Bud Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Mrs. Small died Nov. 1, 2000, in Vallejo.

She was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Natchitoches, La. She was employed by United Airlines in San Francisco for 20 years. She was also a member of the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center.

Mrs. Small is survived by her daughter, Julia Davis of Powhatan, La.; son, Alfred Owens of Pomona; grandchildren and their spouses, Emma Davis and Eddie Hawkins of San Francisco, Dorothy and Greg Hymes, Velma and Marvin Jones, and Javan and Gary Davis, all of Chicago, Roy and Marlin Davis of Tampa, Fla., Tommy and Joyce Davis of Natchitoches, and Willie Lee and Jacqueline Davis of Powhatan; and sister, Pearl H. Payne of Natchitoches. She also has many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal.

Kenneth Sybyst

A memorial service for Kenneth Sybyst, 63, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Stan Sanderson will officiate. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Sybyst died Nov. 1, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born March 9, 1937, in Chicago, he lived in Fairfield for the past 27 years. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an airlift control planner before retiring in 1976. He then went to work at Anheuser Busch as a quality control supervisor, where he retired in 1993. He loved fishing, camping and golf. He also enjoyed photography and music.

Mr. Sybyst is survived by wife, Marie of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Terry Gillenwater of Suisun; and grandchildren, Heather Townsend, Terry C. Gillenwater Jr. and Beau Gillenwater, all of Suisun. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Elizabeth Dennan

Services for Elizabeth Dennan, 50, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, with a vigil to at 7 p.m.

Ms. Dennan died Oct. 30, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born June 28, 1950, in Honolulu, she lived in Fairfield for the past 28 years. She had lived in Alameda before moving to Solano County. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a former member of the Legion of Mary. She was a collector of many things and family and church were very important to her.

Ms. Dennan is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Bob Gray of Fairfield; aunts, Gertrude Dennan and Rosemary Puzak, both of West Miffin, Pa.; and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Linda of Fairfield. She also has three nieces, a nephew, five grandnieces and two grandnephews.

Bernice D. Beaton

Services for Bernice D. Beaton, 64, of Suisun, are pending. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Beaton died Nov. 2, 2000, in Suisun after a brief illness.

Born May 19, 1936, in Arizona, she lived in Suisun for the past 13 years. She was general manager at Denny's Restaurant in Fairfield for 10 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Solano Yacht Club, Eagles Fire 4113 of Fairfield and Moose Lodge, No. 861, of Fairfield.

Mrs. Beaton is survived by her husband, John of Suisun; daughter, Doris Young of Hanford; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Leonard Minor of Port Orchard, Wash.; sons, Jim Brown of Los Angeles and John Brown of Port Orchard, Wash.; sisters, Patricia Pittman of Charleston, W.Va., and Midge Jarvis of Charleston, W.Va.; and brothers, Rust Cook of Port Orchard, Wash., Eric Cook of Los Angeles, and Bill Cook of Phoenix. She also has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Joseph Robert Dubon

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Robert Dubon, 65, of Suisun will be 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Dubon died Nov. 3, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center.

Born Aug. 21, 1934, in El Salvador, he lived in Suisun for the past 11 years. He worked as a registered nurse, most recently at Napa State Hospital. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid gardener, a soccer fan, he loved reading and he most loved fixing cars.

Mr. Dubon is survived by his wife, Maria of Suisun; daughters, Jessica of Albany and Erika of Suisun; son, Robert of Sonoma; brothers, Manuel and Anselmo of South San Francisco; sisters, Lidia and Anna of San Francisco; and mother, Matilde of San Francisco. He also has three grandchildren.

George W. Haddad

A memorial service for George W. Haddad, 85, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairmont Memorial Chapel. Pastor Rick Stonestreet will officiate. Inurnment will follow.

Mr. Haddad died Oct. 24, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Dec. 14, 1914, in San Francisco, he lived in Fairfield for the past 32 years. She worked in civil service as a painter at Travis Air Force Base for 36 years. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Haddad is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rose Jan Meyer of Citrus Heights; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Valerie and Dale Miller of Lodi and Tracy and Wade Bell of Virginia; granddaughter, Terri Meyer of Sacramento; and great-grandsons, Jared and Braden Miller of Lodi. He also has six stepchildren, 27 step grandchildren, and more than 50 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA, P.O. Box 356, Vacaville 95696.

James C. Mock

A Mass of Christian Burial for James C. Mock, 74, of Davis will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Davis. The Rev. Ray Bersabal will officiate. Burial will be at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Mock died Nov. 2, 2000, after an extended struggle with Parkinson's Disease and emphysema.

Born March 26, 1926, in Santa Rosa, he lived in Yolo County for 22 years. His military duty included two years in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. He always spoke of his luck to have been on the staff of Admiral Nimitz in Guam. A four-year re-enlistment from 1948 to 1952 placed him as a Yeoman 2nd class on the legal staff at San Point, Seattle. He was a graduate of San Jose State University and earned his master's degr4ee in social work at the University of Southern California. He was a dedicated employee of the State of California until his retirement in 1988.

Mr. Mock is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Bernice Mock; children, James of Ukiah, Diane of Yakima, Wash., Suzanne of Eureka, and Heidi of Yakima, Wash.; stepchildren, Sandra Foley and Juila Foley of Redding, and Doug Foley Jr. of San Diego; grandchildren, Nicole and Aaron Edmondson of Redding, Christopher Foley of Centerline, Mich., and Doug Foley III of San Diego; and sisters, Drusilla (Mildred) Belling of Danville, Mary Conley of Santa Rosa, and Patricia of Danville. He also has numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Guy, Evelyn, Frances and George.

Grace V. Pugh

At her request, there will be no formal services for Grace V. Pugh, 85, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Pugh died Nov. 1, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born Nov. 15, 1914, in Union City, Pa., she lived in Vacaville for the past 28 years. She owned and managed apartments in the area for 13 years and was a member of the Rebeccas' and the Pocahontas'.

Mrs. Pugh is survived by her husband of 34 years, Leslie; daughters, Sandra J. Lamb of Jacksonville, Fla, Leslie A Adkins of Santee, and Laura D. Pugh-Torres of Felicity, Ohio; sister-in-law, Nina Harper of Paradise; and nieces, Shirley Crooks of Magalia and Charmaine Thompson of Dallas. She also has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by McCune Garden Chapel.
