Jean Evelyn Edelstain Schlosser
A memorial service for Jean Evelyn Edelstain Schlosser, 81, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Leisure Town Rotunda Building in Vacaville.
Mrs. Schlosser died Oct. 30, 2000, after long illness.
Born June 26, 1919, in Elizabeth, N.J., she lived in Newark, N.J., Hillside, N.J., and Pinole before moving to the Leisure Town area more than 15 years ago. She worked for many years as an examiner for the Internal Revenue Service in Newark, N.J. She later helped introduce the food stamp program to grocers for the Department of Agriculture. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, sewing, knitting and gardening.
Mrs. Schlosser is survived by her daughter, Judith of Oakland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, sister, Molly of El Cajon, and brother, Bernard of Skokie, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
William Wallacker
At his request, there will be no services for William Wallacker, 89, of Vacaville.
Mr. Wallacker died Oct. 8, 2000, in Vacaville.
Born Feb. 17, 1911, in Grand Forks, N.D., he spend the first several years of his life on the family farm near Plentywood, Mont. In 190, he moved west with his family to the Seattle area, where his father had a photography studio. After other moves throughout the county, he finally settled in California.
Mr. Wallacker is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Samuel Wilson; son, William W. Jr. of Martinez; and son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Teresa of Suisun City. He also has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Victoria.
Arrangements are being handled by McCune Garden Chapel.
Essie Mae Winston
No services will be held for Essie Mae Winston, 83, of Vacaville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Winston died Oct. 31, 2000, after a long illness.
Born Aug. 24, 1917, in Clayton, N.C., she was married in 1937. Her husband, Walter, enlisted in the military and his assignments took them to Kwajalein, Hawaii, Scotland, Germany, and other military posts in the United States. She had many friend in the Solano area and her hobbies with them included doll making, china painting and bridge.
Mrs. Winston is survived by her son, Gene; granddaughter, Ann; and great-grandchildren, Jason and Antoinette, all of the Solano County area; brothers, Dave Pollard of Laguna Woods and Myatt Pollard of Durham, N.C.; and niece, Camilla Rick of Durham, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Jean L. Iwanejko
A service for Jean L. Iwanejko, 79, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Interment at Lafayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, Pa., will be private.
Mrs. Iwanejko died Nov. 4, 2000 after an illness.
Born March 12, 1921 in Republic, Pa., she lived in Fairfield for the past 42 years. She was a former resident of Havana, Cuba and Mexico City.
Mrs. Iwanejko worked for the U.S. Government in civil service as a base crew advisor. She was president and founder of North Wind Quilters of Fairfield, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and was a worldwide traveler.
She is remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Iwanejko is survived by her daughters Kathy Stogner of Vacaville, Sandie Tarp of Grass Valley, Denise Bratt of Boise, Kim Moffatt of Fairfield and Debbie Hitzeman of Vacaville; brother Merwin Lyons of Youngstown, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Iwanekjo.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fisher House, c/o Military Community Health Care Foundation, 831 Alamo Dr., Suite 6B, Vacaville.

Estella Weber Brown
A service for Dixon native Estella Weber Brown, 81, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon. Interment will follow at Silveyville Cemetery. Ms. Brown died Nov. 3, 2000, in Sacramento.
Born Feb. 18, 1919, in Dixon, she lived in Dixon for 18 years before moving to Sacramento. She was an office supervisor for the California Department of Justice for 25 years.
Ms. Brown was a member of the YWCA, Sacramento German Genealogy Society and the American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed sewing and playing the piano.
Ms. Brown is survived by her son, Robert of Sacramento, and brother, Frank R. Weber of San Carlos. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.
Montford 'Monte' R. Bryan
A memorial service for Montford "Monte" R. Bryan, 86, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 9th and Dolores St. in Carmel.
Mr. Bryan died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, after a long illness.
He was born in San Benito County on Nov. 14, 1913, and grew up near Hollister. He attended school near the small town of Paicines.
Mr. Bryan attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he met his wife-to-be, Barbara Kennedy. They graduated in 1938 and were married October of the same year. They were married 63 years.
The Bryans had their first child while living in Carmel. Since then, they lived in Lodi, Chino, Landcaster, Tracy, and Vacaville.
They moved back to Carmel 18 years ago to retire.
Mr. Bryan hiked the hills of Garland Park in Carmel Valley almost daily until his health prevented such activity. His love for the outdoors was apparent throughout his lifetime. He was a hunter, fisherman, camper, bicyclist, traveler and artist. He enjoyed drawing, wood and stone sculpture and attended classes for woodcarving at the Carmel Foundation.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Monte Jr. of Hollister; three daughters, Joannie Mehring of Tracy, Patty Harrington of Benicia and Ginger Riehl of King City; three brothers, Loren, Bowden, Donald; a sister, Mona; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Mackay and Rex.
He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Carmel. Donations may be made to All Saint's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 1296, Carmel, CA 93921, a local Cancer Society or selected charity.
James Merle Davis
A private memorial service for James Merle Davis, 78, of Fairfield, will be held by the family. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.
Mr. Davis died Nov. 3, 2000, in Sunbridge Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.
Born Jan. 20, 1922, in Sacramento, he lived in Fairfield for two years. During World War II, he served in the Merchant Marines for five years, and worked for the city of Fairfield as a foreman in the Parks and Recreation Department for 20 years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Fairfield for 10 years.
Mr. Davis lived in Fairfield for 25 years, then moved to Newcastle where he lived for approximately 21 years before returning to Fairfield.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Antoinette of Fairfield; daughters, Julie Keefer of Lincoln and Jean of Roseville; a son, James A. of Newcastle; a sister, Betty of Paradise; a brother, Robert of Sacramento; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ralph Noble McNeely
A Catholic Prayer service for Ralph Noble McNeely, 91, of Seattle, Wash., will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly will preside. Interment will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Mr. McNeely died Oct. 27, 2000, in Seattle, Wash., after a short illness.
Born April 1, 1909, in Spokane, Wash., he lived in Leisure Town for 19 years before moving to Seattle, Wash., three months ago. He worked for the U.S. Navy as a Government Intelligence Analyst. He loved to travel, dabble in photography and tinker with car engines.
Mr. McNeely is survived by his daughter, Diane Carringer of Seattle, Wash.; a grandson, James Carringer of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Robert of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a sister, Catherine Mathis of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a grandson, Scott Sinclair of Vacaville; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline, and his daughter, Janet Sinclair.
A visitation will be noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCune Garden Chapel.

James C. Mock
A Mass of Christian Burial for James C. Mock, 74, of Davis will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in Davis.
The Rev. Ray Bersabal will officiate. Burial will be at the San Joaquin National Cemetery
in Gustine. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Mock died Nov. 2, 2000, after an extended struggle with Parkinson's Disease and emphysema.
Born March 26, 1926, in Santa Rosa, he lived in Yolo County for 22 years. His military duty included two years in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. He always spoke of his luck to have been on the staff of Admiral Nimitz in Guam.
A four-year re-enlistment from 1948 to 1952 placed him as a Yeoman 2nd class on the legal staff at San Point in Seattle.
He was a graduate of San Jose State University and earned his master's degree in social work at the University of Southern California. He was a dedicated employee of the State of California until his retirement in 1988.
Mr. Mock is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Bernice; children, James of Ukiah, Diane of Yakima, Wash., Suzanne of Eureka, and Heidi of Yakima, Wash.; stepchildren, Sandra Foley and Juila Foley of Redding, and Doug Foley Jr. of San Diego; grandchildren, Nicole and Aaron Edmondson of Redding, Christopher Foley of Centerline, Mich., and Doug Foley III of San Diego; and sisters, Drusilla (Mildred) Belling of Danville, Mary Conley of Santa Rosa, and Patricia of Danville. He also has numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Guy, Evelyn, Frances and George.
Michael Albert Raymond
A funeral service for Michael Albert Raymond, 38, of Oakland, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Raymond died Nov. 5, 2000, in the Guardian Medical Home in Oakland after a sudden illness.
Born Aug. 17, 1962, in Sonoma, he lived in Oakland for five years.
Mr. Raymond is survived by his parents, Albert and Barbara of Vacaville; a sister, Cheryl Bryant of Vacaville; brothers, David and Gerald of Vacaville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
