George T. Catabay

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for George T. Catabay, 96, of Fairfield at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Rev. Felipe Paraguya will officiate. Interment will be at Suisun Fairfield Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Mr. Catabay died Nov. 8, 2000 at Sunbridge La Mariposa Convalescent Hospital after a short illness.

Born Aug. 16, 1904, in Bani, Pangasinan, The Philippines, he lived in Fairfield for the past 73 years. He worked for the Hale Ranch for 37 years, worked for Armijo and Fairfield high schools as a gardener for 7 1/2 years and as a gardener at the Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma for 22 years.

Mr. Catabay is survived by his wife of 48 years, Milagros of Fairfield; son, Dominic of Suisun; and sisters-in-law, Teresita Parel and Dolores Bautista, both of Vallejo.

Helen E. Drager

A funeral for Helen E. Drager, 81, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Orchard Avenue Baptist Church. Pastor Ken Doan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Vacaville Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Drager died Nov. 9, 2000, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Aug. 26, 1919, in Paris, Texas, she lived in Vacaville for 40 years. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross at David Grant Medical Center for 18 years and was a devoted homemaker. She was a long-time member of the Orchard Avenue Baptist Church.

Mrs. Drager enjoyed traveling, reading and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Drager is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Rich Weber of Elk Grove; son, Rick of Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Kerry Drager and Mary Summers of Wilton; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Drager's memory to the Orchard Avenue Baptist Church, 301 N. Orchard Ave., Vacaville 95688.

Arrangements are being handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Ross Franklin May

A funeral service for Ross Franklin May, 70, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker funeral Home. State Patriarch Louis Webb will officiate. Mr. May will be given full military honors at a private inurnment at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. May died Nov. 9, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a long illness.

Born March 13, 1930, in Lytton Springs, Caldwell County, Texas, he lived in Fairfield for the past 35 years. Mr. May served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, from 1950 to 1971. While in the Air Force, he served as a flight engineer. He retired as a techinical sergeant on March 13, 1971. He then worked in Civil Service as a electromotive supervisor both at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and the Concord Naval Weapons Station. His hobbies and interests included his family, singing, history, cooking, reading and story telling.

Mr. May is survived by his wife, Alice of Fairfield; daughters, Carla White, Sharon Samo and Keri Golden of Fairfield, and Debra May of San Jose; son and daughter-in-law, Norbert and Leslie May of Chico; son, Thierry May of Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Walter Schuelke of Lockhart, Texas; sister, Jody Hoover of Seguin, Texas; sister-in-law, Ermine May of Lockhart, Texas; and aunts, Loney West of Gonzales, Texas, and Lillian May of San Antonio, Texas. He also has 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Eva Mae Meyer

Graveside services for Eva Mae Meyer, 62, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Meyer died Nov. 4, 2000, in El Cajon after a long illness.

Born Sept. 25, 1935, in Utah, she lived in El Cajon the past three years, residing in Vacaville before that. Mrs. Meyer was a homemaker all her adult life.

She is survived by daughter, Norma Hanson of West Jordan, Utah; sons, Gordon Hernandez of San Fancisco and Anthony Love of San Diego; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, in 1993.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Thomas Leslie Munro

A Celebration of Life for Thomas Leslie Munro, 82, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. The Rev. William Feeser and the Rev. Dr. C. Richard DuFresne will officiate. Inurnment was in Kona, Hawaii.

Mr. Munro died Oct. 9, 2000, in Kona, after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 31, 1917, in San Francisco, he lived in Kona the past 26 years. He was the owner/operator of Munro's Tax and Bookeeping Service in Kona for 15 years. Prior to residing in Kona, he and his family lived in Millbrae and San Mateo. During his early years, he served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the F. & A.M. Lodge, as well as the Elks Lodge.

Mr. Munro is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cecelia of Kona; daughter, Deborah Nadeau of Vacaville; son, David Munro of Newport, Va.; and grandchildren, Ryan Barry of San Luis Obispo, Lauren Barry of Sacramento, and Rob Munro of Harrisonburg, Va. He was proceeded in death by his son, Keith James Munro in 1955.<\#026>

Merel May Vogelgesang

A Mass of Christian Burial for Merel May Vogelgesang, 78, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly will officiate. Burial will be at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Vaca Hills Chapel.

Mrs. Vogelgesang died Nov. 9, 2000, at Sierra Solano Care Center in Davis after a long illness.

Born March 15, 1922, in St. Louis she moved to the area 10 years ago. She was a homemaker for 58 years. She was a past member of the Leisure Town Swing Club and Yoga Club.

Mrs. Vogelgesang is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Orville and Katherine of Vacaville; brother, Joseph Newdeck of St. Louis ; and grandchildren, Orville of Vacaville and Alicia Wilson of Fairfield.

Purificacion 'Rina' Williams

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Purificacion 'Rina' Williams, 65, of Dixon at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peters Catholic Church in Dixon. The Reverend Maurice O'Brien will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams died Nov. 10, 2000.

She was born Jan. 31, 1935 in the Phillippines.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Lenny Hadley of Toronto, Canada; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Manny Garcia of Dixon; grandchildren Carol Anne Hadley of Toronto and Lorenzo Mercado of Dixon; sisters Beatriz Pasion of Toronto and Teresita Calma of Japan; brother Jose David of Los Angeles; and numerous family members and friends in the Phillippines.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville, with a Rosary at 6 p.m.

Arrangements are being handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Mildred I. Brais

Graveside services for Mildred I. Brais, 77, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Brais died Nov. 11, 2000, in Laurel Creek, Fairfield.

Born Oct. 20, 1923, in Jeanette, Pa., she lived in Fairfield and Sonoma County for 22 years. She was a homemaker and a 1941 graduate of Jeanette High School. She was a member of the Air Force Wives Auxiliary.

Mrs. Brais is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Ellen of Calistoga; a sister, Betty Riddle of Greensburg, Pa; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield 94533.

Otha Sapp

A funeral for Otha Sapp, 81, of Fairfield/Vallejo will 11 a.m. today at Friendship Baptist Church in Vallejo.

The Rev. Joseph Flowers will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Sapp died Nov. 6, 2000, after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 19, 1919, in Louisiana, she lived in Faifield and Vallejo and had a career in education.

Mrs. Sapp is survived by a daughter, Beverly of Fairfield; sons, Ben and Adges, both of Fairfield; a sister, Idell Gray of Oakgrove, La.; a brother, Leon Allen of Houston; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held Monday in Solano Valley Motuary.

Vern Virgel Seabolt

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Vern Virgel Seabolt, 87, of Vacaville.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon will preside. Interment will follow at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa.

Mr. Seabolt died Nov. 11, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born Jan. 31, 1913, in Tulsa, Okla., he lived in Vacaville. He worked for several years in the sawmills in Westwood and Ukiah and later for Southern Pacific in Richmond. After his retirement, he worked for 10 years at a winery in Napa. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Mr. Seabolt is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dorothy; daughters and sons-in-law, Imagene and Tom Morgan, and Lucy and Richard Chandler, all of Vacaville and a daughter, Connie Solcum of Vacaville.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Merel Mae Vogelgesang

A Mass of Christian Burial for Merel Mae Vogelgesang, 78, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly will officiate.
