Kenneth Daryl King

A memorial mass for Kenneth Daryl King, 78, of Las Cruces, N.M., will be held in New Mexico on Monday. A prayer vigil will also be held there Sunday. Inurnment of Mr. King's cremains with full military honors will be Monday at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in New Mexico.

Mr. King died Nov. 17, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center in New Mexico.

Born Feb. 6, 1922, in Vacaville, he retired from his job as a computer specialist at the White Sands Missile Range in 1974. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, with service in Guam. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1226, AARP, and National of Federal Employees. He also had a love for genealogy and was a member of the local Genealogy Club.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, Patricia Arnold King; sons, Joseph Lawrence of Tulsa, Okla., John Diego of Vacaville, and Mark Andrew of Fairfield; daughter, Virginia Rasco of Denten, Texas; and brother, Dayl Walton of Fairfield. He also has seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are being handled by Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Mimbres Crematory in New Mexico.

Daniel 'Dutch' Mashburn

A graveside service for Daniel 'Dutch' Mashburn, 81, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rockville Cemetery. Pastor Glen Green will officiate. Interment will follow at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Mr. Mashburn died Nov. 16, 2000, at Sunbridge Care Center in Vallejo after a short illness.

Born Dec. 22, 1918, in Lufkin, Texas, he returned to Fairfield one year ago after having lived in Porterville for 20 years. He lived in Fairfield for 43 years before the move. He worked in the construction field for more than 40 years, working for various contractors, including Syars and Teichert & Son. He was a member of the Laborer & Hod Carrier Union, No. 326, since the early 1950s.

Mr. Mashburn is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doyle of Fairfield; and sons, Duane Zander of Grass Valley and Ed Zander of Medford, Ore. He also has seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Edna J. Salinas

A memorial service for Edna J. Salinas, 81, (a.k.a. Pat Copperstone) of Fairfield will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. The Rev. Margaret Merry will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Salinas died Nov. 19, 2000, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born June 4, 1919, in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Fairfield for the past 36 years. She worked for Food Fair Market and Manual Campos as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. She loved to garden, do needlework, and was an excellent cook.

Mrs. Salinas is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Scally of Fairfield; and sons, Julian Richard and Michael Bernard, both of Fairfield. She also has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Fairfield 94533.

Chester Franklin Shans Sr.

At his request, no formal services will be held for Chester Franklin Shans Sr., 84, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Shans died Nov. 22, 2000, at Sunbridge Care Center.

Born November 28, 1915 in Texas. He lived in Fairfield for the past 45 years. He was a 21-year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the Army Air Corps and the Air Force. He worked as a Ham Radio Operator during World War II in the 2nd Infantry Division of the European Theater. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Community United Methodist Church.

Mr. Shans is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Urban and Nicoalas Coetzee of Ventura; son, Chester Franklin Jr. of Niwot, Colo.; and grandchildren, Holly and her husband, Tom Gregory of Fairfield, Christopher of Bellingham, Wash., and Patrick of San Jose.

William G. Henrich

A memorial service for William G. Henrich, 78, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Lester Seto will officiate. Burial will be private at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Henrich died Nov. 24, 2000, in Winsor House Convalescent Hospital in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Dec. 6, 1921, in San Francisco, he moved to the area six years ago. He worked as a production mechanic for American Can Company for 30 years.

Mr. Henrich is survived by his wife, Georgia of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Daon and Sue of Vacaville; daughter, Joan of Newark; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Neil E. and Cindy Thatcher of Colorado, and Tim P. and Carla Thatcher of Dublin; stepdaughter, Cindy A. Thatcher of Vacaville; and daughter-in-law, Marie Pierre of Colorado. He also has 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Pail Thatcher, and brother, John Edward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are being handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Matheu 'Matt' Mason

A memorial service for Matheu "Matt" Mason, 26, of Bay Point will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Higgins Chapel in Antioch. Inurnment will be private at Oak View Memorial Park in Antioch.

Mr. Higgins died Nov. 22, 2000, in Pittsburg, as the result of a homicide.

Born Feb. 6, 1974, in Antioch, he lived in Bay Point for the past eight years after having lived in Vacaville for 17 years before then. He worked as a painter for seven years with Mingus Painting after having worked for Tosco as an asbestos remover and working as a painter with 21st Century Painting. His hobbies included fishing, horse shoes and camping.

Mr. Higgins is survived by his companion of seven years, Jackie Johnson of Bay Point; daughter, Jasmine of Bay Point; stepdaughter, Jodee of Bay Point; stepsons, Jesse and Jason, both of Bay Point; father an stepmother, Marc and Carol of Dunnigan; mother, Pamela Blaine of Antioch; sisters, Brandi Topham of Grand Junction, Colo., and Desiree Stever of Dunnigan; brothers, Mark Brown of Walla Walla, Wash., and Buddy of Loraine, Ohio; and grandparents, Ray and Nedra Stewart of Stockton.

Peter Cisneros

A memorial service for Peter Cisneros, 51, of Fairfield will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Cisneros died Nov. 24, 2000 after a long illness.

Born April 19, 1949 in Richmond, he lived in Fairfield for the past six years. He worked as a pipefittter for Timec for 14 years. He also owned his own hauling business in Colorado. He was a member of the Victory Chapel in Colorado Springs.

Mr. Cisneros is survived by his wife, Carmen, of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law Reyna and Salvador Gonzales of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law Manuel and Charmaine of Fairfield; mother and stepfather Louise and Joseph Anderson of Colorado Springs; brothers Mark of Fairfield, Ricky of Taos, N.M., and Robbie of Colorado Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Ruth Anderson and Joseph and Laurie Anderson of Colorado Springs; sister and brother-in-law Carrie and Gary Rinehart of Colorado Springs; and six grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his daughter, Wisa, in 1992.

Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Maria Delcarmen Guzman

A visitation for Maria Delcarmen Guzman, 51, of Vacaville will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Vaca Hills Chapel, Vacaville. Burial will be in Buena Vista, Mexico.

Mrs. Guzman died Nov. 22, 2000 after a long illness.

Born May 24, 1949 in Mexico, she moved to this area 21 years ago. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Guzman is survived by her husband, Robert, of Vacaville, children Jesus, Gilberto, Jorge, Adriana and Robert, Jr., all of Vacaville; two sisters; three brothers; and 11 grandchildren.

Arrangements being handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

William G. Henrich

Darrell Ellis Buell

Services for Darrell Ellis Buell, 79, of Vacaville, will be private.

Mr. Buell died Nov. 26, 2000.

Born April 4, 1921, in Myrtle Creek, Ore., he lived in Vacaville for four years. He was in the Navy Seabees and worked as a construction superintendent for 45 years. He was a member of the Sons in Retirement, the Christian Church of Vacaville, the Carpenters Union of Martinez, and the Leisure Town Garden Homes I Organization. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening.

Mr. Buell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret A. of Vacaville; daughter, Cheryl L. Afflerbach of Chico; sister, Joyce Simpson of Oregon; brothers, Kenneth of Nevada and Royal of Oregon; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Hospice.

Arrangements were handled by Neptune Society of Northern California, Fairfield.

Jennie Ciruso

Services for Jennie Ciruso, 85, of Fairfield will be private.

Mrs. Ciruso died Nov. 17, 2000, after a long illness.

Born in Pennsylvania, she was a resident of Fairfield for 11 years and of Upland and Ontario for 35 years. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years. She loved music and dancing and was a crochet artisan.

Mrs. Ciruso is survived by her daughter, Marilyn of Fairfield; son, Paul of Lancaster; granddaughters, Maureen and Charlene of Fairfield; great-grandson, Kyle of Fairfield; siblings, Tony Colosimo of Bentleyville, Pa., Joseph Colosimo of West Newton, Pa., Eleanor Colosimo of Monesson, Pa. and Wilhelmina Dempsey of Fontana.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements were handled by Neptune Society, Fairfield.

Marjorie Williams Kellogg

There will be no services for Marjorie Williams Kellogg, 83, of Santa Rosa. Inurnment will be with her husband at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.

Mrs. Kellogg died Nov. 12, 2000, in her home.

Born May 27, 1917, in New York, she lived in Sonoma County for 21 years. In earlier years, she taught English overseas for three years, worked with the American Red Cross and was a Realtor in Marin County. In later years, she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kellogg is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James P. Jr. and Wendy Wasserman-Kellogg of Vacaville; daughter, Molly D. Roeder of Concord; grandchildren, Logan and Rebecca of Vacaville and Wendy Roeder; sister, Herminie Gaskins of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; nieces and nephews, Lydia Kind of Mt. Laurel, Kelly Gaskins of Bristol, Pa., Elizabeth McKelvey of Lansdale, Pa. and Fred Gaskins of Douglassville, Pa.

Donations may be made to Canine Companions for Independence or Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society of Northern California, Santa Rosa.
