Guenn Vivian Mahoney

A Mass of the Ressurection will be celebrated for Guenn Vivian Mahoney, 86, of Vacaville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Father Benedict DeLeon will officiate. Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Mahoney died Dec. 8 in her home after a long illness.

Born May 24, 1914 in Detroit, Mich., she lived in Vacaville for the past 11 years. Mrs. Mahoney was a homemaker her adult life. She was a member and very active at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Mahoney leaves no survivors.

Friends may call for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Mahoney's name to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Ave., Vacaville 95688.

Charles G. Watkins

A memorial service for Charles G. Watkins, 83, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stake Center in Fairfield. Entombment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Watkins died Dec. 7, 2000, after a long illness.

Born March 6, 1917, in Lethbridge, Canada, he lived in Fairfield for the past 35 years. He was raised on a farm and worked in the CCC Camps to provide for his guardians. He then joined the U.S. Air Force as a paymaster, serving active duty from 1946 to 1967. He then served 17 years of Civil Service at Travis Air Force Base in 1984. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed playing the trumpet and singing.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Betty Jane of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Dale Miller of Dixon; daughter, Amy of Salt Lake City; son, Gordon of Salt Lake City; and sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Susan of Sacramento, and Mark and Tammy of Osmond, Wyo. He also has a sister, 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Apolonia P. Albacete

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated for Apolonia P. Albacete, 73, of Vacaville at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Oscar Gutierrez will officiate. Entombment will follow in Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Mrs. Albacete died Dec. 10, 2000, in her Vacaville home.

Born March 6, 1927, in Spain, she lived in Vacaville for the past 42 years. She was employed seasonally at Basic Vegetable Products for 20 years. She was a member of the McBride Senior Center.

Mrs. Albacete is survived by her husband of 51 years, Antonio of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Jim Kelly of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Vickie Albacete of Vacaville; sisters, Luisa Lopez of Spain and Isabel Aguilera of France; brothers, Ramon and Cristobal Pinero of Spain; a granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Brian O'Leary of Vacaville; grandchildren, Anthony and Emily Kelly of Vacaville; and a great-grandson, Michael O'Leary of Vacaville.

A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Nadeau Family Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 West Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533; or the Arthritis Foundation, 3040 Explorer Drive, Sacramento.

Lillian DeFoe

A graveside service for Lillian DeFoe, 87, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Friday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

The Rev. William Feeser of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. DeFoe died Dec. 10, 2000.

Born March 21, 1913, in County Cork, Ireland, she lived in Vacaville prior to moving to Fairfield. She enjoyed taking trips to Reno.

Mrs. DeFoe is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Bobby Campbell of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law Charles R. and Janice of Detroit; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McCune Garden Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94590.

Charlotte Bedy Kieckhaefer

A funeral for Charlotte Bedy Kieckhaefer, 63, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 480 Wrentham Drive, Vacaville.

Bishop David McClellan will officiate. Inurnment will be at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gutsine.

Mrs. Kieckhaefer died Dec. 8, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, following a long illness.

Born Aug. 24, 1937, in Budapest, Hungary, she lived in Dixon for 13 years. She was a homemaker for 41 years.

Mrs. Kieckhaefer is survived by her husband, Robert of Dixon; son, John Louis Smutko of Simi Valley; her mother, Charlotte Bedy of Westland, Mich.; sisters, Maria Vizi of Livonia, Mich. and Klara Villasi of Manhattan, Kan.; brothers, Zoltan Bedy of Syracuse, N.Y. and Louis C. Bedy Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Mercedes C. Rios

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mercedes C. Rios, 81, of Hercules will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

Mrs. Rios died Dec. 11, 2000, after a short illness.

Born Sept. 24, 1919, in Manila, Phillippine Islands, she lived in Fairfield for 21 years, moving to Hercules one year ago. She retired after 17 years as a claims clerk for Blue Shield of California. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, enjoyed helping with church gatherings, and was a volunteer at the Suisun-Fairfield Senior Center.

Mrs. Rios is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Caring and Rosendo Tabtab of Daly City; nephews, Rogelio Garcia of San Pablo and Antonio Chaves of the Phillippine Islands; and caregiver and close friend, Leslie Cron of Fairfield.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Minnie R. Fox

A memorial service for Minnie R. Fox, 76, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Vacaville.

Pastor Lester Seto will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Fox died Dec. 10, 2000, in Fairfield.

Born May 10, 1924, in East Greenwich, R.I., she was a longtime resident of Vacaville. She worked for several years as a school crossing guard for the city of Vacaville. She was a member of the FISH program at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Fox is survived by her husband, Jerry of Vacaville; daughters, Ann Lathrop and Sandra White, both of Pacific Grove; a son, David Cavsint of Pacific Grove; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Fox's memory to The American Cancer Society, 1652 West Texas St., Ste. 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements were by McCune Garden Chapel.

Ed McDaniel

At his request, no services will be held for Ed McDaniel, 50, of Henrieville, Utah. Interment will be private.

Mr. McDaniel died Dec. 7, 2000.

Born July 30, 1950, in Bloomfield, New Mexico, he moved to Dixon following graduation from high school in Banks, Ore. While in Dixon, he spent many years working with Ron Dorries in the hay business. He moved to Henrieville in 1972.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of 28 years, Velma of Henrieville; daughters, Trinity of Vacaville, Tracy of Henrieville and daughter and son-in-law Tina and Luis Hernandez of Dixon; grandchildren, Caden of Dixon and Cira Hernandez of Dixon; his father, Elmer of Navajo Dam, New Mexico; a sister, Betty Jones of Navajo Dam and a sister and brother-in-law, Geri and Dennis Boren of Zowolle, La.; a brother, Jim of Tropic, Utah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and JoAnne of Aztec, New Mexico and Tom and Teresa of Navajo Dam; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Nola Dorries of Vacaville; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Lewis and sister, Fern McDaniel.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society by calling 1-800-227-2345 FREE.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Ona Mae Moats

A funeral for Ona Mae Moats, 78, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Friday in Rockville Chapel.

Pastor Milton Steck will officiate. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Moats died Dec. 11, 2000, in Mt. Diablo Medical Center, Concord, after a short illness.

Born March 31, 1922, in Ada, Okla., she lived in Fairfield since 1942. She worked as a transportation driver for Travis Air Force Base Civil Service for 20 years. She loved to play bingo.

Mrs. Moats is survived by her husband, Milton Jr. of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelba and Lew Lancaster of Fairfield, Sandra and Lanny Capp of Gordon Valley; a daughter, Cheryl Levesque of Fairfield; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Chris Harrison of Vacaville; a son, Milton "Richard" of Fairfield; a sister, Shirley Sparks of Fairfield; brothers, Frank Bottoms of Vacaville, Clyde Bottoms of Clinton, Mo., Ernest Bottoms of Rancho Cordova and Ed Sweeney of Oroville; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Fairfield Funeral Home.

Ima Jean Neese

A private, graveside service for Ima Jean Neese, 74, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. today in Exeter.

Mrs. Neese died Dec. 9, 2000, after a short illness.

Born Sept. 3, 1926, in Exeter, she lived in Vacaville 32 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, gardening, decorating her home and shopping.

Mrs. Neese is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sandra of Fairfield; a granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Aaron Ledford; and great-grandchildren, Tawny, Casey, Lauren and Drew Ledford.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Society, 817 Missouri St., Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Douglas D. Duncan

Private family services will be held for Douglas D. Duncan, 93, of Vacaville.

Born July 12, 1907, in Vacaville, Mr. Duncan died Dec. 10, 2000, at Live Oak Manor in Live Oak.

He lived in Vacaville for 51 years.

Mr. Duncan was a retired petroleum distributor and a life member of the Marysville Lodge of Elks, No. 783; the California Alumni Association of Berkeley; the Enterprise Lodge No. 70; F.& A.M. of Yuba City; York Rite Masonic Bodies of Yuba City; and Ben Ali Temple of the Shrine of Sacramento.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He is survived by sons, Jack of San Jose and Jerry of Loomis; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve.
