Grace Emily-Lynne Keaster

A funeral for newborn Grace Emily-Lynne Keaster will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Gallaher will officiate. Interment will be private. Friends may call at 6 p.m. Wednesday for visitation at the funeral home.

Grace died Dec. 10, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo the day she was born.

Grace is survived by her parents, Frank and Kara of Vacaville; sister, Hannah of Vacaville; brothers, Shane and Clay, both of Vacaville; maternal grandmother, Carol Herron of Tuscon, Ariz.; maternal grandfather, Patrick Herron of Lolo, Mont.; and paternal grandmother, Emily V. of Delta Junction, Alaska. She also has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Vacaville Christian School, 1117 Davis St., Vacaville 95687, or to the Crossroads Christian Church, 190 Butcher Rd., Vacaville 95687, both to benefit the building fund.

Jesse D. Santos

A funeral service for Jesse D. Santos, 42, of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will preside. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Fairfield.

Mr. Santos died Dec. 10, 2000 in Fairfield after a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 5, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas, he lived in Fairfield for 7 years. He was a forklift operator at Owens-Illinois in Fairfield.

Mr. Santos is survived by his wife, Frances of Fairfield; children, Felisha, Michael, Jesse F. and David, all of Fairfield; mother, Maria D. of Guam; sisters and brothers, Annie S. Aguon of Fairfield, Rose S. Cruz, of Guam, Jodi Ann of Guam, Norbert D. of San Diego, David D. of Germany and Henry D. Jr. of Guam; numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry S.N. Santos.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Arrangements were handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Vester 'Rusty' Tamplen

A funeral for Vester "Rusty" Tamplen, 87, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. Interment will be at Silveyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Tamplen died Dec. 13, 2000, in Winters after a long illness.

Born July 7, 1913, in Oklahoma, he lived in Dixon and Winters for the past 60 years. He worked for more than 20 years with Mace Meat Company as a butcher before retiring. He was always interested in baseball. In the early 1950s, he and his wife, Ida, founded the first local Babe Ruth League in Dixon. He also enjoyed planting and growing a big garden every year. He also enjoyed fishing and, in recent years, his true passion was spending time with his great-grandchildren.

Mr. Tamplen is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Rose of Winters; and daughters, Georgia Geronimo of Overland Park, Kan., and Patricia Martin of Chico. He also has five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida, in 1986, as well as five brothers and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis 95617.

Peter D. Berardi

A funeral for Dr. Peter D. Berardi, 67, of Fairfield, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Interment will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Dr. Berardi died Dec. 17, 2000, at his home following a brief illness.

Born March 3, 1933, in Pekin, Ill., he was a resident of Fairfield for 30 years.

Dr. Berardi was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War as an interpreter. He came to California in 1959 and worked in the restaurant industry as a bartender for five years. He graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic Clinic in Fairfield in 1970. He and his wife of 40 years, Karen, worked together in his clinic.

He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Northern Solano Lodge, and past member of the Fairfield Elks Lodge No. 1976.

Dr. Berardi is survived by his wife; daughter Erica of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law Darrin and Ramona of Vacaville; sisters Adele Trettenero of Vacaville and Bruna Tabor of Pekin; brother Joseph of Pekin; granddaughters Aundrea and Alexis of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Peter Berardi Memorial Scholarship, Sons of Italy, Northern Solano Lodge, 2905 Eucalyptus Court, Fairfield, 94533.

Vivian Kathryn Hill

At her request, no funeral services will be held for Vivian Kathryn Hill, 87, of Fairfield.

Mrs. Hill died Dec. 16, 2000, at Goss Care Home in Suisun.

Born May 15, 1913, in Stowell, Texas, Mrs. Hill lived in Fairfield for 12 years. She married Charles Lee Crump and the couple had two children, Virginia Lee and James Edward.

After Mr. Crump died, she married Henry Alvin Hill.

After the death of her second husband, Mrs. Hill moved to Fairfield to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked in Texas hospitals and in homes as a health care nurse.

Mrs. Hill is survived by her daughter, Virginia Henthorn of Fairfield; sisters Venus Day and Billie Williams of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren Joseph W. Henthorn Jr. and his wife, Tamara, of Sacramento, James F. Henthorn and his wife, Maria, of Elk Grove, and Jessical L. Henthorn of Napa; and great-grandchildren Rochelle, Brianna, Joseph II, Alyssa and Laurel Henthorn.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Tyrone B. Jacobs

A memorial service for Tyrone B. Jacobs, 58, of Dixon, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.

Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Jacobs died Dec. 9, 2000.

Born June 1, 1942, in Sacramento, he lived in Dixon for the past 25 years. He was a retired sheepman and was retired from the University of California, Davis.

Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Reliable A's of Sacramento, Vorra Off Road Racing Association of Sacramento and the Sam Berrie Racing Team.

He is survived by his wife, Drinda of Dixon; daughter and son-in-law Kendra and Chris Fallin of Avery; son and daughter-in-law Lantz and Mary Ann of Dixon; grandchildren Michael and Alex of Dixon and Jacob Fallin of Avery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 West Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements were made by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Josephine Knabke

A memorial Mass for Josephine Knabke, 83, of Winters, was celebrated Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Winters.

Inurnment will be private at Winters Cemetery.

Mrs. Knabke died at home Dec. 14, 2000, after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 10, 1917, in Great Falls, Mont., she had lived in Winters since 1977. She formerly lived in Sunnyvale. She was known throughout her lifetime as a very generous person in her community and church.

Mrs. Knabke was a talented artist, and enjoyed reviewing art and creating crafts and floral designs.

She and her late husband, William H., traveled around the world and visited the Great Wall of China.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She loved and enjoyed her family.

Mrs. Knabke is survived by her three sons, Bill and John of Winters, and Jim of Clovis; a brother, John Bucher of Napa; a sister, Rose Knabke of Galt; and seven grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, who died in February.

Contributions may be made to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95617-1014 or to St. Anthony Catholic Church Altar Society, P.O. Box 986, Winters, 95694.

Arrangements are by Smith's Colonial Chapel in Winters.

Sylvia Medina

A Catholic Prayer Service for Sylvia Medina, 42, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Edward Garcia will officiate. Interment will follow at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Medina died Dec. 13, 2000, at NorthBay Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born July 15, 1958, in Chicago, she lived in Fairfield for the past 17 years. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.

Ms. Medina is survived by her husband, Alfonso Garcia of Fairfield; a daughter, Celia Cendejas of Suisun; a son, Antonio Cendejas of Vacaville; sisters, Helen Gutierrez of Fairfield and Esperanza of Fairfield; and brothers, Rene Gutierrez of Fairfield, Joey of Chicago, and John of Santa Rosa.

Floyd Martin Boice

A funeral for Floyd Martin Boice, 87, of Fairfield will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Fairfield Funeral Home. Bishop Richard F. Jergensen will officiate. Interment will follow at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. before the service begins.

Mr. Boice died Dec. 18, 2000, at the SunBridge La Mariposa Care Center in Fairfield.

Born Nov. 26, 1913, in Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri, his military experience had him living in Iowa, Arizona, Washington, Alaska and California with another year and a half of foreign assignment. He retired from the U.S. Air Force March 6, 1965, as a senior master sergeant with 24 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, bowling and golfing. He always enjoyed the companionship with others more than the competition.

He and his wife had no children, but were blessed with the love of those he served as a Sunday meeting greeter for many years at his church.

Mr. Boice is survived by his half-brother, Ray Swearington of New Lisbon, Wis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita.

Lois Nettie Blood

A memorial service for Lois Nettie Blood, 77, of Dixon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 305 North Lincoln St., Dixon. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Blood died Dec. 20, 2000, in Vaca Valley Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born March 18, 1923, in Glendale, she lived in Dixon for the past 10 years and was formerly from Vacaville for 37 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years for Vacaville and Fairfield Physical Therapy. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Vacaville Lodge #1967.

Mrs. Blood is survived by her daughters, Judy A., Carol Hainline and Robin Derenzi, all of Vacaville, Cheryl Lewis of Dixon and Joanne Ramey of Elk Grove; son, Robert of Vacaville; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lisle, on July 7, 1991.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo.

Arrangements were handled by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Concepcion Leon-Guerrero

A Mass of Christian Burial for Concepcion Leon-Guerrero, 75, of Suisun City will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Piti Veterans Cemetery in Guam.

Mrs. Leon-Guerrero died Dec. 17, 2000, in David Grant Medical Center, Travis.

Born Jan. 5, 1925, in Hagatna, Guam, she lived in Suisun City for 12 years. She was a homemaker for 42 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mrs. Leon-Guerrero is survived by her husband, Jesus of Suisun; son, Joseph of Suisun; son and daughter-in-law, John and Ida of Guam; grandchildren, John Paul and Marie Concepcion of Guam.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A rosary will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday in the Leon-Guerrero family residence, 827 Yosemite Way, Suisun City.

Arrangements were handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Lister J. Harper

A funeral for Lister J. Harper, 64, of Suisun City will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Clayton Lea, Jr., will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary.

Mr. Harper died Dec. 19, 2000, at his home in Suisun City after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 27, 1936, in Atlanta, Texas, he lived in Suisun City for the past two years. He worked in the warehouse at Formica Corp. for 25 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church; the Men's Ministry; the Tuesday Afternoon and Evening Bible Study; and the Peace Patrol.

Mr. Harper is survived by his wife, Ruby J. of Suisun City; daughter, Carla Sullivan of Gaithersburg, Md.; stepson, Damien Stowe of Suisun City; parents, Cain and Ola Moore of Detroit; and sister, Connie Moore of Detroit. He also has four grandchildren.
