La Vina R. Napier

At the request of the deceased, La Vina R. Napier, 79, of Vacaville there will be no services held. Interment will be private at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Napier died Dec. 1, 2000, in her daughter's home in Sparks.

Born Feb. 7, 1921, in Yampa, Colo., she lived in Vacaville for the past 36 years. She was employed by the Federal Government in civil service. She worked as an executive secretary for the Department of the Air Force. She retired at Travis Air Force Base after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed water painting.

Mrs. Napier is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Frankenhauser of Reno; grandson, Micah of Vacaville; granddaughters, Rachel and Joanna Frankenhauser, both of Reno; nephew, Thomas Fine of Belleview, Wash.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95817.

Arrangements were handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Marilyn R. Smith

A funeral for Marilyn R. Smith, 46, of Vacaville will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Women of the Moose, Chapter 1498 of Vacaville will officiate. Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. The Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1967, on Gibson Canyon Road in Vacaville, will hold a brief memorial service at the lodge following the funeral and graveside services.

Mrs. Smith died Dec. 20, 2000, in Vacaville after a short illness.

Born March 8, 1954, in Pleasanton, she resided in Vacaville for 23 years. She worked at the Sacramento Savings & Loan in Vacaville as the operation manager. At the time of her death she was a records clerk with the city of Vacaville Police Department. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1498 of Vacaville. She held the Collegiate Star Recorder Friendship Degrees.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Mel of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Deanna Wrinkle of Vacaville; granddaughter, Brittney Wrinkle of Vacaville; stepgrandson, Michael Bennet of Vacaville; stepdaughter and significant other, Tresa Smith and Harold Andrews of Vacaville; stepgranddaughter, Alexis Andrews of Vacaville; stepson, Robert of Vacaville; stepgranddaughter, Taylor Comer of Fairfield; parents, Stanford C. and Erdis Schuman of Vacaville; brothers and sisters-in-law Kevin and Holly Schuman of Logan, Utah, and Steven and Paula Schuman of Ft. Worth, Texas; mother-in-law, Eula Rigney of Martinsville, Va.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Association, 7315 Wisconsin Ave., Washington, DC 20014.

Joseph O'Neal Gonzales

A wake for Joseph O'Neal Gonzales, 19, of Sparks, will be 7 p.m. today at True Love Baptist Church. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary.

Mr. Gonzales died Dec. 17, 2000, in an accident.

Born Feb. 28, 1981, in Reno, he lived in Sparks for the past year.

Mr. Gonzales is survived by his wife, Christina Loretta Villanueva of Sparks; daughter, Sabrina Maria of Sparks; parents, Joe of Suisun, and Theresa Keats of Sparks; sisters, Stephanie Smith of Sparks and Terra Lee Castillo of Fresno; brother, Jacob Smith of Sparks; and grandparents, Rachel Taylor of Suisun, Joe Gonzales of Suisun, Velma Salas of Reno and Arthur Keats of Reno.

Norma Aletta Rowan

There will be no services held for Norma Aletta Rowan, 72, of Vacaville. She will be cremated.

Mrs. Rowan died Dec. 15, 2000, in Vaca Valley Hospital after a long illness.

Born April 28, 1928, in Enid, Okla., she lived in the area for 29 years. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, canning, shopping, crafts and going on cruises.

Mrs. Rowan is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters, Claudia Loveless of Sacramento, Judy Blanquie of Springfield, Oregon, Sandra Rowan of Crescent City, and Pamela Haselswert of China; sons, Raymond Elliott of Sacramento, and Steven of Willits; sisters, Isabelle Neal of Colorado, and Terry Rosengrants of Colorado; brother, Joe Rosengrants of Colorado; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to donors favorite charity.

Arrangements were handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

David Sinegal

A memorial service for David Sinegal, 64, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary. The Rev. Joseph B. Davis will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at the mortuary.

Mr. Sinegal died Dec. 15, 2000, at his home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born July 2, 1936, in Welsh, La., he lived in Fairfield for the past 33 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years before retiring.

Mr. Sinegal is survived by his wife, Betty Ann of Fairfield; daughter, Aldrina Patricia of Fairfield; stepdaughter, Gail A. Thomas of Connecticut; son, David Jr. of Fairfield; sisters, Jerry Logan, Jannette and Adlina, all of San Diego; and brother, Horce of San Diego. He also has five grandchildren.

Ernesto V. Buenafe

A funeral for Ernesto V. Buenafe, 65, of Dixon, will be 9 a.m. on Dec. 30 at St. Peters Catholic Church. The Rev. Maurice O'Brien will officiate. Burial will follow at Silveyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, with a Rosary recital at 6 p.m.

Mr. Buenafe died Dec. 20, 2000, in Dixon.

Born in Piddig Ilocos Norte, Philippines, in 1935, he lived in Dixon for the past 20 years. He worked with the San Francisco Municipal Railway before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Buenafe is survived by his wife, Clarita; daughters and sons-in-law, Ferlyn and Rolly Junio, and Esther and Rudy Manuel; his son, Eric; and his son and daughter-in-law, Roby and Lorena, all of Dixon; brother, Greg of San Jose; brother and sister-in-law, Contancte and Annie of Okinawa, Japan; seven grandchildren.

Susan Alice Kretsch

A funeral for Susan Alice Kretsch of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Stan Sanderson will officiate. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ms. Kretsch died Dec. 18, 2000, in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Born March 24, 1956, in Wayland, N.Y., she lived in Fairfield for the past 20 years. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She was an avid reader, and also loved gardening and cooking.

Ms. Kretsch is survived by her ex-husband, William of Fairfield; daughter, Katherine of Fairfield; son, Jacob of Fairfield; parents, Jake and Suzanne Zimmerman of New Mexico; and sisters, Stephine Lemay of Maryland, Beckey Alexander of New Mexico, and Francis Zimmerman of New Mexico. She also has nine nieces and nephews.

Robert Walter Latsch

At his request, no formal services will be held for Robert Walter Latsch, 75, of Dixon. Disposition will be private.

Mr. Latsch died Dec. 19, 2000, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born Oct. 18, 1925, in Watertown, Wisc., he lived in Dixon for the past 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Civil Service for 44 years, performing duties as a flight engineer for the C-141 aircraft. He retired from Civil Service in 1987, after having retired from the Air Force in 1969. He loved travelling, golf, and old trains and carousels.

Mr. Latsch is survived by his wife, Edith of Dixon; son, Jerry of Davis; daughters, Karis Feldkamp of Rocklin, and Susan of Vacaville; and granddaughters, Joanna of Dixon, and Kate of Davis.

Loyce Lee Williams

A visitation for Loyce Lee Williams, 69, of Vacaville will be from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 27, 2000, at Vaca Hills Chapel. Burial and services will be private.

Mr. Williams died Dec. 22, 2000, at VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.

Born April 15, 1931, in Texas, he moved to the area 17 years ago. He worked as a foreman for the East Bay Mud Water District. He enjoyed singing in church.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Leonna of Vacaville; and daughter and son-in-law, Amie Meyers of Vacaville and Lem Edwards of Vacaville.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Thomas Francis Dooly

A service for Thomas Francis Dooly, 71, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo.

The Rev. Keith DeVries of Community Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.

Mr. Dooly died Dec. 24, 2000, at home following a long illness.

Born Feb. 4, 1929, in Oakland, he lived in Vallejo for 61 years, and lived in Vacaville the past three years. He was a nuclear planner at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1986. Prior to working for Mare Island, he was manager of Hagstrom Market in Vallejo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was past trustee and past chairman on the executive committee of the Vallejo Elks Lodge, and past cub master and scout master of Boy Scout Troop 63. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Vallejo, the Vallejo Elks Lodge, Vacaville Moose Lodge and Vallejo Redmen.

Mr. Dooly is survived by his wife, Jean of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mike Bailey of Martinez; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Michelle and John and Erika of Vacaville, and Chuck and Pam of Danville; two sisters, Dorothy Bunn of Red Bluff and Patricia Forst of San Jose; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Chapels.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation or a favorite charity.

Earl Austin Dunn Jr.

At his request, there will be no services for Earl Austin Dunn Jr., 57, of Vacaville.

Mr. Dunn died Dec. 21, 2000, at Sutter Solano Medical Center.

Born Feb. 22, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Okla., he lived in Vacaville for eight years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for MLO Products at the Fairfield location, and he had a master's degree in horticulture, specializing in orchids.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his son, Steven of Dixon; his daughter, Laura of Dixon; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and John Amlin of Benicia; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Diane of Australia; half-brother Jim Stevens of Waco, Texas; special friend Mel Williamson of MOL; and many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Lena Alma Hardison

A funeral for Lena Alma Hardison, 76, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Pastor Glen Green of Fairfield Church of God will officiate. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Hardison died Dec. 22, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, following a long illness.

Born Feb. 20, 1924, in Kendleton, Texas, she lived in Fairfield for 40 years. She was a cook for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District and Suisun School District for 21 years. She was a member of the Fairfield Church of God.

Mrs. Hardison is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ernest Hardison Sr. of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Duane Leon and Carolyn Taylor of Vallejo, and Ernest Jr. and Sabrina of Fairfield; two sisters, Irene Price and Ruth Clark of Kendleton; three brothers, William J. Taylor Jr. of Kendleton, Aubrey Taylor of San Francisco, and the Rev. Oscar Taylor of Kendleton; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Ellra Cox

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ellra Cox, 69, of Fairfield will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Interment will be at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Mr. Cox will be given military honors at his graveside. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Following the vigil and rosary, there will be a Masonic service and an Elks service at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Cox died Dec. 20, 2000, at his home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born July 23, 1931, in Auburn, Ala., he lived in Fairfield for the past 27 years. He graduated from high school in Hamilton, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a technical sergeant. He then worked in civil service for eight years as a quality control inspector at Alameda Air Station. He later worked for United Air Lines for seven years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Stanley Y. Beverly. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Elks; IBPOR of the World; and Veritas Consistory. He was a general in the Antler Guard. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Linda M. of Fairfield; daughter, Carrol of Stockton; stepson, Karl Roye of Cleveland; brothers, John Jackson of Olmstead, Ohio, and Julius Grimes of San Diego; grandchildren, Sheldon Roye of Oakland, Terri Roye of Cleveland, Kenneth Roye of Cleveland, Alicia of Stockton, Anthony Murphy of Stockton, and Angelo Murphy of Stockton. He also has seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
