Teresa Molina passed away in her Madera home on Sunday, August 7, 2005 surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness. Teresa was born icon on February 6, 1923 in Madera to Ysauro and Carlota Arroyo. She has been a life long resident of Madera, where she attended school and later met and married her husband Frank with whom she has shared 59 years of marriage. A homemaker Teresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and belonged to the Young Ladies Institute of the parish, and was involved with St. Joachim’s School while her children were students there. Teresa was also a member of Better Breathers.

In addition to her husband Frank Molina, Teresa is survived by her children; David Candelas of Los Angeles, Frank A. Molina and John M. Molina both of Madera, Diana M. Parsons of Concord, CA. and Terri Lynn Molina and Bernadette Giersch both of Madera. She is the sister of Joe M. Arroyo of Madera, and the beloved grandmother of 8 Grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Visitation is Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 2 to 7 PM in Jay Chapel with a vigil service following at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 11:00AM in St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to Optimal Hospice in Fresno.

Fleta Medsker, age 81, of Madera, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005 after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Fleta was born icon on a farm in Matthews, IN the last of fifteen children. As a young girl she moved to and spent many years in Muncie, IN. She moved to California in 1962.

Fleta was married 58 years to and predeceased by her husband Guy who passed away on June 2nd of this year.

Fleta worked in the Glass Bottle Mfg. Industry for 30 years as an inspector. She worked for Ball Brothers in Muncie, Glass Containers in Los Angeles, and she retired from Madera Glass.

Fleta enjoyed tending her flower garden, watching soap operas and ice skating programs, playing cribbage with Guy, and reading biographies. She always treasured visits from her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Fleta is survived by her sons Dale and Robert and by her daughter Candi. Surviving grandchildren include Kimberly Chelminski, Jeffrey Medsker, Jennifer Medsker, Hunter Freund, and Jade Freund. Fleta had one great-grandson, Jacob Anderson.

A joint graveside service will be held for Fleta and for Guy at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera on Friday, August 12, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. A viewing will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera on Thursday, August 11, between 2:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

Memorials may be made to St. Agnes Hospice at 1111 E. Spruce Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.

Fernando O. Dado

Passed away on August 11, 2005 at the age of 86 at his Madera home surrounded by his family following an extended illness. Fernando was born icon in El Riyito, Nayarit, Mexico where he lived until 1943 when he immigrated to California. He was a long time resident of San Jose where he was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator with Local #3 of the Operating Engineers Union. Fernando has resided in Madera since 1991 where he attended Iglesia Nueva Esperanza.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 5 of his children; Fernando O. Dado Jr., Abel Dado, Deciderio Dado, Mary Ruth Dado, and Jenny Quinonez. He is survived by his wife Herlinda Mendoza Dado of Madera, his children: Esteban Dado and his wife Doris of San Jose, Benjamin Dado and his wife Rosa of San Jose, Juan Dado and his wife Laura of Apple Valley, Petra Dado and her partner Robyn Strang of Modesto, Aurora Rodriguez and her husband Pedro of New Cuyama, Rosemary Torres and her husband Manuel of Santa Maria, and Olga Nohemi Dado of Madera, his son-in-law Jim Quinonez of San Jose. He is the grandfather of 23 and great-grandfather of 19. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday, August 15, 2005 from 2 to 7 PM in Jay Chapel with an evening prayer service following at 7 PM. A funeral service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 10 AM in Iglesia Nueva Esperanza in Madera. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Madera.

Margarito Gomez “Mack”” Marmolejo

Margarito Marmolejo passed away on August 14, 2005 at Madera Convalescent Hospital at the age of 88. Mack was born icon in Texas, to Francisco and Anastacia Gomez Marmolejo. He grew up in Texas later to settle in Madera California in 1942. During War II Mack served in the armed forces in the Phillipines. Following his military service he returned to Madera where he was a Cement Mason for 30 years. He retired from Berry Construction where he was a dedicated employee for many years and later went to work for himself to keep busy during his retirement years. In Madera he was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and the Guadalupana Society of the Parish. Mack was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1981 of Madera.

Mack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Lily Molina Marmolejo of Fresno, his 3 sons; Mack Marmolejo Jr. and his wife Lupe of Fresno, Frank Marmolejo and his wife Esther of Atascadero, CA., and David Marmolejo of Madera, his daughters; Connie Yrigollen of Madera and Carol Marmolejo of Fresno. He is the brother of Pete Marmolejo, Joe Marmolejo, Isabel Marquez and Seferina Flores all of Madera, and Florence Marquez of San Jose, CA. He is the beloved grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 12.

Visitation is Thursday, August 18, 2005 from 2 to 7 PM in Jay Chapel with a Vigil (Rosary) Service following at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, August 19, 2005 in St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera. Interment with veteran honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery also in Madera.

Remembrances may be made to the St. Joachim Church Building Fund.

Richard Eroles, age 80, a native of the Philippines, former resident of Fresno, CA for 20 years and a resident of Madera, CA for 19 years passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at a Fresno hospital. He was a maintenance man for Duncan Ceramic’s for 20 years. Richard was an avid bowler who played on the Friday Senior League, attended Madera dance class and loved the opera.

Richard is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary Eroles of Madera, his two sons, Louie & Richard “Butch” Eroles both of Orange County, CA, his step-son David Peelman of Hawaii, his grandson that he raised, Timothy Sprague, his two step- daughters, Cheryl Ginsburg & Pam Peelman both of Chowchilla, CA, and his sister Santa Wykoff of Fresno. He was the grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 4. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA. Services conclude at Jay Chapel.

She was a GED instructor/clerk for the M.U.S.D. and was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church, and the Y.L.I. Margaret was a C.C.D. teacher and worked in the St. Joachim Holy Family Table.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Marquez of Madera, her three sons, Mark and Jeff Marquez both of Madera and Steve Marquez of Fresno, CA, her two daughters, Selina and Jennifer Marquez both of Madera, her brother Tony Ayala of Ahwahnee, CA, her four sisters, Mary Avila of Fresno, Lupe Cazares, Carmen A. Martinez & Susan G. Ayala all of Madera, CA, and her six grandchildren, Mark Marquez, Jr; Dominic Avila, Jacob Marquez, Sadrina Marquez, Angelica Marquez & Aaliyha Sandoval. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, August 17, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. both at Jay Chapel in Madera. A Vigil Service will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.

Rachel passed away on Monday, August 15, 2005 at the age of 71 in Fresno California. Rachel was born icon on November 11, 1933 in Glendale, Arizona to the parents of Urbano and Ramona Padilla. She moved to Madera in 1939, where she attended school graduated from Madera High School in 1953, met and married her husband Joe with whom she has shared 53 years of marriage. Rachel was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Valley West Christian Center in Madera.

In addition to her husband Joe, Rachel, is survived by her children, Tim Marmolejo and his wife Shirley of Madera, Kim Russell and her husband Les of Coarsegold, the grandmother of four, Michelle, Sarah, Andrew and Amber and 4 great grandchildren. She is the sister of Bobbie Grinstead of Madera, and Connie Trevino of Fresno.

Visitation is Sunday, August 21, 2005 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Jay Chapel with a Funeral Service on Monday, August 22, 2005, 11:00 AM at Jay Chapel, with Interment following in Arbor Vitae Cemetery.

Herbert Sidney Everett Jr.

Herbert Everett, age 72, passed away on August 16, 2005 at his home in Madera, CA were he lived for the past year. He was a native of Montclair, New Jersey and lived in Newbury Park for 25 years. Herb was a service manager for major electronic corporations. He loved classical music, Harry Potter, and computer games.

Herb is survived by his living wife of 50 years, Yvette Everett, of Madera, his son Mike Everett of Newbury Park, his two daughters, Jeannine Everett of Tucson, AZ and Corinne Everett of Simi Valley, CA, his two brothers, Dan Everett of Monterey, CA and Paul Everett of Oklahoma City, OK. Herb is also survived by his six grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2005 at 4:00 pm at Jay Chapel in Madera.

Juan Trevino Villanueva

Juan Trevino Vallanueva, Age 71 of Madera, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. Juan was born icon in La Sara, Texas where he grew up. He moved to Madera, California in 1954 where he has made his home ever since. He was a retired Farm laborer. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose presence will be missed. Juan was preceded in death by his parents Segundo and Petra Villanueva, and by a brother, Larry Villanueva.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Hortencia of Madera, his children; Maria Adawi and her companion Tony Velasquez, Gloria Crafton and her husband Michael all of Madera, Monica Samano and her husband Celso of Atwater, CA., and Carolina Villanueva and her companion Jesus Avila of Chowchilla, CA. He is the brother of Guadalupe Villanueva of Watsonville, CA., Marcos Villanueva of Madera, Pauline Villanueva of Watsonville, CA., Seferina Espinoza of Fresno, CA., and Lucy Torres of Watsonville, CA., Juan is the beloved grandfather of 12.

Visitation for Juan will be Sunday (his birthday), August 21, 2005 from 2 to 8 PM in Jay Chapel. A funeral service will be Sunday Afternoon at 5:00 PM in Jay Chapel. The Service will conclude at Jay Chapel.
