Victoria Baht
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 19 for Victoria Marie Baht, a resident of Elk Grove since 1992, who died Jan. 12, 2005 at the age of 87. She was born Jan. 21, 1917 in Cherry, Ill.
In Elk Grove, Mrs. Baht was a member of the Wilton Garden Club and was active in the Senior Center of Elk Grove and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Baht.
Mrs. Baht is survived by her son Roger Baht and wife Margaret of Elk Grove; daughters Novella Ledenbach and husband Robert of Reno, Rita Hintz and husband Ham of Wilton and Renee Baht of Elk Grove; granddaughters Tiffany Scott and husband Sean, Celeste Hickman and husband Gary and Amanda Baht; and grandson Steven Hintz.
Private burial services took place Jan. 21 at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Saturday’s Mass begins at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Road. A reception will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, 530 Bercut Dr., Suite A, Sacramento, CA 95814; or the American Cancer Society, 1765 Challenge Way, Sacramento, CA 95815.

Robert Walker
Funeral services will take place Friday, Feb. 18 for Robert (Pee Wee) Walker, a resident of this area for 75 years, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005.
Mr. Walker, 80, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II where he was stationed in the Pacific Theater. He then worked for the Sacramento Army Depot, retiring after 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Walker.
Mr. Walker is survived by his son Jimmie Walker and wife Kathy of Elk Grove; his grandchildren, Kevin, Jason and Candice Walker; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Macy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today, Feb. 16 from noon until 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at South East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove.
Friday’s services begin at 10 a.m. followed by entombment, all at South East Lawn.
Remembrances may be made to the A.S.P.C.A.

Daniel Pelton
Daniel (Danny) Pelton of Elk Grove died Feb. 6, 2005 at the age of 37. He grew up in the San Ramon area and was a catalytic converter recycler.
Mr. Pelton is survived by his daughter Sydney Pelton; mother Kathy Erken; father Daniel Pelton; brother Sean Pelton; and sisters, Chris Pelton Lowe and Amber Pelton.
Memorial services took place Feb. 12 in Redwood City. Arrangements were by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.

Mary Kilbane
Mary Lenore Kilbane, a resident of the Sacramento area for the past seven years, died July 4, 2006 at the age of 83. She was a native of California.
Mrs. Kilbane was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years James Kilbane and her son Michael Kilbane.
She is survived by daughters Kathy Topp, Nancy  Taylor and husband Byron, Bridgett Green and husband Mike and Erin Kilbane; grandchildren Kelly, Terianne, Byron, Jamie, Casey, Diane, Scott and Katie; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousins Terry Weber and Nancy Hettler and best friend for 70 years Doreen Maxwell.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Elk Grove Funeral Chapel.

Jo Loverde
Memorial services are today (Wednesday) for Jo (Dolson) Loverde, a lifetime resident of the Sacramento/Elk Grove area who died June 24, 2006 at the age of 89.
Mrs. Loverde was a member and secretary of the Sacramento Area Bowling Association for more than 20 years and a volunteer at Bruceville Terrace Convalescent Hospital for more than 12 years. She also volunteered at Methodist Hospital and was a folk dancer at the Pairs and Spares Club.
She was employed at SMUD for 10 years.
Mrs. Loverde was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Matt Loverde and her daughter Carol Jo Kosobud.
She is survived by her daughter Pat Heinrich of Elk Grove; grandchildren Matt Silva and wife Grace and Mike Silva and wife Janice; and great-grandchildren Jeffrey, Robert and Kaitlyn Jo Silva.
Today’s services begin at 10 a.m. in Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd. Interment was private in Sacramento Memorial Lawn.

Helen Edwardes
Funeral services will take place today for Helen Rose Edwardes, a 20-year resident of Elk Grove who died July 3, 2006 at an Elk Grove care home.
Mrs. Edwardes was born Oct. 15, 1909 in Vinton, Iowa and came to Elk Grove in 1986 with her husband to be near their family.
In Elk Grove, she enjoyed attending the Elk Grove Congregational Church, being involved with Elk Grove chapter 109, Order of the Eastern Star, and supporting the Masons and Shriners with her husband. In her later years one of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo.
Mrs. Edwardes was preceded in death by her husband George.
She is survived by sons Ron Edwardes of Elk Grove and Marvin Edwardes of Pinole; grandchildren Darrin, Troy, Denise, Gina and Dorene; and great-grandchildren Maverick, Jayna, Isabella, Miguel, Ronnie, Andrew and Marco.
Viewing is at 10 a.m. today followed by the service at 11 at Elk Grove Congregational Church, 9624 Melrose Ave. Interment will be in South East Lawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Elk Grove Funeral Chapel.

Constance Precourt
Constance Mary Precourt, a resident of the Sacramento area for the past 15 years, died July 3, 2006 at the age of 41. She was a native of Wisconsin.
Ms. Precourt is survived by her children Brie Talbot, Thor, Kristin and Katrin Tryggvason, and parents Richard and Louise Precourt.
She was the sister of David, Douglas and Daniel Precourt and Christine Frazier, and former spouse of Baldur Tryggvason.
A Mass of Christian burial took place July 11 with interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Elk Grove Funeral Chapel.

Billy Curtsinger
Graveside services will take place this morning (Friday) for Billy J. Curtsinger of Elk Grove who died Oct. 13, 2003, at the age of 78.
Mr. Curtsinger was born May 31, 1925, in Grandfield, Okla. He was a welder for Local 447 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union for 55 years, and avid bass fisherman and world traveler.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Margit Curtsinger; his children, Joan Parker and husband Dave, Nancy Conley and husband Ken, and William Curtsinger and wife Kim; his grandchildren, Michael, Hillary, Heather, David, Billy, Mindy, Michael, Shannon and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Carson, Jace and Isabella.
Services begin at 10 a.m. today at South East Lawn Memorial Park, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove.

Hans C. Olsen
Hans Chester Olsen died on the eve of his 82nd birthday, Dec. 20, 2003. He was born Dec. 21, 1921 and grew up in Biola.
He served as an aircraft mechanic in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war, he returned to California and attended Fresno State College. In 1952, upon graduating with a degree in industrial arts and earning his teaching credential, he moved to Galt.
Mr. Olsen taught drafting at Elk Grove High School from 1952 to 1982. During summers, he earned a master's degree from Fresno State. Along with teaching, he served as head of the industrial arts department for a number of years.
He was active I n Boy Scouts as a youth, earning the rank of Eagle and active as a Cub Scoutmaster, Boy Scoutmaster, and district Commissioner with his sons. In retirement, Mr. Olsen was active in the Masons, Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls in Galt and Woodbridge. At various times he was Master of the Lodge, Worthy Patron and Rainbow Dad. He volunteered as a reading mentor at Fairsite School. For many years, he enjoyed commercial fishing and trailering. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Galt.
Mr. Olsen is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Florence Olsen of Galt; twin sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandy Schlotthauer Olsen of Citrus Heights and Ronald and Maureen McGuire Olsen of Galt; step-son, Eric Olson of Guam; sister, Arlene Fodor of Santa Maria; grandchildren, Robert Olsen of Los Angeles, Jason Olsen of Citrus Heights, Cristin Olsen Harris of Thousand Oaks and John Olsen of Los Angeles; great-grandchildren, Haley and Luke Harris.
Mr. Olsen was preceded in death in 1978 by his first wife, Frances Wolff Olsen.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 26, at 10 a.m., at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Third and B St., Galt. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's.
