Carmelle Calkins
Carmelle Calkins was born on June 9, 1958 in Fresno,  Calif. to Patrick and Marie DeLiddo. She died at her home in Oroville,  Calif. on March 29, 2007 at the age of 49.
Carmelle enjoyed cooking, tubing, animals and collecting clown and skunk figurines. She loved reading, springtime with her family and trips to the ocean.
Carmelle is survived by her three children, Christi Calkins, Kim Calkins and Mike Calkins; brother, Pat DeLiddo; sisters, Nancy Brown, Carole Smith and Olivia Gallegos; as well as five grandchildren.

Harry L. Harwood
May 12, 1922 - March 30, 2007
Birthplace: Marysville, California
Resided In: Chico, California
Harry L. Harwood was born May 12, 1922, and passed away Friday March 30, 2007. Harry was born in Marysville, California to LeRoy and Alberta Jestines. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Harwood. In 1943 Harry married the love of his life, Betty Reiswig. Later, Harry graduated from the University of the Pacific, school of Dentistry, San Francisco in 1946. He then carried out his career for 44 years in Chico, Ca.
Harry is survived by his wife, Betty Harwood; two children, David Harwood (Dr. Ginger-Hanks Harwood), Kim Harwood-Inouye (Henry Inouye); four grandchildren, Dr. Dannielle Harwood, (Dr. Mic Heib), Dr. David Mathew Harwood, Joshua Harwood, Ryan Inouye; and two great-grandchildren. “We will keep you in our memories and close to our hearts.” There will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity or to Butte County Humane Society.

Ivan "Rob" Robertson
July 15, 1913 - March 31, 2007

Resided In: Chico, California
Ivan “Rob” Robertson, age 93, passed away at his home on March 31, 2007. He spent most of his adult life in the Napa Valley, moving to Chico 8-years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Chico; his four children from his first marriage, Shirley Ann (Bob) Jarecki of Napa, Bill (Susan) Robertson of Cupertino, Richard Robertson of Sunnyvale, David (Alyce) of Napa; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and his brother, Carroll of Salina, Kansas. Also surviving him are his stepchildren; Sharon (Jeff) Bisaga, Shirley (Allen) Yartz, Dennis (Rita) Dawson and Laurie (Don) Engstrom; 9 step-grandchildren, and 3 step great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Mark and Margery of Interim Assisted Care and Kathy and Pete of Hospice. A memorial service will be held 1:00p.m. Sunday April 22nd at the Springfield Manor Clubhouse.

Donna Jean Andersen
June 14, 1934 - April 01, 2007

A life celebration will be held for Donna Honn Andersen on Saturday, Apri1 7, 11:00 am at Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. After a two-year battle with lung cancer, she died April 1 at home with family at her side.
Donna was born June 14, 1934 in Chico,  Calif. to Clovis and David Honn. After graduating from Chico High in 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob Moore. Her life was later shared with Wayne Clifton and Charles Abernathy before she married Lance Andersen in 1984.
Her strong work ethics served her well throughout her working years. She waitressed for years, worked as assistant to Dr. Kawazu and Dr. Heithecker, owned and operated her beauty salon, hung her real estate license with Century 21 Jefferies Lydon, and prided herself on her housecleaning and pet sitting businesses.
She is survived by her husband, Lance; sister, Betty Duncan of Chester; and five children: David Moore of Chico; Donald Moore of Virginia Beach, VA; Gina Sciligo of Chico; Julie Clifton of Paradise; and Vicki Andersen of Durham. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews as well as members of her extended family.
Donna had a zest for life and all it had to offer, and she was always quick to share her great sense of humor. She was a delight to know.
Donations to the American Cancer Society are requested in lieu of flowers in care of the funeral home.

Bonnie Loleta Whittaker
March 28, 1925 - April 02, 2007
Birthplace: Sparks,  Oklahoma
Resided In: Paradise, California
Graveside Services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Chico Cemetery for Bonnie Loleta Whittaker, she died April 2, in Paradise. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 on Friday at Newton-Bracewell Funeral Home.
She was born March 28, 1925 to Loyd Decker and Lonnie Cunningham Decker in Sparks,  Oklahoma. At an early age her family moved to Chico. She enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting and made most of her great grandchildren blankets.
She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Don & Bille Estrada, a daughter and son in law, Donna and Norm Gardner, two sisters, Oetha Burnside and Loretta Kelch, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Discover The Rock Fellowship in care of Newton-Bracewell.

Ralph Clinton Delimont
November 30, 1943 - April 03, 2007

Ralph C. Delimont
Ralph Clinton Delimont died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 after a valiant two-year struggle with cancer. He died at his home in Chico with his wife, Maureen, by his side.
Ralph was born November 30, 1943 to Paul G. and Wanda C. Delimont in West Covina,  Calif. The family moved to Santa Rosa when he was a youth. Ralph worked for the CDF in Santa Rosa and later worked for years in the moving/trucking industry. He was a kind, gentle person with a strong work ethic.
He will be missed terribly by his family, which besides Maureen, include daughters, Jacqui Salyer (Don), Suzi Haupt (Don) and Lisa Price (David); stepdaughters, Lisa Hamilton (Bob) and Danica Stitz (Mike); sisters, Karen Franken (Roman), Shiela Delimont (Bob) and Vicky McCarthy. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Rachel and Austin Salyer, Corey Mc Donough and Orion Price; two step-grandchildren, Courtney and Dustin Hamilton; several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Wanda and a stepson, Greg Stitz.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph’s name to the American Cancer Society in care of Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home.

John Charles Terris
October 26, 1934 - April 03, 2007

John Charles Terris
John passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 after a long illness. He was born in Medford, Mass. on October 26, 1934. John proudly served with the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict where he earned the Purple Heart. He also served overseas at the US Embassy in Iran. He was an alumnus of USC and a life-long Trojans fan. John made many friends in his travels throughout Northern  Calif. as a knowledgeable and successful tool salesman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geri; sister and brother-in-law Phyllaglenn (Sis) and Bill Mason; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lorna and Lyle Fleming; daughter, Teri Griffis and sons, Harold and Mike Pringer. Also survived by grandchildren, Kris, Sarah, Katie, Madeline, Joey and Keri, who affectionately knew his as “Popeye;” nieces, nephews and many friends. He gave and received tremendous joy in greeting them all every day from his “post” on the front porch. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Enloe Hospice Care.
