He is survived by his sister Candy Upton.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ralph and Mae Upton.
Arrangements were made by the Neptune Society of Central California.
Ralph Upton
Ralph Upton died May 30, 2003, in Gilroy. He was 74.
He is survived by his daughter Candy Upton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lola and parents.
He was buried at sea June 8.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Neptune Society of Central California.
Eugenio “Jim” Bozzo
Eugenio “Jim” Bozzo of Gilroy died June 22, 2003, following a lengthy illness.
Jim was born in Gilroy, attended local schools and graduated from Gilroy High School. He was a former owner of Bozzo's Union 76 on First Street in Gilroy. Jim was a kind and gentle husband and father, and was very devoted to his family.
He is survived by Joan Bozzo, his loving wife of 50 years; sons and their wives David and Leslie Bozzo, Bob and Toni Bozzo of Gilroy, Ed Bozzo of San Martin, Frank and Michele Bozzo, Jim and Noreen Bozzo, Gary Bozzo, and Terry Bozzo of Gilroy; grandchildren Melissa Bozzo, Elizabeth Bozzo, Nathan Bozzo, Emily Bozzo, Nicole Bozzo, Derek Bozzo, and Jenica Bozzo, of Gilroy, Christopher Bozzo, Stephanie Bozzo, and Stacy Bozzo of San Martin; great-granddaughter Grace Reinsch of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He is the brother-in-law of Frances Bozzo, and Jerry and Pauline Hillesheim of Gilroy, and Jonn Mick of Vancouver, Bc.
Burial was Thursday, June 26, at St. Mary Cemetery.
The family asks that any donations be made to St. Joseph's Family Center.
Edward Prado
Edward Prado died in La Jolla on June 27, 2003. He was 29.
Edward is survived by his parents Steve Prado of San Jose and Cecelia Montaviz Ponzini of Morgan Hill; step-parents Gary Ponzini and Delia Reyes; siblings Lorrie Ann Prado, Dori Ann Prado, Steven Prado, Angie Cisneros, Michael Prado, Carlos Reyes, Veronica Reyes and Angel Perales; nieces and nephews Heather Duran, Jakleen Palacios, Janessa Palacios, Haley May Picardel, JoAnna Orta, John Anthony Orta, Jayleen Cisneros and Mary Jane Cisneros.
The funeral service was Thursday, July 3, at Johnson Funeral Home. Interment followed at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy.
Jesus Antuna
Jesus (Jessie) Antuna died June 29, 2003, in Modesto. He was a resident of Los Banos and a former resident of Morgan Hill for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Antuna of Los Banos; stepchildren Kelly Avila and Robert Hindman; grandson Roman Avila; siblings Mary, Hope, Coco, Manuel (Gloria) Antuna and Joe (Rayne)Antuna; sister-in-law Delores Vargas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He also leaves his beloved dogs Buddy and Holly and his Walmart family of Los Banos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Josephine Antuna.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Johnson Funeral Home with Vigil Service at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at St. Catherine Church.
Interment will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
Rosalie Kathleen Sofo
Rosalie Kathleen Sofo died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at her home in Morgan Hill following a brief illness. She was 86
She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Lorain, Ohio, and lived in California for 41 years. Mrs. Sofo worked for 15 years as an orthopedic technician, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by son Frank Sofo of Sunnyvale; daughters Antoinette Foggiato and her husband John of Morgan Hill, Emilie Highley and her husband Bill of San Jose, and Marie Hamilton and her husband David of San Jose; grandchildren Mark, Joseph, John and Jai Foggiato and Lydia and Jesse Hamilton; and great-grandchild Jacquelin Foggiato
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sofo in 1953; parents Paul and Emilia Siladi; sisters Mary Ann Vinton and Catherine Kowalski; and brother Michael Siladi.
Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Peters in Lorain, Ohio.
A memorial celebrating her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Woodland Estates Clubhouse, Morgan Hill.

John F. Van Scoter
John F. Van Scoter died Nov. 6, 2002 in San Jose. He was 48.
A native of San Jose, he was loved by many caring family and friends.
He is survived by a brother Richard Van Scoter and his wife Virginia; nephews Jacob and Nathaniel Scoter; and nieces Michelle and Natasha Van Scoter.
He was preceded in death by his father Walter and mother Stella Van Scoter.
Friends are invited to attend a vigil service at 7 tonight at Lima Family Mortuary, Santa Clara. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Justin’s Church, Santa Clara.
Internment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
