Wilma Jean Handley, Registered nurse
Wilma Jean Handley, 83, of Visalia died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001. She was a registered nurse.
Private services were held. Arrangements were by Miller Memorial Chapel, Woodlake.
Felipe Rivera Herrera, Farm laborer
Felipe Rivera Herrera, 57, of Visalia died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001. He was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia. Rosary will be 6:30 p.m Tuesday at Miller Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Visalia. Interment will be at Visalia District Cemetery.
Thelma Petrina Martineau, Cosmetologist
Thelma Petrina Martineau, 83, of Visalia died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001. She was a cosmetologist for more than 40 years.
She was born on July 26, 1918, in North Dakota to Frederick and Anna Lindseth. She moved to California at the age of 17, settling in San Francisco. She then moved to Long Beach where she opened a salon known as Nadine's Beauty Shop.
Because of her health, Thelma moved to Visalia three years ago to be near her daughters. Her hobbies included painting, sculpting and spending time in the mountains. She also enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren. She was a beloved mother.
Her husband, Robert Martineau, preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Nadine Arndt of Cerritos, Jannelle and husband, John Malek, of Visalia, Tracy Martineau of Santa Rosa and Vicki and husband, Brian Gilliam, of Tollhouse; sister, Jennie Schmiess of N. D.; grandchildren, Heidi and Rob Arndt, Dameon and wife, Kristy Malek, Desiree and husband, Brian Vogel, Gabriel Malek and Joshua Gilliam; and great-grandchildren, George and Jordan Vogel.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Services, Visalia.

Alicia Mercedes Rodriguez, Infant
MODESTO -- Alicia Mercedes Rodriguez, the stillborn infant daughter of Enrique and Christine Rodriguez, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Modesto.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rafaela Rodriguez of Tulare; maternal grandfather, Henry Rodriguez of Corcoran; and maternal grandparents, Rosemary Lara-Alves and Michael Alves of Hanford.
For visitation, friends may call 2-5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Goble-Miller Funeral Chapel, Tulare.
Graveside funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tulare District Cemetery.

TULARE -- Orval "Leroy" Tallon, 66, of Tulare died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001.
He was retired.

Francisco Aldape, Farm laborer
OROSI -- Francisco Fuentes Aldape, 97, of Orosi died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001.
He was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dinuba.
Rosary and Mass will be 2 p.m. today at the church. Interment will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery, Dinuba.
Arrangements are by Dopkins Funeral Chapel, Dinuba.
Kin Leung, Butcher
Kin Leung, 43, of Visalia died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001.
He was a butcher.
Kin was born and raised in Faryuen, China, on March 28, 1956, to Chiu and Ping Leung.
Kin moved to Visalia 20 years ago in 1980. He worked as a meat cutter for R-N Market in Tulare for six years.
Kin is survived by his parents, Chiu and Ping Leung of Visalia; two brothers, Wilson and Ken Leung of Visalia; one sister, Sue Jiang of Visalia; and his uncle, Jim Gong.
Chapel service will be 1 p.m. today at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.
Burial will be at Visalia District Cemetery.
Adam Cox, Student
EXETER -- A celebration of life for Adam Cox, 17, of Exeter will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church of God, 246 W. Chestnut Ave., Exeter.
Adam died on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at the City of Hope Hospital in Pasadena.
He was born on March 21, 1983, in San Diego. The family moved to Exeter in 1997.
He was a senior at Exeter Union High School, where he was a member of the football team.
He loved paintball, motorcycles, car racing and loved the Lord.
Survivors include his parents, Ken and Kathy Cox; sisters, Brandy and Megan Cox; and grandparents, Gene and Sherry Murray of San Diego and Lloyd and Nadine Cox of Exeter.
Remembrances may be made to the Adam Cox Fund through the Church of God, Exeter, at Bank of the Sierra.
Elvira Gutierrez, Licensed vocational nurse
LINDSAY -- Elvira C. Gutierrez, 72, of Lindsay died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001.
She was a licensed vocational nurse at Lindsay District Hospital for 36 years.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery, Lindsay.
Arrangements are by Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
