Judy K. Leak, 42, of Tulare died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001.
Judy was born in Arkansas. She was an office assistant III for the Tulare County Sheriff's Department in the Property and Evidence Department for six years. She graduated from Fresno School of Clownology. She was a professional clown.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Leak of Tulare; three daughters, Lyndee Alberti, Bridgette Chwalek and Debbie Winnett, all of Tulare; six grandchildren, Julian Chwalek, Toni Chwalek, Lyndsey Castro, Justin Castro, Justine Castro and Kaley Santos; five sisters, Wanda Stiles of Tulare, Esther Stalcup of Sacramento, Joann Howe of Sanger, Sandra Bristow of Sanger and Louise Rohwer of Hewitt, Texas; two brothers, Benny Henson of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Art Gardner of Apple Valley; and numerous nieces and nephews that were very special to her.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel.

DINUBA -- Helen Agatha McMullin, 82, of Dinuba died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001. She retired as a licensed vocational nurse from the University of California, Irvine, Hospital.
Rosary and Mass were Jan. 26 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Dinuba. Interment was at Vacaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lindsay.

EXETER -- Albert B. Tucker, 82, of Exeter died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001. He was retired.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Exeter District Cemetery. Arrangements are by Evans-Miller Exeter Chapel.
Vera Winter
Vera Winter, 84, of Visalia entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001. Vera was born on Dec. 23, 1916, in Boyd, Texas, to Adelai and Fadela Baker. Vera and her family moved to the San Joaquin Valley during the Great Depression. Her father manufactured cotton gins and her mother passed away when she was 10.
Vera graduated from Tulare High School. While in high school she met Merlin D. Winter. The couple wedded and remained so for more than 51 years. Merlin preceded Vera in death in 1986. Vera was a wonderful mother who was very devoted to her family. She was a woman of duty who had great character. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the California Teachers Association.
She is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and Ted Lockwood of the Virgin Islands, Claudia and Duane Goertz of San Diego, Pat and Art Gutierrez of Visalia and Trudy and Drew Baker of Visalia. Vera is also survived by her three grandsons, Don Edwards of Florida, Charles Lockwood of the Virgin Islands and Jeff Bohreer of Visalia. Vera is also survived by her sister, Wanda Woods of Texas.
Vera will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Monday at Hadley Funeral Chapel, 410 W. Center Ave., Visalia. A celebration of Vera's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
Ruth Wright
Retired
DINUBA -- Ruth Wright, 86, of Dinuba died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Mrs. Wright was born in Kingsburg and has lived in Dinuba for the past 70 years. She worked for Mathis & Bolinger Furniture Company as their bookkeeper for 25 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Dinuba. She was a member of the Kings River Quilt Guild, volunteer at Blood Pressure Clinic in Dinuba, volunteer at Jefferson Elementary School and continued to take painting classes.
Survivors include one daughter, Marianne Frazier of Visalia and husband, Ron; two granddaughters, Samantha Tate and husband, Daryle of Visalia and Sarah Seymore and husband, Roger of Visalia; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Tate, Megan Tate, Nicholas Seymore and Hannah Seymore, all of Visalia.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Monday at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, Dinuba. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Dinuba. Interment will be at Kingsburg Cemetery.
