Anna Fagundes Alves, 79, of Visalia passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in Visalia. She was a homemaker.
Anna was born on Dec. 10, 1921, to Joe and Ida Fagundes. She was raised and educated in Visalia. She was last employed at the Valley Oaks Golf Course snack bar until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Fagundes and Lionel Fagundes.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Alves and John Alves of Visalia; eight daughters, Ann Essepian, Angie Stuhaan, Eileen Cifuentez, Pat Vanslype, Connie Neil and Catherine Williams of Visalia, Edna Berbereia and Betty Deniz of Hanford; 28 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Fagundes of Visalia and Jim Fagundes of Oregon; and two sisters, Helen Dynge of Corcoran and Mary Macedo of Visalia.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia. Rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Mass will be 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Visalia.
Edna Cameron
Edna Cameron, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, "Meema," sister and friend. She passed away at her home at the age of 72 on Monday, April 16, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John; her children Teresa and her husband, Kent Reed, Shawnee and her husband, Charles, April and her husband, Darreld Philip, Calvin and his wife, Brenda, Laura and her husband, Marcus; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister; and three brothers.
She was considered a mother and grandmother by many others. She was a gentle and wonderful person. She led an active and full life with her family and loved to be in her garden. She will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Hadley Funeral Chapel, 410 W. Center Ave., Visalia. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Free Holiness Church on the corner of Ormus and Fyke in Raisin City.

GOSHEN -- Hector Gutierrez, 37, of Goshen died Monday, April 16, 2001.
Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hadley Funeral Chapel, Visalia. Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Visalia.

DINUBA -- Ruby Lynn Holt, 95, of Dinuba died Friday, April 13, 2001. She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, Dinuba. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Smith Mountain Cemetery, Dinuba.

W. 'Barney' Scott
Retired mental health unit supervisor
Barney Scott, 69, of Visalia passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2001. He was a retired mental health unit supervisor.
Barney was born in Hanford on Dec. 26, 1931. Barney attended and graduated from Visalia Union High School. He was a member of the class of 1950.
Barney is survived by his brother, Ben Scott of Golden Valley, Ariz.
Arrangements are by Hadley Funeral Chapel, Visalia.

Leo R. Wilcox

ELDERWOOD -- Leo R. Wilcox, 64, of Elderwood died Saturday, April 14, 2001. He was retired.
Leo was born in Visalia on a ranch. He was a production line worker at the Cosart Packing House for several years. In his spare time, Leo loved to travel. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Wilcox and Liza Humann of Elderwood, and 15 nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. today at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia. Services will be t a later date at the Longview Cemetery
in Drum Valley.
