Joanna Joy Hellwig

Born on Feb. 27, 1985, in Visalia to Mark and Rosemary Hellwig, she passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in Exeter at the age of 16.
She was raised in Exeter. Joanna would have been a junior at Exeter Union High School in the fall. She was an active member of the Exeter Church of God. She was also active in basketball, tennis and swimming at Exeter Union High School, and was on the leadership team at the high school. Many of her hours were spent with the parks and recreation division, serving as a basketball and volleyball coach. Joanna was a finalist for Seventeen Magazine Model of the Year for 1999 and 2000. Joanna loved her family and spent much of her time with them.
Joanna is survived by her father, Mark Hellwig; her mother, Rosemary Hellwig; sisters Melanie White and her husband, Justin, Kristina Hellwig and Libby Hellwig; grandparents Don and Betty Hellwig and Loretta Miller; and great-grandmother, Edith Feldmann. She is also survived by more than 60 aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Visalia at 1100 S. Sowell St., Visalia. Arrangements are by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.

Mary Anne Huber

Mary Anne Huber of Visalia died on Tuesday, July 24, 2001. She was a homemaker.
Mary Anne moved to San Gabriel in 1970 and moved to Hanford in the 1980s. She settled in Visalia in 1985. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her many friends and family, going to senior dances with friends and enjoying an occasional double shot of Scotch. Mary Anne was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Huber, in 1984, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include daughters Deborah Combs of Encino, Theresa Huber of Visalia, Helen Huber of Exeter, Jenny Spilsbury of Las Vegas and Cathy Huber of Visalia; sons Bobby Huber and Adam Huber of Visalia; three brothers, Billy, Bob, and Vincent Payne; and three sisters, Jane Skeleton, Betty Jean Reisert and Martha Lee Nichols.
Visitation was Thursday. Services will be 9 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Hanford. Arrangements are by Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.

Earl Johnson, 82, of Visalia died Tuesday, July 24, 2001.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hadley Funeral Chapel, Visalia. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Visalia District Cemetery.

Visitation will be today at Deleon Funeral Home, McAllen, Texas. Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at St. John's Baptist Church, San Juan, Texas. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in McAllen, Texas.
Henry Vernon Hampton

Henry Vernon Hampton, 64, of Visalia died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. He was a retired welder.
He was born on May 1, 1937, in Oklahoma. He was a little Indian man with a big heart who worked hard all of his life and was very athletic. He was always there no matter what the reason. He touched the lives of everyone he came across.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Hampton; children Sherry Hampton-Bardoni, Denise Hampton-Hall, Timothy Hampton, Deborah Hampton-Harris and Kenny Hampton; step-children Chris Lewis, Tammy Lewis, Robin Lewis-Rogers and Scott Lewis; sisters Elizabeth Abel, Diane Tucker, Joanne Fink, Wanda Elliott; and 23 grandchildren with one on the way.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Monday at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Visalia District Cemetery.

Lynvil Arley Quinn, a resident of Farmersville for 52 years, was called from this life on Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at the age of 84.

Leroy Hale, 67, of Tulare died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. He was a retired farm laborer.

Louise Anderson, 68, of Visalia died Tuesday, July 24, 2001. She was a sales clerk.
Keely Anne Bryan
PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- Keely Anne Bryan, 18, of Prescott died Tuesday, July 31, 2001 near Wendon as the result of a car accident.
Bryan was born March 11, 1983 in Visalia to Randall and Kathy (Milanesi) Bryan. She moved with her parents to Prescott six years ago. She finished her high school graduation requirements through American Home School, and was to begin business studies at Santa Monica Junior College in Santa Monica this fall.
Bryan was a top junior handler and breeder in the Australian Shepherd Club of America, achieving the organization's prestigious "500 Club" award in her last year of junior showmanship. She was looking forward to showing her latest champion Australian Shepherd "Moon" in the ASCA Nationals this fall. She earned championships and top wins for several of her own and her friends' Australian Shepherds in both ASCA and American Kennel Club shows.
Her sense of humor and ability to get along with people of ages brought Bryan many friends, with whom she enjoyed showing her dogs, swimming, hiking, camping and snowboarding.
Bryan is survived by her parents, Randall and Kathy Bryan of Prescott; grandparents, Tommy and Delores Bryan of Dewey; uncles Mike Milanesi, Krandall Bryan and Tommy Bryan of Visalia and Bob Milanesi of Studio City; and numerous relatives, friends and her beloved dogs.
A celebration of Keely's life will be Saturday, Aug. 4, at Goldwater Lake at 4 p.m.
Those who attend should bring their own chairs or throws, and the family suggests casual dress.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family have set up a memorial scholarship fund to assist a deserving junior showdog handler to further his or her education. Contributions may be made to the Keely Bryan Scholarship Fund, c/o National Bank, 2825 N. Glassford Hill Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
