She was a homemaker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tulare District Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service, Tulare.

Martin Lopez
Farm laborer
Martin Lopez, 96, of Orange Cove died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001.
He was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, Dinuba.
Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Dinuba.

Callie Mauck
Callie Mauck, 91, of Lindsay died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001.
Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday at Webb-Sanders Funeral Home, Lindsay.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery, Lindsay.
Memorials may be made to Tulare County Hospice, 900 W. Oak Ave., Visalia, CA 93291.

Audrey Stuhaan
Audrey Bramer Stuhaan, 81, died in Visalia on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001.
She was born to Henry and Emma Bramer in Muskegon Heights, Mich., on Aug. 4, 1920.
She soon had three little brothers, Hank, Bob and Dick. She moved to Tulare as a young teen-ager and graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1938. She married Morris Stuhaan of Hanford in 1939 and they had six children.

She was a devoted mother with tireless energy. She served as a Boy Scout den mother, Campfire Girl leader and 4-H Club leader. She supported the FFA, DeMolay and Job's Daughters. She enjoyed watching her children participate in football games, horse shows, halftime shows, parades, swim meets and dance recitals.

She was past president of the Tulare Emblem Club and helped facilitate the opening of the Tulare Town and Country Club and St. Aloysius Catholic School. Audrey volunteered as a pink lady at the Tulare District Hospital, where she later worked for 10 years as a certified nurse's assistant.

She loved to travel and was a strong supporter of the Kidney Foundation of Southern California and the Transplant Games.

She is survived by her three sons, Richard, Bob and Dane of Visalia; two daughters, Maureen Olivero of La Mesa and Soozee Edminster of Visalia; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Audrey is also survived by her brothers, Bob Bramer of Salt Lake City and Dick Bramer of Lindsay; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a great listener, encourager and loving caregiver. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Visalia, 215 N. Locust St., where a memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday to honor her life. Burial services will be private at the Tulare District Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved son, Jack. Visitation will be 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Donations may be made in her name to the Kidney Foundation of Southern California, designated to Team Southern California, 5777 W. Century Blvd., Suite 1450, Los Angeles, CA 90045.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel.

Rose Ann Vuich
Senator

Rose Ann Vuich, 74, of Dinuba died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001. She was a former California state senator.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. today at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, Dinuba. Services will be 7 p.m. today at the chapel. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter the Apostle Serbian Orthodox Church, Fresno. Entombment will be at the Chapel of the Light Mausoleum in Fresno.

Donations may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Serbian Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

John Avila
Truck driver
TAFT -- John Hugh Avila, 36, of Taft died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001.
He was a truck driver.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, Tulare.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel.

Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 211 N. Encina St., Visalia, CA 93291.

Irene Beiden
Homemaker
Irene Beiden, 92, of Visalia died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001. She was a homemaker.
Irene Daum was born to John and Marie Duam on Aug. 2, 1909, in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, Canada. Irene came to United States as a child settling in Sanger. She married Henry Beiden on March 1, 1927, in Fresno. The couple moved to Visalia in 1946. Irene attended Grace Lutheran Church in Visalia. She enjoyed Thrift Stores and collected silver. Her husband, Henry Beiden, preceded Irene in death in May 1946.

Survivors include a daughter, Carleen Lewis and her husband, Glen of Tulare; a son, Richard Henry Beiden of San Luis Obispo; granddaughter, Diane Michigian and her husband, Bruce of Tulare; granddaughter, Janet Lewis of Sausalito; a grandson, Douglas Beiden and his wife, Brenda of Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Richelle Buchholz and her husband, Steve of Pleasant Hills.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Goble-Miller Funeral Chapel, Tulare.

Ron 'Hawkeye' Chalmers
Nov. 5, 1938 -- Aug. 17, 2001

WOODLAKE -- Ron Chalmers, affectionately known as "Hawkeye" passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, in Woodlake.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Praise Center Church in Visalia. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Miller Memorial Chapel, Visalia.

Mr. Chalmers, an avid motorcycle rider, was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. He was also an active member of the Praise Center Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Chalmers of Woodlake; his mother, Blanche Chalmers of Visalia; his daughters and son-in-laws, Tammy Chalmers of Kingsburg, Tina and Douglas Torres of Dinuba, Lisa and Jeff Lamb of Dinuba and Karen and Jason Protzmann of Kingsburg; his brothers, James Chalmers of El Portal, David Chalmers of Ponoma and Fred Chalmers of Madera; sister-in-law, Carole Chalmers of Madera; grandchildren, Matthew Jordan of Kingsburg, Michael, Kristen and Alexandrea Torres of Dinuba, and  Taylor and Makenzie Lamb of Dinuba.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Chalmers; brothers, Edward Chalmers and John Chalmers and his son, Mark Chalmers.
