Kris R. Graham
Kris Robins Graham, 43, died
Thursday, August 28, 2008 at
his home in Pleasant View, Utah, of A.L.S.,
He was surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born November 20, 1964 in Ogden,
Utah, a son of Lee H. Graham
and Sheril Robins. He graduated from
Weber High School and attended Weber
State College.
Kris married his best friend and the
love of his life, Wendy Allen, on May
20, 1988 in Lake Tahoe, California.
Following their marriage, they moved
to California where Kris was introduced
to running. His first marathon
was the San Francisco Marathon. He
also completed the “Shark Test” swim
from Alcatraz. Kris and Wendy had
two children, a son Jake, and a daughter,
Kelsie, whom he loved to put in the
baby jogger and take out on his training
runs.
Kris was full of life and his endless
energy inspired so many family and
friends that whatever they were doing,
whether it was a tri-athlete event, fishing,
or skiing, it was all about how
much fun you could have and how
hard you laughed, that made it all
worthwhile. Kris was a wonderful
father and so proud of his children
who were the light of his life. He loved
to coach his kids in sports and was
very involved with their schooling.
Kris was an avid gardener who loved
to work in his yard. He loved the
outdoors and appreciated the beauty in
all of nature. His passion was running
in the hills and skiing in the mountains.
He loved the friends he made, both old
and new, at every running event he
attended. He was most proud of his
100 mile race, the Western States 100.
Kris dealt with his disease with the
same strength it takes to be a tri-athlete.
His determination to not let it get him
down, discipline to keep exercising as
much as possible, and the inner drive
to help his family for their future, will
never be forgotten.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy,
and two children, Jake and Kelsie.
Also surviving are his parents, Lee
(Mary Ellen) Graham and Sheril (Jerry)
Haddon, two brothers, Larry (Teri)
Graham and Jasson (Holly) Ackett,
and two sisters, Shirlee (Kevin) Hill
and Trina (Tommy) Brown. He was
preceded in death by one sister, Beth,
and his grandparents.
The family expresses special thanks
for the loving care by Megan, Amy,
and Mindy, of Pinnacle Hospice.
Funeral services were held Tuesday
at 11 a.m. Lindquist’s North
Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North  Washington
Blvd., North Ogden, UT.
