Kathleen Bingham
Kathleen Bingham while in the
loving presence of her children was
released from the restraints of her
physical pain and suffering on Jan. 6,
2008, to return home and enter into
eternal rest with her beloved husband.
A void will be forever in the lives
of her daughter Catherine Klena, sonin-
law Tony Klena, sons Ronald
Bingham and his partner Deanna
Johnson, David Bingham and his partner
Debbie Ewert, as well as her
grandchildren Andrew, Kelsey,
Ashley, Amanda, Anna, Allie,
Brianna, Crystal, Jason and Nevaeh.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn
daughter Michelle, her husband
Ronald Bingham, parents John and
Kathleen Moore, sisters Dora Spence
and May Pring and leaves behind
grieving siblings, in laws, extended
family members and friends.
She was born July 13, 1940.
Kathleen immigrated from Glasgow,
Scotland in 1970, She owned Golden
Girl Cleaners in San Ramon, and
resided in Dublin, San Ramon and
Manteca, throughout her life.
A Catholic Vigil and Blessing will
be held at Graham-Hitch Mortuary,
4167 First St., Pleasanton, at 1:30
p.m., Friday Jan 11, Burial will be after
the funeral service at St Augustines
Cemetery where she will join our
awaiting father on his birthday.

Virginia (Gammy) Mendez
Virginia (Gammy) Mendez passed
away on January 6, 2008 at her home
in San Jose. Her family and friends
were by her side.
She was born Nov. 2, 1919. She
worked as a secretary for the San Jose
Unified School District for 42 years.
She is survived by her husband of
47 years, Mike Mendez, her three sons
and their wives, Jimmy and Charlene
 White, Ricky and Tammy Mendez,
and Tommy and Lisa Mendez, nine
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation was 5 to 9 p.m. with
Catholic Vigil at 7:30 p.m. on Thurs.,
Jan. 10 at Callaghan Mortuary, 3833
East Ave., Livermore Mass of the
Resurrection will be celebrated at 11
a.m. on Fri., Jan. 11 at St. Michael’s
Catholic Church, 458 Maple St., Livermore.
Burial will follow at St.
Michael’s Cemetery, 3885 East Ave.,
Livermore.

Megan Renae Whipple
Megan Renae Whipple passed
away on January 3, 2008 at Children’s
Hospital-Oakland at the age of nineand-
a-half years. She is the daughter
of Richard and Laura Whipple of Livermore,
sister to Michael Conley, sister-
in-law to Kristie and auntie to
Amanda, all of Buckeye, AZ. Megan
is loved by many grandparents, aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends. She was
preceded in death by her grandmother,
Jennie Martinez.
Megan was a child with cerebral
palsy and an autoimmune disease.
However, that did not prevent her
parents from giving her a full and
exciting life. They introduced her to
kayaking and bicycling. She loved to
travel, especially to Hawaii and New
Mexico. She loved to read and listen to
music, her favorite was Hawaiian.
Megan brought joy to everyone.
She had a smile that would light up a
room, an infectious laughter, and a
funny and loving personality.
A celebration of her life will be held
at 4 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 18 at Asbury
United Methodist Church, 4743 East
Ave., Livermore.
Contributions can be made to
Children’s Hospital Foundation in
memory of Megan, or to Asbury
United Methodist Church Megan
Whipple Endowment Fund.

Florence “Gloria”
Anderson
Florence “Gloria” Anderson
died August 28, 2010.
Gloria was born Aug. 13,
1928, in Browns Valley, MN and
then migrated to Seattle, WA and
then came to live in Livermore,
CA in 1965.
Gloria was a baker turned
homemaker. She loved to bake
for family and friends, especially
at Christmas time. She
also loved to read and grow
roses. She revitalized the roses
at Rosewood Gardens, while she
resided there.
Gloria was preceded in death
by her husband of 52 years, Conrad
A. Anderson.
She is survived by her sons
James A. (Kia)  Johnson and
Jerry A. Anderson; grandchildren
Nicholas and Rachel Johnson,
and Christa and Chad.
Gloria will be laid to rest with
Conrad at San Joaquin Valley
National Cemetery at a private
burial.

Nancy Carol Tejada
Nancy Tejada was born on Aug
4, 1947 in Livermore, California
and passed away on Sunday, August
29, 2010 in Pleasanton, CA.
She was 63 years old.
She was a lifelong resident of
Livermore.
She was preceded in death by
her mother Ruth Tejada in 2005.
She is survived by her father,
Christino Tejada of Livermore,
brother, Bernard Tejada of Napa,
niece, Christine Tejada of Salinas
and nephew, Steven Tejada of
Discovery Bay.
In lieu of flowers the family
requests donations be made to
St. Jude’s Hospital in Nancy’s
name.

Wilma W. Molzahn
Wilma Molzahn, 82, of Livermore,
CA passed away at home on
Tuesday, August 24, 2010.
Wilma Charlene Washburn was born on February
28, 1929 in San Luis Obispo, CA,
daughter of the late Lester E. and
Mary Hulda (Bordine) Washburn.
Wilma married Donald W.
Molzahn on June 17, 1951.
Wilma received a bachelor’s
degree in general curriculum
from UC-Berkeley in 1950. In
1952 Donald and Wilma moved
to Livermore. Wilma worked for
several years in the circulation
department at the Livermore
Herald. She also worked many
years in the Accounts Receivable
department at Unisource.
After retirement in 2002, Wilma
became a regular volunteer at
the church office. She enjoyed
passing the time by reading, tackling
knitting projects, watching
sports and visiting with friends
and family.
Wilma’s husband, Donald,
predeceased her on December
22, 1980.
She is survived by her son,
David C. (Marcelle) Molzahn
of Midland MI, her grandson,
Adam C. (Destinee) Molzahn
of Leominster, MA, her granddaughter,
Beth D. (Robert) Haller
of Midland MI and three great
grandsons, Ashton C. Molzahn,
Eli M. Molzahn and B. Hayden
Haller. She was predeceased by
her brother, William Washburn.
According to Wilma’s wishes
cremation has taken place. A
Memorial Service will be held
at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September
16, 2010 in the chapel at
First Presbyterian Church (4th and
K St.) in Livermore, with Rev.
Roberta McReynolds officiating.
Wilma’s family will greet friends
at a reception in the Fellowship
Hall after the service. Those planning
an expression of sympathy
are asked to consider First Presbyterian
Church (Livermore) or
Hope Hospice.
