GLADYS LORRAINE CRABTREE
Gladys Lorraine Crabtree, was born to Roy and Ruth Denham, on Feb. 12, 1922 in Muskgoggee, Okla. She passed away in her home in Gene Autry, Okla., on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at the age of 83.
Gladys lived 32 years in Westwood,  Calif. before moving to  Oklahoma four years ago to be with her eldest daughter and son-in-law, Rowena and Jessie Beal, for health reasons. She was a housekeeper at Seneca Hospital in Chester,  Calif. until retirement and a long active member of the Assembly of God Church in Westwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Zane Crabtree on July 3, 1983. Survivors include two siblings, Frank Denham and Betty Biggs, both of Oregon; five daughters, Rowena Beal, of Gene Autry, Okla., Oura Lee Weagant, of Rochester, Wash., Esther Sellers of Maynard, Ark., Lanette Vinzant, of Lovell, Wyo. and Sheila King of Westwood,  Calif.
She left 14 grandchildren, David Beal, of  Oklahoma, Jessie Ray Beal, of California, Gary Beal, of England, Robert Beal, of Georgia, Juanita Winters, of  Washington, Norman Weagant, of  Washington, Lynn Nichols, of  Washington, Norman Weagant, of  Washington, Roxann Bazzell, of Arkansas, Wade Sellers, of Arkansas, Kland Moore, of Nevada, Matthew Moore, of California, James Moore, of California, Patrick Moore, of California, and Brian Moore, of Nevada. She left 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Glady's ashes will be returning to Westwood in July of 2005, and laid to rest next to her husband at the Westwood Cemetery. At that time there will be a memorial service for the family, and a celebration of her life for all her family and friends.

OREL "ODIE" HEINZ III
Orel "Odie" Heinz III, 62, died on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2005, in Reno, Nev.
He is survived by his daughter Valerie Heinz; daughter and son-in-law Laureen and Ray Block; former wife Lottie Heinz; sister Alex Louise Whitman; aunt and uncle Birdie and Stan Young; nieces Jean Holiday and Cristal Guderjahn.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 at Faith Bible Church, in Reno.

DONALD HENRY FOSTER
Donald Henry Foster, 78, died on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 in Susanville,  Calif. He was born on June 12, 1926 in St. Paul, Minn.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Fred Shelden, of Janesville,  Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Carolyn Foster, of Hawaii; brothers Kenneth Foster, of Cherry Valley,  Calif. and Loren Foster of Florida.

CLIFFORD "CLIFF" BARRY CORNWELL III
Clifford "Cliff" Barry Cornwell III, 49, died on Monday, February 21, 2005 in Carmichael,  Calif. He was born March 10, 1955 in California.
He is survived by his brothers Jerry Cornwell, of San Francisco,  Calif., Dwight Cornwell, of Colorado; sister Cindy Pranin, of Reno, Nev. and numerous loving family and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Diamond Crest Cemetery in Johnstonville, Calif.

MATTIE V. WYATT
Mattie V. Wyatt, born on Dec. 13, 1915 in Burnsville, W.Va. to Victor Hyre and Virginia Butcher, passed away at Susanville Nursing and Rehab, Feb. 15, 2005 at the age of 89. She was a resident of Lassen County for 57 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Wyatt in 1996. She is survived by her son Gary Wyatt, of Benicia,  Calif.; daughters Judy Jambois, of Susanville, and Jane Smedes, of Carson City, Nev.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and sisters Louise Mistovich of Melbourne, Fla. and Lois Bozman, of Roseville,  Calif.
Mattie was a member of the United Methodist Church, past president of Ladies Auxiliary Post #2381, and Hesperian Chapter #112 O.E.S. Mattie enjoyed her friends and family and was a wonderful, loving mother and friend. She loved the outdoors and spent many years camping and fishing the lakes and rivers around Susanville.
Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, Ido not sleep; I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glint on the snow. I am the sunlight onripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning. Hush.
I am the swift, uplifting rush.
Of quite birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.
A private celebration of Mattie's life will be held at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at a later date with final farewell and resting place at Diamond Crest Cemetery next to her deceased husband.

ROBERT GRANT MAGILL
Robert G. Magill, age 87, passed away Sunday Feb. 6, 2005 at home in Paradise,  Calif. He was born Dec. 23, 1917 in
Kansas City, Mo. to Chester and Luella Magill.
He grew up in Southern California where he completed his education and began his early career as a machinist. Later he was employed in the aircraft industry. This was interrupted by WWII when he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, performing as part of an air sea rescue team from 1942 to 1946. He then resumed his employment with North American Rockwell in 1947. He worked on various experimental projects and received many commendations for his 30 years of service and numerous contributions to the success of the Apollo series space missions.
He retired to Susanville in 1976 where he lived for 18 years and pursued his many interests, camping, motorcycling, building homes, dune buggies and his vast music collection. The family moved to Paradise in 1994.
Bob could always be found in his workshop where he could repair or fabricate anything. He was an avid reader of many subjects and had a passion for life and a thirst for knowledge of all things.
Bob was an excellent photographer and processed his own photos which were in demand for many publications. He enjoyed sharing his photos with everyone. Bob was a talented man, well known for his kindness, decency and above all his sense of humor. He had a genuine love of all animals and the feeling was mutual.
He was devoted to his family and is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Helen; his only daughter Randi; granddaughters, Haven, Sierra, and Summer; a niece and nephew, and his beloved cat “YumYum” and dog “Buddy”.
He was remembered at a memorial gathering of friends and family in Susanville and Paradise hosted by dear friends Drs. S.K. and Indra Uppal. Bob will be missed by all who knew him.

CAROLYN ELIZABETH RICHARDSON
Carolyn Elizabeth Richardson, 41, died on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, in Susanville,  Calif. She was born in Susanville,  Calif. on Sept. 24, 1963.
Carolyn is survived by her mother Esperanza Richardson, of Susanville,  Calif.; sister Vicky and her husband Steve Fisher of North Ogden, Utah; niece Nicole Fisher and nephew Zachary Fisher.
A viewing was held on Monday, Feb. 21 at Walton's Chapel. A service was also held on Monday, Feb. 21 at Walton's Chapel. She was buried at Diamond Crest Cemetery.
