William Clemens

Sept. 9, 1917 -- Feb. 13, 2003

William "Ronnie" R. Clemens, 85, died Feb. 14 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center - Vallejo after a long illness.

Born in Promise, Ore., he had been a Vallejo resident 58 years and a Fairfield resident for two years.

Mr. Clemens worked for Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter from 1943 to 1945. He then went to work for General Mills and retired in 1982 after 38 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army between 1942 and 1943 when he moved to Vallejo.

He was a member of the Vallejo Elks Lodge No. 559, BPOE and American Legion Post 104.

Mr. Clemens enjoyed traveling.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Hattie Short and by his brother, Ed.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mella of Fairfield; daughter, Linda (Clifford) Neal of Vacaville; sisters, Frances Bellamy of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Brian Neal of Livermore; Michael Neal of Redding, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at Skyview Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Warren Dale of Wayside Methodist Church presiding. Burial in Skyview Memorial Lawn.

Contributions preferred to the National Kidney Foundation of Northern  Calif., Inc., 553 Pilgram Dr., Ste. C, Foster City,  Calif. 94404; or to the donor's favorite charity.

Frank Moore

(July 25, 1951 - April 1, 2001)

Frank Pierce Moore, 49, died last Sunday at a Vallejo hospital of natural causes.

A native of California, he was a Vallejo resident for 11 years and a past resident of Richmond. He was a 40 year entrepreneur who enjoyed traveling, fishing and teaching.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Vallejo; daughters, Walidah Moore-Groves of Vacaville; Haniyyah Shabazz of Vallejo; sons, Khalid of Vallejo, Kareem Gedra also of Vallejo; Rashid Moore of Sacramento; mother, Pandora Moore- White of Vallejo; brothers, Larue and Edwin both of Richmond; and three grandchildren.

There will be a gravesite service Monday at 1 p.m. at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond.

Arrangements made by California Cremation and Burial Service.

Trinita Concepcion

March 30, 1945 -- Sept. 27, 2002

Dr. Trinita Pacis Concepcion, 57, died Sept. 27 at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley, after a short illness.

She was a native of the Philippines and a Richmond resident.

Mrs. Concepcion was a practicing family physician in Vallejo for the past 12 years. Prior to her Vallejo location she had practiced in Ukiah, Los Angeles, New York and Florida.

She was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church, American Medical Association and the American Family Physicians.

Her brother, Jose Pacis preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Edilberto of Richmond; daughters, Linda (Nigel) Harold of Alameda and Dr. Cynthia (Dr. Steve) Lim of Fairfield; son, Benjamin of San Francisco; sisters, Emma Fernandez of Montebello, Erlinda Navia of Virginia and grandchildren, Kaitlin Harold and Zachery Lim.

Visitation will be held 1 to 9 p.m. Sept. 29, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 30 with a 7 p.m. vigil, at Colonial Chapels, Vallejo. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10 a.m. October 1, at St. Basil's Catholic Church in Vallejo. Private inurnment at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo.

Estela Fermil

Sept. 2, 1924 -- Feb. 13, 2003

Estela Mortillo Fermil, 78, died Feb. 13 at a local hospital after a short illness.

She was born in the Philippines and had lived in Vallejo since 1986.

Mrs. Fermil was a homemaker and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

She loved her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Fermil was preceded in death by her husband, Zacarias in 1990.

She is survived by her daughters, Ligaya (Francisco) Paule, Corazon, Merlina (Domingo) Misa and Loretta (Edgardo) Paule all of the Philippines; and Madeline (Raymund) Marinas of El Sobrante; sons, Antonio (Leonila) of Temecula and Conrado (Asuncion) of Vallejo; sister, Divina Escano and brother, Arturo Mortillo both of the Philippines and 28 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 17 and Feb. 18 with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Colonial Chapels, Vallejo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 19 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Vallejo. Burial will be held in the Philippines.

Harold Yeaman

May 23, 2003

Harold L. Yeaman, 60, of Campbell, died May 23.

Mr. Yeaman graduated from Vallejo High School and from the University of California at Berkeley in 1965, where he earned his bachelor of science degree. He served as captain in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1968, before settling in Campbell, where he led a sucessful career and retired in 1999.

He enjoyed being the life of the party, friends and playing practical jokes.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, JoAnne; sons, Kevin (Rachel) and Eric (Erin); brother, Dr. Max (Barbara) Yeaman, an uncle, brother-in-law and son-in-law.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. May 31 at Darling & Fischer Campbell Memorial Chapel, 231 E. Campbell Ave., Campbell.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to the American Cancer Society.

James Marin

(June 16, 1930 - April 5, 2001)

James Nelson Marin, 70, of Napa, died Thursday at home.

Mr. Marin, commonly known as "Jim," was born in Vallejo. He was employed by Goodyear for 21 years and was the co-owner of WPA Tire. Mr. Marin enlisted in the Army in 1947 and served two years in active service; he also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, cribbage, blackjack, tonk and poker, handball, racquetball, and telling stories.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Napa; daughters, Christine of Napa, Michelle and Kathryn, both of Stockton, and Joann of Minnesota; sons, James and Ken, both of Napa, and Daniel of Australia; mother, Dorsea of San Diego; sister, Helen (John) of San Diego; brothers, William (Olivia) of Vallejo, and Charlie of Lemon Grove; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial at 1 p.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Napa. Private inurnment.

Contributions preferred to the American Cancer Society or the Napa Valley Hospice.
