Sharon Miller
(Aug. 5, 1940 -- Feb. 2, 2002)
Sharon Miller, 61, of San Francisco, died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Mrs. Miller was born in North Dakota, and was a life-long San Francisco resident. She was a bookbinder for the University of California for 12 years. Mrs. Miller enjoyed playing bingo, the track and anything associated with small wagering, and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan.
Survivors are daughter, Tami (Douglas) Keith of Vallejo; son, Michael of San Francisco; brother, Jack (Ruth) Novak; grandchildren, Lynn Keith, Teresa Miller, Douglas Keith Jr. and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo, after 9 a.m. Thursday. Catholic prayer service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Twin Chapels, with Fr. Pat Stephenson of Holy Family Parish in American Canyon, officiating. Private inurnment.

Ethel Scott
Jan. 13, 1903 -- Sept. 12, 2002
Ethel Lee Brown Scott, 99, died Sept. 12.
Mrs. Scott also known as "Mother Ethel Scott," was born the third of seven children to James and Mattie Moore Brown in 1903.
She was a life long member of Cherry Hill No. 2 Baptist Church.
She married Eulyse Davis and had two children. She later married Cornelius Scott with whom she had one child.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Scott; her son, Revell Davis; and all of her siblings, Laura; Ellis; Willie; Joe; Isadee; Charlie and her half sister, Laura Chafford.
Survivors include her daughters, Veolea Davis Crossley; Peronia Scott Canidate; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Her funeral service was held, 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at Cherry Hill No. 2 Baptist Church, Mer Rouge, Louisiana with the Rev. W. J. Hardy, Officiated the ceremony.
Edward Rodriquez
Nov. 29, 1909 -- Nov. 29, 2002
Mr. Edward M. Rodriquez of Vacaville died on his 93rd birthday Nov. 29 in Winsor House Convalescent Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Rodriquez, also known as "Lumie," was born in Spain and was a Vacaville resident for the past 85 years.
Mr. Rodriquez worked at McClellan Air Force Base; Esparza Appliances in Vacaville; and owned and operated his own Radio and Appliance business in Winters for 30 years. He was also a rancher, overseeing ranches in Vacaville, Red Bluff, Colusa and the Princeton Areas.
He is survived by his sisters, Lucy Spell; and Sophia (Annie); brothers, Felix; and Joe all of Vacaville; and 14 nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery
Chapel with Father Michael McFadden of St. Mary's Church officiating. Interment will follow where Mr. Rodriquez will be laid to rest in the family plot.
Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the charity of the donor's choice.

Elizabeth Barberio
Oct. 3, 1910 -- Feb. 11, 2003
Elizabeth M. Barberio, 92, died Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center-Vallejo after a short illness.
Mrs. Barberio was born to Nicholas and Mary Frances Norod in the village of Frankfort, N.Y. She lived in Vallejo for more than 57 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cutwork embroidery and needlepoint.
She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Angelo, her grandson, Richard Swanson, eight brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters, Catherine (Robert) Swanson of Vallejo; Eleanor (Richard) Harrington of Somerset; Frances (Donald) Fenton of Vallejo; sisters, Margaret Shevat, Carm Minosh and Catherine Norod, all of New York; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 15 at St. Basil's Catholic Church, Vallejo. Burial will be private in St. Vincent's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call the mortuary from 2 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14.
Maria Carcallas
Jan. 19, 1925 -- May 25, 2003
Maria D. Carcallas, 78, a Vallejo resident for 10 years, died May 25 at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
Mrs. Carcallas was a homemaker. She was a member of Vallejo General Assembly and the Clarin, Tubigon and Calape Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fabian Sr.; parents, Bienvenuto Damalerio and Florentina Perez; sisters, Engracia, Petra and Lucia; and brothers, Vidal, Anastacio and Joe.
Survivors include her daughters, Alicia Reyes, Helen Carcallas and Maria Teresa Chavez, all of Vallejo, Elizabeth Batallones of Vacaville, Maria Romana Yacob of Hercules and Evangeline Esplana of Antioch; sons, Fabian Jr. of Vallejo, Wilson of the Philippines, Agben of Pittsburg and Faser of Union City; sister, Nancy Waler of Hawaii; and more than two dozen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. May 28 at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo.
A memorial will be at 10 a.m. May 29 at General Assembly Church in Vallejo, with Brother L.J. Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Manila Memorial Park, Paranaque City, Philippines.
Seth Jones
(Feb. 22, 1922 - April 13, 2001)
Seth William Jones, 79, died Friday at home following a brief illness.
Mr. Jones was born in Petaluma and was a Vallejo resident. He began an apprenticeship at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Sept. 1941 and served in the Army Air Force from 1942-46. He completed his apprenticeship in 1950 and worked in Shop 72 as a rigger until his retirement in 1977. Mr. Jones enjoyed the vacation home he built in Guerneville, gardening, raising King pigeons, and taking his family to movies.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Anna in 1992.
Survivors include daughter, Lois (Dan) Landers of Vallejo; son, Norman of Vallejo; and sister, Carmen Green of Vallejo.
Private graveside service today at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, Vallejo. Pastor Don Renschler of Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial follows. Arrangements by Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo.
