A visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Skyview Funeral Chapel. Funeral. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Skyview Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Skyview Memorial Lawn.
Lucy Boudreau
Sept. 7, 1905 - Nov. 5, 2003
Lucy Boudreau, 98, of Benicia, passed away Wednesday in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Santa Rosa, lived in Walnut Creek for over 30 years and had been a Benicia resident since 1962.
Steven J. Brandon
April 25, 1956 - Nov. 25, 2003
Steven Joseph Brandon, 47, died Tuesday after a long illness. He was born and raised in Vallejo and recently resided in Benicia.
Mr. Brandon graduated from Vallejo High School in 1974. He served three years in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Korea prior to his honorable discharge. He returned to Vallejo and began working as an electrician at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. He later joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Brandon. Survivors include his mother, Evelyn D. Price (Gary); brothers, Curtis (Mary Jo) and David (Janet); paternal grandmother, Nellie M. Roush; nephews, Jason, Kevin and Brian Brandon; and nieces, Alexandra Brandon and Rebecca Jacobs.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Vallejo. Cremation will be private.
Contributions may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
Bill Barnes
March 5, 1942 - Nov. 27, 2003
Bill Barnes, 61, passed away Thursday at home following a brief illness. Bill was a lifelong Benicia resident whose favorite hobby was fishing in the Benicia Straits with his friend, Jim Anderson.
He left behind his wife of 41 years, Kathy; his mother, Eloise; sister, Sharon Bordoni; brother, Johnny; and many other family members and friends he cared for deeply. He was special to many and loved dearly. Rev. 21:3,4.
At his request, no services will be held and inurnment will be private.
Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo.
Steven W.H. Walker
Feb. 13, 1954 - Nov. 29, 2003
Steven W. H. Walker, 49, of Benicia passed away Saturday from cancer. He was born in Orange, N.J., and lived in the Bay Area for over 25 years, the last five in Benicia.
Steve grew up in Durham and later Davidson, N.C., and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School and Duke University with a degree in geology. He then earned a master's degree from Indiana University.
He worked as an engineering geologist with Kleinfelder Inc. for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, the Oakland Ski Club and the American Institute of Professional Geologists. He enjoyed snow skiing, sailing and model building.
Steve is survived by his wife, Joanne of Benicia; son, Robert Walker of Benicia; daughter, Anna Walker of Benicia; parents, Hallam and Catherine Walker of Davidson; sister, Susan E. Walker of Edina, Mont.; and nieces, Amelia and Kathleen Wood of Edina.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Warren Dale, pastor of Wayside United Methodist Church, officiating. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society.
Mitchell Brian Boggs
Feb. 9, 1963 - Sept. 27, 2003
Mitchell Brian Boggs, 40, died Saturday at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek after a sudden illness. Mr. Boggs was a lifetime resident of Vallejo.
Mitch worked for Wonder/Hostess in Vallejo for four years and for the Sciambra Bakery in Napa for15 years.
Mitch graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1981. He played baseball during his school years and continued to be involved afterward. He coached Little League baseball when his son was young and then coached high school baseball and football at St. Pat's for two years. He then coached baseball at Justin Sienna for four years, and then at Vallejo High during his son's senior year.
Mitch was a fanatical Dodger fan. He enjoyed hunting with his dad and brothers, camping and spending time with his children and family. We love him greatly, and he will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois E. Boggs.
Survivors include his daughter, Cooper; son, Bryan; father, Bobby (Marylyn) Boggs; brothers, Jeffrey (Doreen), Kevin and Timothy (Kristina), all of Vallejo; grandmother, Frances Swiney of Oklahoma; nephews, Aaron and Brandon; and nieces, Sarah and Breanne.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at Church of the Ascension, 2420 Tuolumne St., Vallejo. Inurnment will follow.

Bobby Barkley Mills

Bobby Hail Barkley Mills passed away Monday in Homedale, Idaho. She was born in Vallejo in 1948 and was raised and educated in Benicia. She married Charles Mills in 1969.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Opal Barkley; her sisters, Clara Barkley Herring of Albany and Jean Barkley Cook and Carole Barkley Frank, both of Vallejo; and her brother, Tommy Barkley of Vallejo.
Survivors include her sister, Janice Barkley Newsome of Richmond; brothers, Albert Wayne Barkley of Benicia, Larry Barkley of Sacramento and Glenn Ray Barkley of Suisun; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo.
Hannah Jane Smith
Sept. 28, 1916 - Sept. 24, 2003
Hannah Jane Smith, 86, died at the Meadows Care Center on Wednesday.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa.

Thomas F. "Tom" Buckley
July 15, 1952 - Sept. 8, 2003
Thomas F. "Tom" Buckley, 51, of Dixon, died Monday from a fatal heart attack suffered while on his way to work. Tom was born in Townsend, Montana and has been a Dixon resident for the past 23 years.
He attended Vallejo schools and was in the first graduating class of St. Patrick's High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Air Force for four years, and served a tour of duty in Vietnam.
He worked at Mare Island for 25 years and was retired when the base closed. The last five years of his life he had been a cook for the Solano County Sheriff's Department.
Tom enjoyed golf, riding his motorcycle, but most of all he enjoyed his family, and especially his only granddaughter Haylee, who was the apple of his eye.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph & Hannah Buckley of Vallejo, a sister, Sandra (Bob) Marcacci of Vacaville, a brother James (Pam) of Vallejo, his wife, Susan of Dixon, sons, Ryan (Allison) of Vacaville, Patrick of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter, Kathleen of Dixon, a granddaughter Haylee of Vacaville, three nephews and two nieces.
A memorial service was held Friday, September 12, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon. Inurnment was private.
Arrangements were under the direction of Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.
