Precila Garcia Macasieb

Precila "Felicing" Garcia Macasieb, 91, died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness. Born in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan, Philippines, Mrs. Macasieb was a resident of Vallejo for 22 years.
Mrs. Macasieb lived as a homemaker. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodorico Macasieb.
Survivors include her daughter, Mila (Joe) Raon of Vallejo; son, Salvador (Maria) Macasieb of Vallejo; stepson, Arturo (Helen) Macasieb of the Philippines; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation is planned from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday with a vigil at 7 p.m. Friday at Skyview Funeral Chapel. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 3450 Tennessee St., Vallejo with Clergy of St. Catherine's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.

Jean Morlan, 83, of Santa Rosa died Saturday at Creekside Convalescent Hospital in Santa Rosa.
A private inurnment will be held at All Souls Cemetery, Vallejo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Chapels, Vallejo.
Peter M. Schmit

Peter M. "Pete" Schmit, 87, died Sept. 15 at his home in Benicia.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. today, followed by a funeral at 10 a.m., both at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, Benicia.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund for his widow at West America Bank in Benicia, No. 2103389587.
Edmond E. 'Rod' Gorden
Dec. 30, 1931 - Sept. 22, 2003
Edmond E. "Rod" Gorden, 71, passed away Monday in a local hospital after a short illness. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a Benicia resident for over 60 years.
"Rod" worked as a barber for over 35 years. He began his career at the Razor's Edge at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, where he worked for more than 17 years before opening his own shop, Sir Cedric's, in Vallejo. He retired in 1993.
In his earlier years he enjoyed raising show Doberman pinchers and showing his 1968 classic El Camino in local car shows.
He is survived by his children, Victor and Vince of Benicia and Michael of Vacaville, Jeanette Core of Fairfield and "Beeb" Patterson of Benicia; daughter-in-law, Michelle Gorden; sons-in-law, John Patterson and Jerry Core; sister, Wanda Fulton of Napa; grandchildren Kelley, Kaitlin, Kassidy, Travis, Raquel, Syndal, Christopher, Wade and Wyatt Gorden, Adam Core and Craig Fitzgerald; and special family friends, Donna Nelson and Jill Varnedoe.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Skyview Memorial Lawn.
John T. Faison
June 11, 1935 - Sept. 19, 2003
John T. Faison, 68, also known as "J.T.," died Sept. 19.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. with a quiet hour from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cooley and Riolo Mortuary, Vallejo. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony.
Tony B. Russ

Tony B. Russ, 50, passed away at Sutter Solano Medical Center Monday following a brief illness.
Mr. Russ, also known as "Hawk," was born in Vallejo and remained a Vallejo resident.
Mr. Russ was preceded in death by his father, Walter Honore, and his grandparents, Timmie and Zenolia Russ.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Mae Russ of Vallejo, daughters, Toni, Camille, Chantre and Terry Lou Russ of Vallejo; sons, Dante of Fresno and Tony and Antonio Russ of Vallejo; mother, Mildred Warden of Vallejo; sisters, Janice Whitley of Oakland and Teri Warden, Zenolia Daniels and Sabrina (Clarence) Williams of Vallejo; brother, Fuget Arnell Warden of Vallejo; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home with the Rev. Hiram Berhel officiating.
Franklin Arenas

Franklin F. Arenas, 44, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born in Olongapo City, Philippines, and was a Vallejo resident for 19 years.
He worked as a project manager for Ever-Green Communication Service for 17 years. He was a member of St. Basil's Catholic Church, Infantanios, Mambusanos.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Elizabeth Arenas of Vallejo; daughter, Eliza Arenas of Vallejo and his brothers and sisters and their families.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a 7 p.m. vigil Sunday at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo. A Mass will be held at St. Basil's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday in Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.
Diana A. Mini

Diana A. Mini, 90, a long-time resident of Vallejo, died Sept. 18, 2003, in a Redding nursing home.
She was the wife of the late William B. Mini and the mother of the late Martin Mini.
She is survived by her son, Donald of Redding, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private Catholic prayer services were held Sept. 25, 2003, at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel in Napa. Private entombment was at Tulocay Cemetery
in Napa.
