Robert Marlow
No services will be held for Robert Marlow, who died Thursday at Dominican Hospital. He was 78.
Mr. Marlow was born in Vallejo and lived in Santa Cruz for 32 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was discharged as master sergeant. He then worked at Bethlehem Steel before becoming a commercial fisherman in Santa Cruz.
He was an accomplished woodworker and had a talent for hand-crafting dip nets for salmon fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Gerri Marlow of Santa Cruz; stepson Richard Wegener of Ben Lomond; step-daughter Kathleen Hlatshwayo of Maryland; and four grandchildren.
A private burial will take place at a later date.

William Foster Jr.
Services are today for William Foster Jr., who died Aug. 1. He was 88.
Mr. Foster was born in Everett, Mass., and moved to Santa Cruz in 1959.
He spent most of his civilian career in sales — both life insurance and real estate — working for Hal Porter Homes, Besco and Singer Housing in San Jose.
He enlisted in the Army in 1940 and made staff sergeant within four months. He participated in the invasion of North Africa and landed on D-Day in the invasion of Italy.
He also was stationed in Puerto Rico, Japan and spent 14 months in Korea during the Korean conflict, where he was decorated with the Bronze Star. He retired as a lieutenant colonel.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner and a Past Big Sir of Branch 111 Watsonville. He attended Twin Lakes Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Watsonville, sons Bruce Foster of Trabuco Canyon and Blair Foster of Santa Cruz; daughters Brooke Graff and Debbie Foster, both of Santa Cruz; sister Marge Heath of Massachusetts; six stepchildren; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
His first wife, Dorothy Foster, and his grandson, Chad Graff, both died before him.
Services are 11 a.m. today at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95065.

Donald H. Beilby
Services will be Wednesday for Donald H. Beilby, who died Friday. He was 64.
Mr. Beilby was born in Watsonville and lived there his entire life, graduating from Watsonville High School in 1954.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an owner of Beilby Tires, which the family ran for 48 years. He later worked for Lloyd’s Tires in Santa Cruz.
He played the trumpet in the Watsonville Band for more than 25 years and belonged to the Watsonville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his son, Paul Beilby of Santa Cruz; daughter Lynn Miyashita of Watsonville; sister JoAnn Petznick of Watsonville; and two grandchildren.
His wife, Connie Beilby, died in 1997. His parents, Herbert and Gladys Petznick, died in February.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.

Eulalia O. Serriteno
Services are Wednesday for Eulalia O. Serriteno, who died Thursday at Watsonville Community Hospital. She was 39.
Mrs. Serriteno was born in Mexico and had lived in Watsonville for the past 17 years. She worked for Volt Corp. of Watsonville, an electronics firm.
She is survived by her husband, Mariano Serriteno of Watsonville; parents Lino and Margarita Ortiz of King City; sons Mariano Jr. and Cesar Serriteno, both of Watsonville; daughter Maria Serriteno of Watsonville; and brothers Lino Ortiz of Chicago and Armando and Eugenio Ortiz, both of Watsonville.
Calling hours are 1-9 p.m. today at Davis Memorial Chapel. The vigil service is 6 p.m. Mass will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Assumption with burial following at Valley Public Cemetery.
Kenneth Pack
Services will be Wednesday for Kenneth Pack, who died Friday at Watsonville Community Hospital. He was 77.
Mr. Pack was born in San Francisco and moved to Watsonville to 1974. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II.
He was a supervisor at the Schlage Lock Co. in San Francisco for 22 years. He and his wife moved to Watsonville and owned and operated the Watsonville Manor, a residential care facility, until 1989.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine L. Pack of Watsonville; daughters Veronica Pack Feehan of Encinitas and Yvonne Pack Dietz of Burlingame; brother Walter Pack of Lagunitas; sisters Zena Hawken and Vera Marsten, both of San Rafael; and six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
His daughter Rosalyn Pack-Hill, died in 1993.
Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. today at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. The Rosary is 7 p.m. at Mehl’s.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery
in Santa Cruz.
Eduardo M. Urbina
Services are today for Eduardo M. Urbina, who died Saturday. He was 29.
Mr. Urbina was born in Mexico and had lived in Watsonville for 25 years. He was a waiter at Cilantro’s restaurant in Watsonville.
He is survived by his brothers, Jose Manuel, Sergio and Alejandro Urbina, all of Watsonville; sisters Espi Gomez, Silvia Monroy and Jessica Urbina, all of Watsonville; parents Agustin and Cipriana Urbina of Watsonville; and grandparents in Mexico.
A Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
Thomas Houston
Services will be private for Thomas Houston, who died after a heart attack at his residence July 29. He was 49.
Mr. Houston was born in Jamaica, N.Y., and lived in Santa Cruz for five years. He was a local artist, freelance goldsmith and sculptor. His work includes many local signs.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Houston; former wife Linda Murphy; daughter Leah Houston; and sister Linda Beauregard.

Doris I. Morris
Services will be private for Doris I. Morris, who died Saturday at Dominican Hospital. She was 94.
Mrs. Morris was born in Dinuba and moved to Santa Cruz in 1972. Most of her life was spent in Sacramento, where she raised her family and worked for many years at McClellan Air Force Base.
She was an active member of the Volunteer Bureau of Santa Cruz County and supported many charitable causes.
She is survived by her daughters, Dorene Mosher of Trenton, N.J., Mary Pierce of Seattle, Wash., and Linda MacLean of Charlotte, N.C.; sister Ruth Erickson of Santa Cruz; four nieces; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three nephews; and many cousins.
Her husband, James Morris, and son, Jim Morris, died before her.

Rosanne ‘Roz’ Fakunding
Services will be Friday for Rosanne "Roz" Fakunding, who died Tuesday. She was 86.
Mrs. Fakunding was born in Minnesota and had been a resident of Santa Cruz County for the past 27 years.
She was involved in the Dominican Oaks community and enjoyed reading and doing needlecrafts.
She is survived by her sons, John Fakunding and Mark Olin; daughters Any Snyder and Clare Olivares; and two granddaughters.
Her husband, Edward Fakunding, died in 1989.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Oak Room of Dominican Oaks Retirement Community.
Contributions are preferred to Dominican Oaks Foundation, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
