Agnes Lucille Hall

A memorial service for Agnes Lucille Hall, 81, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Monday at Solano Christian Fellowship, 4731 Central Way, Fairfield. The Rev. John Booker will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Born May 4, 1916, in Minneapolis, Mrs. Hall died Oct. 20, 1997, after a short illness. She lived in Fairfield for 40 years.

Mrs. Hall was a grocery store clerk for Travis Supermarket in Fairfield for more than 20 years. She was an active member of Solano Christian Fellowship.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughter, Georgianna Charland of Fairfield; son-in-law, Michael Charland of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and son, Duane Kasparek.

Agapito M. Lopez

Funeral services for Agapito M. Lopez, 72, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Church.

The Rev. Umberto Penunuri will preside. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born June 19, 1925, in Jalisco, Mexico, Mr. Lopez died Oct. 22, 1997, at NorthBay Medical Center.

He was a sergeant for the Mexican Army. He grew up in Wyoming and moved to Solano County where he worked for Pangburn Ranch.

Mr. Lopez is survived by his wife, Margarita of Fairfield; daughters, Rosa Olmedo of Suisun City, Margie of Vallejo, and Estela, Maria Panduro, Noemi, and Ramona Alatorre, all of Fairfield; sons, Edmundo and Jesus, both of Sacramento, and Felipe and Benito, both of Fairfield; brothers, Elias and Luis of Dixon, and Fortino of Sacramento; 24 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alberto; and daughter, Maria del Carmen.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Mae Mangels

A private funeral service will be held for Mae Mangels, 67, of Cordelia. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Born Dec. 5, 1929, in Saskatchewan, Canada, Mrs. Mangels died Oct. 24, 1997, in Fairfield after a long illness.

She worked with her husband, Rudolph, growing pears and vegetables as owners of Mangels Produce in Suisun Valley for 49 years.

Mrs. Mangels is survived by her husband, Rudolph of Cordelia; daughter, Joan Tommaney of Fairfield; son, Michael of Cordelia; grandsons, Joseph Schwedhelm of Berkeley, and Jason of Elk Grove; granddaughter, Ann Marie Tommaney of Fairfield; great-grandson, Joshua Schwedhelm of Sacramento; sister, Lyla Grimes of Sacramento; and brothers, Max Browning of Fairfield, Vern Browning of Cameron Park, Tom Browning of Sacramento, and Ron Browning of Dixon.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Richard Merten Morrow

Funeral services for Richard Merten Morrow, 58, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Ronald Morrow of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa, will preside. Burial will be private at the Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.

Born Nov. 28, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mr. Morrow died Oct. 23, 1997, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Mr. Morrow worked for Safeway Stores since 1962, and in the produce business for 41 years. He also taught junior high school in Florida, Colorado and California for 10 years.

He attended Orchard Baptist Church in Vacaville.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Angle of Fairfield; daughters, Debra Lisa and Joel Anne, both of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Sara of Mentone, Ind.; sister, Jean Bowman of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Robert and Ronald of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; mother, Maysel Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and granddaughters, Ashton, Breanna and Kirsten, all of Mentone, Ind.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Jared Grant Scannell

A memorial service for Jared Grant Scannell, who died at birth Oct. 19, 1997, at Kaiser Medical Center in Vallejo will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Rick Stonestreet of Calvary Baptist Church of Fairfield will preside. Inurnment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park, 1901 Union Ave., Fairfield.

Jared is survived by his parents, Philip and Cynthia of Dixon; brother, Joseph Alexander of Dixon; grandparents, William and Ann of Vacaville; grandmother, Evelyn Caviness of Fairfield; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Branko 'Benny' Gojkovich

Funeral services for Branko "Benny" Gojkovich, 66, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Serbian Orthodox Church of Assumption of Holy Virgin Mary in Fair Oaks.

The Rev. Dobrivoje Milunovic will preside. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Jan. 29, 1931, in Bisbee, Ariz., Mr. Gojkovich died Oct. 24, 1997, at Heartwood Living Center in Vallejo.

He was an artist and enjoyed painting in watercolors. Some of his work hangs in North Bay Regional Center in Santa Rosa. He also enjoyed entertaining his friends at parties.

He was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Assumption of Holy Virgin Mary in Fair Oaks.

Mr. Gojkovich is survived by his brother, Gordon of Fairfield; sister, Dana Ryder of Fair Oaks; niece and nephews, Steward Ryder of Santa Rosa and Rob, Andjleka, Savo, and Gojko, all of Fair Oaks; and numerous cousins in the United States and Yugoslavia.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, and a prayer service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Contributions may be made to the Building Fund, Serbian Orthodox Church, 7777 Sunset Ave., Fair Oaks 95628.

Firsteen Lane

Funeral services for Firsteen Lane, 65, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Dixon.

Bishop Joel Sanderson of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Aug. 31, 1932, in Maine, he died Oct. 25, 1997, in his Vacaville home after a long illness.

Mr. Lane resided in the Vacaville area for 25 years.

He was an electrician for 45 years and retired from Local 302 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was active in the LDS church and served a mission in Kirtland, Ohio, in 1995. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Elizabeth Walton of Pittsburg, Rebecca McCarty of West Valley, Utah, Brenda Pulsipher of Dixon, Doreen Halverson of Vacaville, and Jennifer Ferreira and Sarah Anderson, both of Salt Lake City; sons, W. Bradford and Benjamin, both of Vacaville; brothers, Eldwin K. of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Raymond of Vacaville; sisters, Elmae Rowberry of Farminton, Utah, and Annie England of California; and 33 grandchildren.

Visitation will be private.

Arrangments are being handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Rita Wong Rull

A funeral Mass for Rita Wong Rull, 77, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fairfield.

Entombment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Born Aug. 16, 1920, in Shanghai, China, she died Oct. 26, 1997, in her Fairfield home.

She had lived in Fairfield for 17 years.

Relatives and friends described her as a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a member of Fairfield's Senior Citizen Club, Holy Spirit Catholic Church and involved with Meals on Wheels for eight years. She was a bingo caller in Parkway Plaza, and enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting.

Mrs. Rull is survived by son, Lorenzo D. Rull Jr. of Fairfield; daughters, Lorraine Cashen of Ohio and Loretta of Suisun; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Vistation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A memorial contribution may be made to Solano County Meals on Wheels, 1350 Amador St., Vallejo.

Margaret E. Bartholomew

Funeral services for Margaret E. Bartholomew, 98, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday in McCune Garden Chapel, Vacaville.

The Rev. Tom Smith of Community United Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Burial will be private.

Born Oct. 3, 1899, in Los Angeles, Mrs. Bartholomew died Oct. 26, 1997, in Vacaville after a long illness. She had lived in Vacaville 45 years.

She was a homemaker for 80 years and was a 45-year member of the Community United Presbyterian Church in Vacaville.

Mrs. Bartholomew is survived by son, J.R. of Vacaville; grandchildren, J.R. III and wife Jan of American Canyon, and David C. and wife Kathy of Fairfield; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel.

George Columbus Boykin Sr.

A memorial service for George Columbus Boykin Sr., 78, of Vacaville will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Vacaville.

The Rev. Fred Albert will officiate.

Inurnment will be private in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born April 21, 1919, in Pierce, Okla., Mr. Boykin died Oct. 26, 1997, in his Vacaville home after a long battle with cancer. He had lived in Vacaville since 1950.

He was a member of Carpenters Local 180 for 48 years. He helped establish the first Little League teams in Vacaville in the early 1950s.

A religious man, he helped to build four churches, including First Baptist in Vacaville, Elmira Community Bible and Faith Missionary Baptist, where he was a deacon.

Mr. Boykin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edith; sons, George Jr. and Samuel, both of Napa, Paul of Dixon, Michael of Sacramento; daughter, Diane Fancher of Vacaville; brothers, Paul Jr. of Vacaville, Marian of  Oklahoma and Christopher of Kansas; sisters, Pauline of California, Ruth of Idaho and Josie of  Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lola Boykin; brothers, John and Richard; sister, Glen and grandson, Howard.

A memorial contribution may be made to the Faith Baptist Church building fund, 5700 Maple Road, Vacaville.

Sally Bourne Mullane

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated for Sally Bourne Mullane, 78, of Fairfield, 10 a.m. Thursday, in the Travis Air Force Base Chapel Center.

The Rev. Tim McKenna will officiate.

Burial will follow in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born July 6, 1919, in Portland, Maine, she died Oct. 27, in David Grant Medical Center at Travis after an illness.

She lived in the Travis base area for 40 years.

She graduated from Colby Junior College for Women, New London, New Hampshire and the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va.

She had been a mathematician for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics at Langley Air Force Base, Va.

She was a member of Chief Solano Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; Solano Republican Women Federated; Honorary member of Upper Solano Association for Retarded Citizens, and the Wednesday Club of Suisun.

Mrs. Mullane is survived by son, Michael of Waldport, Ore.; daughter, Jean of Fairfield; brother, John Bourne of Brooklyn, N.Y. and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home in Vacaville. The Rosary/Vigil will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

A memorial contribution may be made to the Marianist Missions, 4435 E. Patterson Road, Dayton, Ohio, 45481-0001, or to a favorite charity.
