Julian Escamilla

Funeral services for Julian Escamilla, 76, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Benedict De Leon of the church will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born June 3, 1921, in Arrandas, Jalisco, Mexico, Mr. Escamilla died Jan. 31, 1998, in Vallejo. He had lived in Vacaville for 37 years. He worked for the University of California, Davis, as a master grafter for 19 years.

He loved budding and growing trees and flowers. He sent cuttings as far away as Ecuador.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Beatrice of Vacaville; sons, Julian Jr. of Brentwood and Richard Alvino of Port Orchard, Wash.; daughters, Barbara  Johnson of Vacaville and Rachel Escamilla Pineau of Fair Oaks; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa 95402.

Beverly Elaine Jackson

A funeral service for Beverly Elaine Jackson, 53, of San Francisco, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church.

The Rev. Milton Steck will officiate.

Internment will follow the funeral service in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Ms.  Jackson was born Oct. 2, 1944, in San Francisco and died Jan. 30, 1998, in the University Hospital in San Francisco after a short illness.

Ms.  Jackson resided in San Francisco for the past 44 years, and was employed as a retail shoe clerk at Rockport for the past six months. She also was actively involved in epilepsy support groups in San Francisco. Ms.  Jackson graduated from University of San Francisco with a degree in labor studies.

She is survived by her son, Andre of Palo Alto; mother, Tillie of Vacaville; and brothers, David of Vacaville, and Donald and Robert of Sacramento.

Private family visitation will be in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home. Friends may call at 9 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church.

Angelina Blanche Misuraca

Funeral services for Angelina Blanche Misuraca, 96, of Dixon will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dixon Community Church. Burial will follow at Silveyville Cemetery.

Born Dec. 27, 1901, in Gela, Italy, she died Jan. 31, 1998, at her home in Dixon.

She immigrated from Italy at the age of 7 with her family to San Francisco. While living in San Francisco, she met Charles Misuraca and they were married in 1923. In 1940, the family moved to Dixon and started a dairy farm east of town, which they owned until his death in 1985. The couple was married 62 years.

Mrs. Misuraca was a member of Dixon Senior Citizens, the Dixon Garden Club and the Succulent Club for many years. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, paint and work in her garden. She loved to travel all over the world with her husband.

She is survived by her son, Charles of Dixon; daughter, Ramona Hill of Sacramento; brother, Ivan Chiolo of San Rafael; grandchildren, Vicki Ruiz, Carol Stanley, Sandra Bonesteel and Becky Jacobs, all of Dixon, Robert Hill of Colfax, Richard Hill of Carmichael and Sharon Hill of Sacramento; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis 95617; Dixon Senior Citizens, 255 S. Fifth St., Dixon 95620, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Erin Marie Conn

Services for Erin Marie Conn, 22, of Eddyville, Ky., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Eddyville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve McVay will preside. Burial will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Ms. Conn died Feb. 2, 1998, at Murray-Calloway Hospital Emergency.

She was a senior at Murray State University. Also, she was a vocal music performance major and had performed with the Campus Lights for two years and with the Vocal Jazz Quartet.

She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota sorority, the Chamber Singers and the Concert Choir.

She was a 1993 graduate of Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville and had attended two years at the Solano Community College before moving to Eddyville.

She was employed at the Murray Wal-Mart and was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville; and from noon until the funeral hour on Friday.

Contributions may be made to the Department of Music Scholarship Fund, Murray State University, P.O. Box 9, Murray 42071-0009.

Lillian B. Fittje

A family memorial service for Lillian B. Fittje, 86, of Vacaville will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. Inurnment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno with her late husband, Edgar.

Mrs. Fittje was a homemaker for 60 years and was a professional seamstress for several years. She was a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Fresno. She was a resident of Vacaville for 16 years.

Mrs. Fittje is survived by her daughter, Janette Bird of Dixon; brothers, George  Schmidt of Panaroma City, Donald  Schmidt of West Monroe, La., and James E.  Schmidt of Thousand Oaks; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Dixon Building Fund, 209 N.  Jefferson St., Dixon 95620.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Louis Alexander Kish

Memorial services for Louis Alexander Kish, 67, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Pastor Rob Porter of North Bay Faith Center will officiate. Inurnment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Kish died Jan. 29, 1998, at home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 25, 1930, in New Jersey, he moved to Fairfield 44 years ago. He served in the Navy on the USS Coral Sea for four years.

He worked for Tapatco & Campco Products in Fairfield and in the civil service as produce manager at Travis Air Force Base commissary for 10 years until he retired.

He was a volunteer fireman for Fairfield in the late 1950s. He was active in the early formation of Fairfield-Suisun Little League, was a coach and active in local bowling leagues, and played on senior softball team. He was best known for his fishing and was affectionately referred to as the "Mayor of Hill Slough." He was a member of North Bay Cancer Support Group and Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Kish is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Mike Nemson of Fairfield, and Kandi and Jody  Jones of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Josie of Fairfield; sisters, Florence Lippay and Goldie Cantore, both of New Jersey; twin brother, Emil of New Jersey; grandchildren, Michelle Nemson, Jennifer, Christopher and Annette Jones, and Rhetta Michell, all of Fairfield, Karolyn Broussard of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Kasha and Dominique Broussard of Illinois.

David Henry Ludden

A private committal service for David Henry Ludden, 67, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 1108  Washington St., Fairfield.

Born Aug. 14, 1930, in Portland, Maine, Mr. Ludden died Jan. 30, 1998, in Fairfield. He lived in Fairfield for 25 years.

Mr. Ludden served 26 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1973 as a master sergeant. His duty as a photo lab technician carried him to Idaho, Japan, Southern California and New Jersey during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

He worked for 18 years in the Postal Service, retiring in 1992.

He enjoyed church, stamp collecting, travel, camping and gardening.

Mr. Ludden was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield, serving as a care minister, usher and on the stewardship committee. He also opened his home to Japanese Home Bible Study.

He was a member of the Solano Stamp Club in Vacaville, Scandinavian Collector's Club, International Society for Japanese Philately, and United Service Organizations at Travis Air Force Base.

Mr. Ludden is survived by his wife of 42 years, Yoshiko; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzette of Sparks, Nev.; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Gary  Schmidt of Tracy and Linda and Bill Flagg of Dixon; sister, Agnes  White of Florida; brothers, Robert of Florida and George of Maine; numerous nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

James M. Booth

Memorial services for James M. Booth, 52, of Fairfield will be 6 p.m. Monday at the Masonic Lodge in Fairfield.

Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star No. 2 will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Booth died Feb. 4, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a long illness.

Born Oct. 4, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pa., he moved to Fairfield 13 years ago. He served with the Navy for 29 years, serving in Japan, Spain, Florida, Illinois and Okinawa. He retired in 1989 as a chief petty office and was a crypto maintenance specialist.

He worked for Napa Valley College as a microcomputer specialist and instructor and he also taught at Solano Community College. He was a member of the Suisun Lodge No. 55 F&AM, Order of the Eastern Star, and Suisun Chapter No. 2.

Mr. Booth is survived by his wife, Patricia of Fairfield; daughters, Robyn Brooks of Maryland and Tammy Gottman of Connecticut; sisters, Marie Terrell of Eugene, Ore., and Cecilia Campbell of New Jersey; mother, June of Eugene; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia Society of America, c/o Bank of America, 345 Montgomery St., Napa, or Fisher House, 100 Bodin Circle, Travis Air Force Base 94535.

Kelly Ellen Creed

Private services will be held for Kelly Ellen Creed, 35, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Ms. Creed died Jan. 31, 1998, in Vacaville after a sudden illness.

Born Sept. 16, 1962, in New Haven, Conn., she lived in Vacaville for two years. She worked in the construction field as a member of Local No. 478 of the Operating Engineers in Connecticut.

Ms. Creed is survived by her mother, Jeanne of Vacaville; brother, Sean of Vacaville; paternal grandmother, Ellen Gambardella of New Haven, Conn.; uncle, James Gambardella of Norwell, Mass.; and her companion, Wendell Conrad of Vacaville.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Faye W. Jackson

Funeral services for Faye W. Jackson, 63, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephens CME Church.

The Rev. Williams of Currie Temple CME in Vacaville will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield-Suisun Cemetery.

Mrs.  Jackson died Feb. 1, 1998, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after an illness.

Born Oct. 11, 1934, in Bessemer, Ala., she lived in Fairfield for 17 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Currie Temple CME in Vacaville and former member of St. Stephens CME in Fairfield.

Mrs.  Jackson is survived by her husband, John  Jackson Jr. of Fairfield; daughters, Rita Croskey of Portland, Ore., Carletta Johnson, Monique Croskey both of Fairfield and Maija Croskey of Atlanta; sons, Roscoe Croskey of Portland, Ore., Andre Croskey of Fairfield, and Mark Croskey of Los Angeles; mother, Ressie Strickland of Tacoma, Wash.; sisters, Sarah Sweeney of Fairfield, Mamie  Taylor of Tampa, Fla.; and Wendy Bethea of Tacoma, Wash.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fairfield Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Agapito Nocon de los Reyes

A Mass of Christian Burial for Agapito Nocon de los Reyes, 95, of Fairfield will by 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Burial will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. de los Reyes died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born Aug. 18, 1902, in Cavite, Philippine Islands, he lived in Fairfield for 15 years. He was a master baker in the Philippines. A veteran of World War II, he served with the Philippine Commonwealth Army and the Recognized Gorillas in the service of the U.S. Army. He worked for the Philippine Bureau of Forestry as a forest ranger for more than 30 years, retiring in 1967.

He became a citizen of the United States on Jan. 22, 1981.

On Nov. 19, he and his wife celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.

He was a member of the Reunion for Peace in the Philippine Islands.

Mr. de los Reyes is survived by his wife, Paciencia of Fairfield; daughters, Tudi Remigio and Sergia, both of Fairfield; granddaughter, Gina Melo of the Philippine Islands; grandsons, Jose Alan Melo of the Philippine Islands, Matt John Melo, Paul Gary Melo, Richard Remigio and Ricky Remigio, all of Fairfield and Rico Remigio of Maine; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
