Eugene Robert Dame

There will be no services for Eugene Robert Dame, 50, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Dame died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, in Fairfield as a result of a drowning accident.

Born June 19, 1947, in Quito, Chile, he lived in Fairfield for 35 years. He graduated from Armijo High School in 1965. He then served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam for three years. He worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter for 20 years. He attended both Solano Community College and American River Community College, receiving his associate of arts degree.

Mr. Dame donated his time and money to local community services. He enjoyed camping, hiking, photography and woodwork. He loved studying nature and wildlife.

Mr. Dame is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheri and George Roihills of Tacoma, Wash.; Linnea and Dayton Determann of Suisun, and Sandra Dame and Stanley Stainbrook of Fairfield; a brother, Michael of Kwajalien Islands; two nephews and two nieces.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Belton Allen
Funeral services with full military honors for Belton Allen, 66, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Center on Travis Air Force Base.
Chaplain Steve McCain and Steve Barrett will officiate. Interment will be in Fairfield-Suisun Cemetery.

Mr. Allen died Feb. 4, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a brief illness.

Born July 13, 1931, in Greenville, S.C., he lived in Fairfield for 32 years. He served in the Air Force in Korea and Vietnam before retiring as a technical sergeant from March Air Force Base in Riverside. He worked for Pacific Telecommunications for 20 years. He was a member of Travis Air Force Base Chapel Center, and a volunteer at David Grant Medical Center.

Mr. Allen was a loving husband and father.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Freddie of Fairfield; a daughter, Renee of Oakland; sister, Mary Cooper of Detroit, Mich.; aunts, Lillian Butler and Minnie Mims, both of Greenville, S.C.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, 508 Alabama St., Vallejo 94590.

Ramiro Aruza Alvarado

Funeral services for Ramiro Aruza Alvarado, 66, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien of St. Peters Catholic Church will preside. Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Alvarado died Feb. 2, 1998, in Vacaville after a sudden illness.

Born June 14, 1931, in Houston,  Texas, he lived in Vacaville for 45 years. He retired from Leslie Salt, and worked part-time as a security guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Alvarado was a very devoted and loving husband, father, and son. His love was working on his ranch and garden.

Mr. Alvarado is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lupe; mother and step-father, Margarita Sanchez and Ramon Rios of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Arthur Lindsay of Sacramento, Margie and Fransico Cerriteno, Irene and Cornelio Escoto of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Ramiro Jr. and Leeyanne of Vacaville; stepsisters and brother, Sophia Ramos and Manuela of  Texas and Joe Sanchez of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by step-father Ventura Sanchez and brothers, Marcelo Jimenez and Jose Alvarado.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

George Hampton Jr.

There will be no services for George Hampton Jr., 90, of Vacaville.

His ashes will be scattered over the Sierra Nevada.

Born May 19, 1907, in Scotland, he died Feb. 2, 1998, in La Mariposa Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield after a long illness.

Mr. Hampton was a quality control inspector for the U.S. Navy for 32 years. He lived in Fairfield for 17 years.

He is survived by son, George of Santa Rosa; and grandson Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife. Alexanderina, in 1992.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 884, Santa Rosa 95402.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Vaca Hills Chapel.

Ruby Hightower

Funeral services for Ruby Hightower, 62, of Davis will be 2 p.m. Monday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.

Interment will be at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Mrs. Hightower died Feb. 4, 1998, in Davis after a short illness.

Born Sept. 12, 1935, in Grass Valley, she lived in Davis since 1961. She retired after several years from University of California, Davis, Physical Plant. Ruby lived and grew up in Dixon and graduated from Dixon High School.

Mrs. Hightower is survived by a son, Thomas R. Moss Sr. of Davis; grandson, Thomas R. Moss Jr. of Davis; great-grandson, James R. Moss of Davis; sisters, Billie J. Mace of Lovelock, Nev. and Bonnie L. Contreras of Dixon; nieces, Sally A. Glide of Dixon, Jody A. Cleveland of Reno and Lynn M. Contreras of Folsom; and many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95616.

Huey 'Mac' Pierce McCain

A family memorial service for Huey "Mac" Pierce McCain, 62, of Vacaville was held Friday night.

Mr. McCain died Feb. 3, 1998, in Vacaville after a sudden illness.

Born Sept. 26, 1935, in Angie, La., he lived in Vacaville for more than 10 years. Mr. McCain retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service.

Mr. McCain is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Pamela of Savannah, Ga.; daughters, Jennifer of Fairfield and Pat Stout of Arkansas; son, Ronnie of Jackson, Fla.; brothers, Oscar of  Louisiana and Winford; sister, Winnie of  Texas; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Lovell Maurice Stowe

Funeral services for Lovell Maurice Stowe, 33, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Claybon Lea of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun will officiate. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Stowe died Feb. 3, 1998, at home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 14, 1964, in San Francisco, he lived in Suisun one year. He graduated from James Logan High School in Union City and attended Chabot College for one year. He was an all-league football and track star.

Mr. Stowe enjoyed writing poetry.

Mr. Stowe is survived by his mother, Ruby of Suisun; father, Darryl of Union City; maternal grandmother, Alice  Jefferson of San Francisco; paternal grandmother, Inez Singleton of Richmond; and brother, Damien of Suisun.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

John Edward Tommaney Sr.

Funeral services with full military honors for John Edward Tommaney Sr., 78, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W.  Texas St., Fairfield.

The Rev. Stan Sanderson will officiate and interment will follow at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Born Sept. 12, 1919, in Eufaula, Okla., Mr. Tommaney died Feb. 6, 1998, in Fairfield after a long illness.

A chief warrant officer in the Air Force, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He served in the Air Force for 24 years.

The Fairfield resident for 37 years and worked for Lawrence Laboratory in Berkeley for 21 years as an accelerator operator in the research division.

Mr. Tommaney was a member of the Radio Operator Club in Solano County, and loved to work on computers.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie of Fairfield; his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Joan of Fairfield, Tom and Eloise of Richfield, Wash., and Tim and Beverly of Fallon, Nev.; and granddaughters, Ann of Fairfield, and Cathy and Elizabeth of Richfield, Wash.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dennis 'Buck' Bradley

A memorial service for Dennis "Buck" Bradley, 45, of Suisun City is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 1108  Washington St. in Fairfield. The Rev. Michael McCamey will officiate.

Private burial will follow in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Oct. 11, 1952, in Biloxi, Miss., Mr. Bradley died Feb. 7, 1998, at his home after a long illness. He had lived in Suisun City for 32 years.

He worked in maintenance operations at Anheuser-Busch.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Claretta and Samuel Arab of Fairfield; sister, Linda Wright of  Washington; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa 95402; or the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2, 251 Begonia Blvd., Fairfield 94533.

Anna Cathernia Toselli

Private graveside services for lifelong Fairfield resident Anna Cathernia Toselli, 97, will be held at Rockville Cemetery. The Rev. Stan Sanderson will officiate and burial will follow.

Born Dec. 7, 1900, in Tolenas, Mrs. Toselli died Feb. 7, 1998, in Cordelia after a long illness.

She and her late-husband, Augusto, farmed pears in Suisun Valley for 70 years. She was a member of the Suisun Valley Fruit Growers Association and also enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Toselli is survived by her daughter, Rose Erickson of Suisun City; son, John Toselli of Vallejo; granddaughter, Claire Garcia-Robinson of El Cerrito; grandsons, Mike Garcia of Fairfield, Ray Erickson of Fairfield and his wife, Vicki; and great-grandchildren, Kristen and Ross Erickson of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Alice Garcia.

Memorial contributions may be made to NorthBay Hospice, 1800  Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield 94533.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Anita J. Goyette

Memorial masses for Anita J. Goyette, 88, of Santa Ana will be celebrated by her immediate family.

Mrs. Goyette died Feb. 3, 1998, in the Country Villa Plaza Nursing Home in Santa Ana after a long illness.

Born in Coaticook, Province of Quebec, Canada, Mrs. Goyette and her late husband raised their family in Fall River, Mass. and Portsmouth, R.I.

The couple moved to Southern California in 1960. She worked for the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles. They spent the last few years of their life together in Vacaville where she was a member of the Vacaville Art League and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Goyette is survived by her sister, Lucille Lefebvre of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada; children, Cecile Kinnaman of Bend, Ore., Renald of Farmington, Mich., Roger of Santa Ana and Jeannine Harmath of Santa Rosa; grandchildren, Debra Elder-Lambeth of Cave Junction, Ore., Brian McAfee of Eugene, Ore., Paul McAfee of Chico, Martin Kinnaman of Reno, Leslie Hammond of Tempe, Ariz., Michelle  Johnson of Englewood,  Colo., Marilyn Cislo of Novi, Mich., Denise of Redford, Mich., Kevin of Ontario, Scott of Apple Valley, Jeannette Gevedon and Vickie Ovady, both of Vacaville, Michael Rocheleau of Fairhaven, Vt., John Rocheleau of Concord, N.H., Gerald Rocheleau of Hopkinton, N.H., Renee Chamberlain of Jaffrey, N.H.; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel, on June 3, 1984.
