Genevieve M. Brignone

A Mass of Christian Burial for Genevieve M. Brignone, 71, of Vallejo will be 11 a.m. today in St. Basil's the Great Catholic Church, Vallejo.

Burial will be in All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo.

Born May 6, 1926, in Oakland, she died Feb. 10, 1998, in a Napa convalescent hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Brignone had been a metallurgy secretary at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for several years.

She was a member of St. Basil's the Great Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy Beatrice Portinari Lodge No. 1626.

Mrs. Brignone is survived by her daughter, Adriana Brignone-Forshay of Vacaville; sons, Riccardo and Rene of Vallejo; sister, Maryann Fuerstenberg of Vallejo; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in January 1997.

Vigil services and visitation were held Thursday in Twin Chapels Mortuary in Vallejo.

A memorial contribution may be made to a favorite charity.

Virgil Everett Brown

Graveside services for Virgil Everett Brown, 85, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Pastor Al Grandison of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Silveyville Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Feb. 9, 1998, in Sacramento after a long illness.

Born Oct. 1, 1912, in Independence, Kan., he moved to Dixon more than 50 years ago. He farmed in the Dixon area for Liberty Farms for more than 50 years.

Mr. Brown is survived by his son, John of Cleveland, Okla.; sisters, Alma Hartong of Plainfield, Ill., Jane Nelsch of Havana, Kan., and Wilda L. Bisset of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother, Lloyd Brown of Newburn, N.C.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Brown.

Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Society of Northern California, P.O. Box 1824, Sacramento 95812.

Arrangements are by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Grace Ann Campbell

Funeral services for Grace Ann Campbell, 90, of Vacaville will be private.

Born Jan. 25, 1908, in Seattle, she died Feb. 10, 1998, in Vallejo.

A Vacaville resident for 13 years, she had been a mechanic for Boeing Aircraft Co. for 38 years.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her son, Steven of Vacaville; grandsons, John S. and Christian A. of King City and Marco A. of Fairfield; and great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Brian, Veronica, Angelina, Desiree and Destiny.

Harry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Directors of Sacramento is handling arrangements.

Elmer Lichtenstern

Memorial services for Elmer Lichtenstern, 86, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Saturday in McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Lichtenstern died Feb. 9, 1998, in Vallejo after a brief illness.

Born Aug. 4, 1911, in Utah, he lived in Vacaville for 45 years. He worked for the U.S. government in civil service for 30 years. He was a member of AARP, past president of the Vallejo Artist League and the Audubon Society.

Mr. Lichtenstern was a wood carver and painter and also an animal lover.

Mr. Lichtenstern is survived by is wife, Sue of Vacaville; son, David of San Mateo; daughter, Argenia of Portland, Ore.; stepson, Tony Blount of Seattle; grandchildren, Lisa of San Carlos, Curtis of Scotts Valley, and Talana and Tutti, both of  Washington. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Brown.

Memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan House of San Mateo.

Michael William Lindgren

Memorial services for Michael William Lindgren, 50, of Pinole will be 10 a.m. Monday in McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Lindgren died Feb. 11, 1998, in Pinole after a short illness.

Born Nov. 7, 1947, in Vallejo, he lived in Pinole for five years. Until then, he had lived in Solano County. He worked as a health-care provider for Kaiser in Vallejo and Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. Mr. Lindgren graduated from Armijo High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Lindgren was an avid sports enthusiast who played golf, basketball, football and enjoyed restoring old furniture and collecting stamps and coins.

Mr. Lindgren is survived by his father, Scott A. of Vacaville; brother and sister-in-law, Scott T. and Leslie of Vacaville; loving companion, Ann Petrich of Pinole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to charity of the donor's choice.

Paul H. Price

Graveside services for Paul H. Price, 87, of Vacaville will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa. Interment will be private.

Mr. Price died Feb. 11, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born June 21, 1910, in Tehucana,  Texas, he moved to Vacaville 25 years ago. He worked for 45 years for Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a past member of Vacaville Moose Lodge.

Mr. Price enjoyed golfing, bowling and dancing.

Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Helen M. of Vacaville; daughters, Donna Jean McGroarty of Quebec, Canada, and Judy Ann Peterson of Clearwater, Fla.; brother, Jim Price of Youngstown, Ohio; and sister, Ruth Husted of Sacramento.

Memorial contributions can be made to the NorthBay Hospice, 1800  Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield 94533-9980.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

William G. DeWeerd

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday for William Gereth DeWeerd, 77, of Suisun City at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4113, 77 Marina Center, Suisun City.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Dec. 1, 1920, in Montreal, Canada, Mr. DeWeerd died Feb. 10, 1998, at home.

Mr. DeWeerd was a 30-year resident of Suisun City and was a loadmaster for the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 27 years in 1969. He was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4113, the Solano Yacht Club, the Loyal Order of Moose #861 and was active in the Boy Scouts of America.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Carole Rice of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen of Fairfield; stepson, Ron Rice of Vacaville; grandson, Kyle of Fairfield; granddaughters, Megan and Chelsea Balint of Fairfield; one niece; one nephew; and sister, Nora Smith of San Jose.

Arrangements are handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Frances Lucille Stockton

A Catholic Prayer Liturgy Service for Frances Lucille Stockton, 77, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Nauman-Lincoln-Roos, 322 Maple Ave., in South San Francisco.

The Rev. Tom McElliott will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Colma.

Born June 28, 1920, in  Oklahoma, Mrs. Stockton died Feb. 13, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Mrs. Stockton had been a supervisor at Pacific Bell for 30 years. She lived in Vacaville the past 17 years.

Mrs. Stockton is survived by her sons, Kenneth of Vacaville and Marvin of Roseville; daughters, Mary Golden of Brisbane, Veredyene Kerling of Santa Rosa, Gay Lee Simpson of San Francisco; sister, Cecelia Barnes of Redwood City; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Private visitation for family will be at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home in Vacaville.

Edith L. York

Memorial services for Edith L. York, 76, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. John Duncan of Grace Episcopal Church of Fairfield will preside. Inurnment will be private at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma.

Born May 5, 1921, in San Francisco, Mrs. York died Jan. 29, 1998, at La Mariposa Nursing Center in Fairfield after a long illness. She had lived in the Bay Area since 1954, and in Fairfield for 16 years.

Mrs. York worked as a secretary for Commercial Union Assurance Company in San Francisco in the 1940s before she got married in 1946.

She was a member and former officer of the San Mateo Garden Club. She loved flowers and gardening.

Mrs. York is survived by her husband, Howard of Fairfield; and son, Andrew of Mill Valley.

Contributions may be made to your local Parkinson Disease Foundation.

Don McGee

Funeral services for Don McGee, 61, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private.

Born March 10, 1936, in Burlington, N.C., Mr. McGee died Feb. 14, 1998, at his home after a long illness.

He owned and operated Campers-n-Stuff Recreational Vehicles Sales.

Mr. McGee He was a past member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge, Kiwanis Club, and Republicans Senatorial Inter Circle of  Washington, D.C.

Mr. McGee is survived by his wife, Brancy of Fairfield; daughters and son-in-law, Anita of Fairfield, and Jeannie and Steve  LeBlanc of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Tami of Roseville; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
