Kenysha Elizah Matthews
Funeral services for Kenysha Elizah Matthews, 10, of Fairfield will be 7 p.m. today at Vaca Hills Chapel. Chaplain Major Steven E. Barrett of Travis Air Force Base will preside. Burial will be in Milwaukee, Wis.
Born Dec. 11, 1987, in Tampa, Fla., Kenysha died March 16, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center after an ongoing illness. She moved to the area about four years ago.
She is survived by her parents, Kenny and Dawn of Travis; sister, Kia of Vallejo; grandparents, Dave and Peggy Bach of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Lessie Leon-Guerrero of Milwaukee; uncles, Rodney, Perry, Jack, Dave and Dale; and aunts, Valarie, Karen and Veneta.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Vaca Hills Chapel.

Donald H. Oakley
Services for Donald H. Oakley, 59, will be 11 a.m. today at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary in Sebastopol.
Born in McCelland, Ark., Mr. Oakley died March 13, 1998. He was raised in Sebastopol and attended Analy High School. He was a 4-H leader and was in the Printer's Union for more than 35 years. He donated much of his work to police and fire departments and schools.
Several years ago, he moved to Vacaville, where he was involved with an annual charity telethon. He enjoyed exploring his creativity in graphics and assembling model airplanes. He enjoyed spending time with his chihuahua, Wren.
Mr. Oakley is survived by his daughter, Jami of Elk Grove; son, Corey of Highland; mother, Bonnie of Sebastopol; brother, Wayne of Santa Rosa; sister, Gayle Russel of Dixon; and the mother of his children, Barbara of Sebastopol.
Donations may be made to the Sonoma County Cooperative Extension 4-H Program.
Laura M. Zizi
Funeral services for Laura M. Zizi, 44, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fairfield Funeral Home. Burial will be at East Lawn Sierra Hills Cemetery
in Citrus Heights.
Born Feb. 5, 1954, in Corona, Mrs. Zizi died March 15, 1998, at Sutter Oaks Convalescent Hospital in Carmichael after a long illness.
She was a certified nurse's aide and was a resident of Fairfield until a year ago. She was a graduate of Armijo High School. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Vacaville.
She is survived by her sisters, Marian Teays of Sacramento, Cecilia Caranham of Texas and Isabelle Hendrickson of Colorado; and brothers, Milton Gray of Kansas and Kenneth Gray of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; and mother, Evelyn Laurent.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Fairfield Funeral Home.
Roy Brasier
Funeral services for Roy Brasier, 74, will be 1 p.m. Friday in McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. Burial will follow at College City Cemetery.
Born Sept. 9, 1923, in Belleville, Ark., Mr. Brasier died March 16, 1998, in Suisun after a long illness.
He was a former resident of the Bay Area, Vacaville, Lake County and Plainview, Ark. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was a longtime member of the Western Houndsman Association and a lifelong horse owner and fancier. In his younger years, he worked for the JeDel Arabian Ranch in Pinole. He was a member of the International Machinists Union.
Mr. Brasier is survived by his sons, Ron of Michigan, Ted of Vacaville and Curt of Upland; daughters, Vicki King of Roseville, Betty Decious and Cathy Brasier, both of Fairfield; brother, Lloyd of Clearlake; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Janice; brother, Hayes; and sister, Janelle Johnson.
John Kelly
Services for John Kelly, 79, of Chico will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Christ in Chico.
Born Nov. 13, 1918, in Harligen, Texas, Mr. Kelly died March 17, 1998, at his home. He attended Abilene Christian University.
Mr. Kelly worked for Pan American Airlines as a pilot flying clippers. He loved the outdoors, spending time in Lake Almanor, collecting stamps and photography. He was a life member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Macy of Chico; daughters, Melissa Wilkinson of Nashville, Tenn., Marcia Graham of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marianne of Los Angeles; son, John of Sacramento; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Zoe.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Brusie Funeral Home.

Berenice Olive McGlone
Graveside services for Berenice Olive McGlone, 101, of Vallejo will be 2 p.m. Friday at Grangeville Cemetery
in Armona.
Born Jan. 31, 1897, in Siloam, Ky., Mrs. McGlone died in her sleep at her Vallejo home March 15, 1998, after a short illness.
Mrs. McGlone and her husband moved to California in 1925, and they established a thriving dairy ranch near Hanford. They later moved to Vallejo to work at Mare Island Naval Shipyard during World War II. For several years they lived in Napa, then retired back to Vallejo in 1970.
In her later years, Mrs. McGlone raised many species of plants and flowers which won prizes in county fairs and exhibits. Her great-grandfather was an officer in the American Revolutionary Army.
She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Hanford, Vallejo and Napa. She was a member of the Kings, Napa County and California State Grange, Vallejo Emblem Club No. 371, Napa-Solano Cactus Club, and was a life member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. McGlone is survived by her sons, Howard of Vallejo and Willard of San Diego; daughter, Hazel Losey of Sacramento; brother, Clingman Walker of Louisville, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Leonard; son, Leonard Jr., who was killed in action during World War II; and daughter, Betty Cuddy-Huffman of Vallejo in 1996.

Douglas Arthur Hague
Funeral services were held for Douglas Arthur Hague, 74.
Born Oct. 2, 1923, in San Jose, Mr. Hague died March 5, 1998, in Magalia after a long illness.
Mr. Hague grew up in Vallejo and attended Vallejo High School. In the early 1940s he was briefly employed in the sheet metal shop at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
He was best known for his expertise in automotive repair. As a master mechanic, he serviced all makes and models of vehicles while working at most of the major car dealerships in the Vallejo, Fairfield and Vacaville areas from 1950 to 1980.
Throughout his life and career, Mr. Hague was distinguished by the red hat he always wore. Even if someone did not know his name, he was quickly recognized as "the man in the red hat with a cigar."
Mr. Hague, who was self-educated, had several hobbies including photography, gun-smithing, engineering, watch repair and horticulture. Over his lifetime, he designed and built two family homes in Fairfield and Vacaville.
Also, he planted acres of trees, often grafting and experimenting with unusual varieties. A grove of redwood trees he planted at the Vallejo High School in the early 1940s still stands proudly today. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Hague and his wife, Peanie, moved to rural Fairfield in 1954. Today the Holiday Inn occupies that spot. In 1972, Mr. Hague moved to Vacaville, and in 1992, took up residency in Magalia.
Mr. Hague is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Damon and Barbara of San Jose, Lawyer and Joyce of Napa, Peter and Lisa, and Vernon and Kathy of Susanville; brothers, Edgar of Lockeford and Kenneth of Fremont; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peanie, in 1980.
Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society in Chico.
Edward Theodore Jelinski Jr.
A Mass of the Resurrection for Edward Theodore Jelinski Jr., 54, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Avenue, Vacaville.
The Rev. Benedict DeLeon will preside. Burial will be private.
Born Oct. 18, 1943, in Elizabeth, N.J., Mr. Jelinski died March 19, 1998, at VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville after a brief illness. He lived in Vacaville for the past nine years.
Mr. Jelinski had been employed for the past 34 years with Chevron USA, where he was a bulk delivery dispatcher. He was a devoted husband and father.
Mr. Jelinski is survived by his wife, Joann of Vacaville; daughters, Jill Cheshier of Vacaville and Jenny Bauser of Dixon; son, Rick of Vacaville; mother, Anna of Ocean Gate, N.J.; sisters, Jean Leary of Bayville, N.J., and Joyce Boertmann of Toms River, N.J.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Byron Rodger Lynn
Memorial services for Byron Rodger Lynn, 37, of Vacaville will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Salvation Army Community Services and Worship Center, 635 Williams St., Vacaville.
Chaplain Durell of the Salvation Army will officiate. Inurnment was private.
Born Sept. 10, 1960, in California, he died Feb. 22, 1998, in VacaValley Hospital after a sudden illness.
A resident of Vacaville for 12 years, he was a receiving clerk for North Bay Distributors Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Vacaville; stepson, Ben Barnes of Vacaville; parents, Byron and Lynn A. of Vacaville; grandmother, Mabel M. Koippe of Carmichael; brother, Robert of Vacaville; brother and sister-in-law, James and Christine of Hayward; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Forrest York of Texas; in-laws, Charlotte and Bill Smith of Chula Vista; four nephews; one niece; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Arrangements were by Vaca Hills Chapel.
Mary Jane Lowdon
A memorial service for Mary Jane Lowdon, 57, of Vacaville will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Building, 549 Merchant St., in Vacaville.
A family friend will preside. Inurnment will be private.
Born Dec. 17, 1940, in Canton, Ill., Mrs. Lowdon died March 20, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield after a sudden illness. She was a resident of Vacaville for 25 years.
Mrs. Lowdon worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Fairfield as an assistant manager for 16 years. She held various ranks in the DAVA, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star in Fairfield, and the National Association of the Valley Cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid bell collector.
She received congressional recognition on behalf of her work with Operation VA.
Mrs. Lowdon is survived by her husband, Richard of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and John Best of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Sgt. Richard Jr. and Renee of Ft. Hood, Texas, Vernon and Tammy of Vacaville; daughters, Laura Chapman and Sarah, both of Vacaville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Dolores Wilkinson, and Donald and Mary Wilkinson, all of Canton, Ill.; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and James Spangler of Michigan; grandchildren, Nathan, Ashley and Angelica Lowdon, Charles Coleman, Anthony and Kimberlee Best, Caitlin Chapman and Sarah Navarro all of Vacaville; and great-grandchildren, Julia and Patrick Lowdon, both of Vacaville.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Burl Dean Wilkinson, Arthur Henry Wilkinson and Clarence Alan Wilkinson.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Edward Lewis Perry
Funeral services for Edward Lewis Perry, 81, of Fairfield will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
The Rev. Vern Gomez of Oakdale will officiate. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery
in Suisun Valley.
Born Sept. 11, 1916, in California, he died in his Fairfield home after a short illness. He lived in Fairfield for 11 years.
Mr. Perry was a Navy veteran and had been employed by Greyhound in San Francisco. He had also worked as a chief mechanic supervisor for San Francisco Municipal Transportation District.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Vallejo.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Galina; daughters, Sandrann of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Valerie of San Francisco; son, Edward Jr. of South San Francisco; stepdaughters, Nena Dennis and Pauline Menefee, both of Woodland; stepsons, Joseph Ramos of Fairfield and Martin Ramos of Concord; sister, Lorraine Trull of Vallejo; and brother, the Rev. Vern Gomez of Oakdale.
Visitation will be held 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
