Kenneth Dale Victor

Memorial services for Kenneth Dale Victor, 66, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Episcopal Church in Fairfield. A celebration of life will follow in the church hall.

The Rev. John Duncan will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Born June 10, 1931, in Holland, Mich., Mr. Victor died April 15, 1998, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness. He moved to the area 31 years ago.

Mr. Victor graduated from Holland High School in Michigan and entered the Air Force shortly after graduation. He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base as a dental technician.

After military discharge, Mr. Victor worked for Bank of America for 15 years. He then served as vice president of Vaca Valley Bank until it was sold to Westamerica. He was founder and vice president of Continental Pacific Bank and retired after 32 years in the business.

Mr. Victor began a career in real estate when he went to work for Castle and Associates. He was a member of the Board of Realtors and was president of the chamber of commerce. He was past president and a life member of Fast Lion. He was a self-employed Realtor for 10 years.

He loved golf, travel, dancing and music. He was a member of the Green Valley Country Club and Grace Episcopal Church.

Mr. Victor is survived by his wife, Mary Jane of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Patrick Greer of St. Louis; stepdaughter, Kathryn Slomer of Sacramento; stepsons, Tim Slomer of Walnut Creek and Thomas Slomer of Seattle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Bob Stevenson of Holland, Mich., and Shirley and John McQueen of Gowan, Mich.; grandchildren, Vanessa and John, both of Fairfield, and Tiffany Greer of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews in Vacaville, Sacramento and Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1312 Maryland St., Fairfield 94533.

Arrrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Bill Rayn

Visitation for Bill Rayn, 45, of Dixon will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dixon Community Church, 955 East A St., Dixon.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dixon Community Church. The Rev. Rod Friedland will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Born April 1, 1953, in Woodland, Mr. Rayn died April 17, 1998, in Sacramento after a short illness.

A Dixon resident his entire life, he worked as a truck driver.

He belonged to the Dixon Boat Club and was president of Dixon Bids for Kids.

He also belonged to the Dixon Future Farmers of America chapter and volunteered for the Dixon May Fair and the Solano County Fair. He was very active in the Dixon High School football and basketball programs.

He enjoyed waterskiing, boating, his family and children and was very supportive of youth activities.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Dixon; son, Justin of Dixon; daughter, Misty of Dixon; father, Milton Rayn of Dixon; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Mike Asay of Sacramento; mother-in-law, Ruth Leber of Dixon; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolly, in 1993.

Memorial donations can be made to the Dixon Future Farmers of America, 455 East A St., Dixon, or Dixon Bids for Kids, P.O. Box 16, Dixon 95620.

Cleo Albers

A Catholic Prayer Service for Cleo Albers, 79, of Winters will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home, 569 First St., Dixon.

The Rev. Joseph Ternullo of St. Anthony's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Silveyville Cemetery.

Born in Dixon on April 2, 1919, Mrs. Albers died April 18, 1998, in Vallejo after a long illness.

A resident of Winters for three years, Mrs. Albers was a librarian for the past 30 years, most recently for the Vacaville Library.

She was past president of the Rotary Club in Hayward and of the Women of the Moose in Vacaville.

She enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, bingo and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, Charles of Winters; son, Larry Basco of Winters; stepdaughter, Dawn Blain of Iowa; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Muriel Dally and Lavern Witt of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, care of Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale, Vacaville.

David J. Conn

Funeral services for David J. Conn, 61, of Eddyville, Ky., will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Eddyville United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Steve McVay will officiate. Burial will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Mr. Conn died April 19, 1998, in his home in Eddyville.

Born Feb. 22, 1937, in Madera, he was a retired master sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam veteran and a retired civil serviceman.

Mr. Conn was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville and a member of the Fun Timer's Fishing Club in Eddyville.

Mr. Conn is survived by his wife, Marie Crouse; son, Christopher Conn of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Kim Sparks of Rincon, Ga., and Megan Lynn Conn of Eddyville; sister, Harriett Sturk of Madera; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Conn was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Marie Conn in February 1998.

Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Lucille 'Pam' Corbella

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille "Pam" Corbella, 75, of Vacaville will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Innocent Emechete will officiate. Burial will follow in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Corbella died April 18, 1998, at her home in Vacaville.

Born Sept. 4, 1922, in Wilbarger County,  Texas, she moved to Vacaville in 1953. She was a homemaker all her adult life. Mrs. Corbella was a member of St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Women's Club, and the Italian Catholic Federation. She also taught C.C.D. classes at St. Mary's and was responsible for the vestments made for and worn by all Eucharistic ministers at St. Mary's.

Mrs. Corbella had a very close and personal relationship with many Nigerian families and priests, whom she considered more of an extended family.

Mrs. Corbella is survived by her husband, Joe ; sons, Richard of Marysville, Douglas Ardans of Sunnyvale and Roger Ardans of Fairfield; daughters, La Juana Freeman, Waurayne Cole, Diane Ardans and Nancy Molinar, all of Vacaville, and Jeanette Jefcoat of Martinez; sister, Viola Robinson of Yuba City; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Food Locker, 350 Stinson Ave., Vacaville.

Austin Lind

Graveside services for newborn Austin Lind will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born March 31, 1998, in Walnut Creek, the infant died April 18, 1998, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo.

He is survived by his parents, Todd Anderson and Brenda Lind of Vacaville; maternal grandparents, Dave and Marilyn of Vacaville; paternal grandparents, David and Pat Anderson of Vacaville; paternal great-grandmother, Billie Todd of El Sobrante; aunts, Kendra Richardson and Teresa of Vacaville; and uncles, Troy Richardson and Danny of Vacaville.

Arrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Jose G. Ramos

Funeral services for Jose G. Ramos, 76, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon will preside. Burial will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Born Aug. 1, 1921, in Almaria, Spain, Mr. Ramos died April 20, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness. He lived in Vacaville for 46 years.

He worked for 25 years at Basic Vegetable. He enjoyed gardening and animals.

Mr. Ramos is survived by his wife of 51 years, Aurora of Vacaville; children, Frank and Anna Callison, both of Vacaville; grandchildren, Christy Callison, Jo, and Leslie Callison, all of Vacaville; great-grandchildren, Mercedes Beavers and Alexia Larlee, both of Vacaville; and sister, Anna of Spain.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McCune Garden Chapel. A rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Dorothy Julio

Memorial services for Dorothy Julio, 72, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Friday at Vaca Hills Chapel in Vacaville.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Born Feb. 1, 1926, in New Bedford, Mass., Mrs. Julio died April 18, 1998, at her Vacaville home after a sudden illness. She moved to the area in 1980. She had previously lived in Richmond from 1946 to 1980.

Mrs. Julio was a homemaker for 54 years. She enjoyed taking trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe, and loved playing bingo.

Mrs. Julio is survived by her daughters, Elaine Cook of Vacaville and Melody Garsee of Suisun; son, Michael of Vacaville; brother, Edwin Silva of  Texas; grandsons, Jeff of Kennewick, Wash., Derek of Vacaville and Matthew of Suisun; granddaughters, Dana Molica and Julie Cook, both of Vacaville; and great-granddaughter, Christina Molica of Vacaville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Americo "Mike" Julio in 1993.

William Chrysogelos

Funeral services for William Chrysogelos, 74, of Suisun will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Paul Penno of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vallejo will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery.

Born Jan. 29, 1924, in Albany, N.Y., Mr. Chrysogelos died April 20, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center after a brief illness. He lived in Suisun for 49 years.

He was a paratrooper in Europe during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war, he served in the California National Guard as a warrant officer.

Mr. Chrysogelos worked as a nuclear inspector at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 30 years.

He was devoted to community service and was an active participant in the Fairfield senior citizen activities. He also loved to golf.

Mr. Chrysogelos is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy of Suisun; daughters, Christine of Sacramento and Mary of Cameron Park; sisters, Andrea Poulous of Pensacola, Fla., Mary O'Brien of Trumansburg, N.Y., and Flora Sorenson of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; brother, Gus of Maine; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Sara Ferguson Boso

Upon her request, there will be no services for Sara Ferguson Boso, 82, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Born Nov. 20, 1915, in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Boso died April 21, 1998, at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She moved to the area five years ago.

Mrs. Boso was a manager for Bi-Low Drugs for 15 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Peggy of Vacaville; brother, Don Ferguson of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, Richard of Vacaville and Kimberley McGraw of San Diego.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Pete Romero Fortis

A funeral Mass for Pete Romero Fortis, 72, of Woodland will be 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church in Woodland.

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A vigil service will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Church.

Born April 21, 1925, in Oakley, Mr. Fortis died April 20, 1998, at his Woodland home. He was a retired tomato grower and had been a resident of Yolo County for 52 years.

He was a veteran of World War II, and received a Purple Heart while in the Army. He was a 37-year member of the Woodland Elks Lodge, a member of the Yolo Fliers Club, and a retired member of the Flying Farmers. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Fortis is survived by his wife, Hope of Woodland; sons and daughters-in-law, Art and Linda of Dixon, Tom and Karen of Woodland, and Carlos of Davis; mother, Dora of Woodland; sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Lou Flores of San Jose; grandchildren, Gino and Tasha, both of Dixon, and Jeff and Alex, both of Woodland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Peter.

Arrangements are by McNary's Chapel in Woodland.

Doris Moriel

A Catholic Prayer Service for Doris Moriel, 85, of Vacaville will be 12:30 p.m. Friday at the McCune Garden Chapel.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon of St. Mary's Catholic Church will preside. Burial will be at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born July 15, 1912, in Hawaii, Mrs. Moriel died April 21, 1998, in Vacaville after a sudden illness. She was a 70-year resident of Vacaville and Solano County.

Mrs. Moriel spent more than 50 years as a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and was an excellent cook. Also, she was proud that before her death, she was still independent and living at home.

Mrs. Moriel is survived by a daughter, Anne Nample of New Castle; son, Don of El Macero; sisters, Annie of Vacaville, and Carnation Tortosa of Paradise; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel; and son, John.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
